  • In this video, I DEBUNK common myths about WEIGHT SHIFT in golf. Avoid the pitfalls of conscious weight shifting that disrupts balance during your swing. Instead, focus on your FEET-adjusting ground pressure can significantly enhance ball striking.
    The key is aligning FOOTWORK with your ARM swing, simplifying the intricate coordination of various swing components. These straightforward tips will elevate your swing without overwhelming analysis.
    I’m confident by eliminating Stinkin’ Thinkin’ and improving your CONCEPT you’ll hit the ball a lot better! Stop SHIFTING WEIGHT and start doing this ASAP! I know it’s going to improve your BALL STRIKING!

    Your explanations of the golf swing have helped me in a big way.
    The biggest "ahh haaa" was when you helped me understand I was rotating my body too much and that my hands and arms play a bigger role than I realized.
    I could go on and on, but my last 2 rounds have had some of the best ball striking in my life.
    Thanks for the help.

    I'm a new subscriber and I really like your teaching! The big message for me has been that you're giving me "permission" to use my arms for speed and not be so body-swing focused. I will work on dropping my arms and club into the slot to initiate my downswing and let the club take my body through to the finish. That's a real light bulb moment for me. Thanks!

      Yes sir! For most - tying the arms to the body and spinning your way to more speed is problematic! Transfer some energy into the club with your arms early, keep your back to the target and allow your arms to pull you through. It’s a FEEL v REAL of course but it’s been incredibly effective! Welcome aboard!

    This is pure excellence Andrew, especially the section starting at 3 mins -- I have tried to put this in place and believe me guys it really works when you've started to master the sequence starting loading the trail heel keeping the body facing away from the target. Takes some getting used to but gradually it becomes more natural to not start turning the body at that time and therefore getting the arms in front of the body and not blocked out ! As for the "Bug" advice I love it!!
    Once again many thanks Andrew,, your videos are "Best in Class", KR John

    Can this also be apply to the driver

    • @AndrewEmeryGolf
      @AndrewEmeryGolf  9 месяцев назад +2

      Yes sir! Lead leg pressure at impact remains pretty constant with irons and driver. It’s the mass (upper body segment) that remains more behind the ball at impact with the driver. Coach A. 🏌️‍♂️⛳️🙏🏻

    Hey Andrew, another very informative video with an easy to understand explanation of what to do. Amazing how fairly simple ideas like “squash the bug” is a great visual. I have been having issues with being noodle legged due to excessive movement. I went to my garage and used that visual and on video my slide was really no more and I was not early extending nearly as bad as I had been. Keep up the good work.

    • @AndrewEmeryGolf
      @AndrewEmeryGolf  9 месяцев назад

      Kicking the ground with your lead heel will help you stabilize your lead leg and maintain pelvic depth!! I prefer “squash the bug!” as a swing thought - But that’s just me! 😂. Thanks again for your comment, I’m glad it helped!

    Do i have to stand up on left leg with extension of left knee as I come to impact?or, just stay down ? I am keep collapsing like u said no matter what i do.

    • @AndrewEmeryGolf
      @AndrewEmeryGolf  Месяц назад

      Your lead leg should ‘brake’ as you move into and extend it! Think of the lead leg as a post that you swing your arms around! A noodle lead leg is not going to help you hit the ball consistently. Best, A. 🏌️‍♂️⛳️🙏🏻

    Very good Andrew. Would rolling the back foot and ankle, with the back knee sliding across toward the front knee be accurate, to stop the spinning of the hips early?

    • @AndrewEmeryGolf
      @AndrewEmeryGolf  9 месяцев назад

      Absolutely!! Hers a YT Short I launched the other day of a young man that was driving his trail knee and pelvis towards the ball in his transition.
      I positioned a pool noodle outside his trail knee to encourage that rolling motion you mentioned and it cured his early extension!! Good footwork isn’t talked about enough in golf. It’s all about the pelvis and the hips these days! Thanks for your comment!
