1:35 what’s that cord 6 on the A 9 on the D?

I’m playing 6 on the A and 9 on the D. So basically on E power chord but the root note down a fret. Not sure if it’s exactly what is being played but sounds about right!

What are your recommendations for people new to learning guitar?

I guess it depends on what genre you like! But for me, I played loads of green day and blink, cause it’s mainly just power chords. I think getting comfortable with power chords and strumming patterns is a really good base to start from!
