Being that I used very fine sand paper I only polished the crank surface and removed the softer bearing material stuck on the crank. None of the journal surface was reduced. I used standard size bearings. I'm now at 3,500 miles and still running strong.
What type of bearing did you replace the bad one out with? Did you use the OEM size or a different size due to having to sand the crank?
