There are tons of guitarists on RUclips doing all sorts of flashy things, sweep picking at the speed of light, tapping their ass off, but this video is such a great example of just how great rhythm guitar can be, how important it is and how dope it can sound. That tone is just pure bliss, the precision you have in terms of getting the strokes right on the beat, the finesse in your palm muting is honestly incredible. This is the first video of yours that I've seen and I'm excited to see all of them, keep up the good work, Jess!

Years later, I’m coming here to say the same thing! I always enjoyed rhythm playing over lead. It takes skills to be a lead, but I feel like it’s easier for a rhythm person to play a lead part than it is for a lead to play rhythms

Hi Jess, I love your Tele in this vid. Is it stock? Looks like the bridge pickup might be aftermarket. I'm rebuilding my tele at the moment and looking for some pick-up ideas, plus I like the over-driven tones you were able to produce on this TSSF cover.
These are Seymour Duncan quarter pounders iirc, they’re some of the highest output single coils you can get I believe! Best of luck with the rebuild, it’s a lot of fun 🙂
