Watching these young men make me proud for our country these days
Yup, they're out doing the shit liberals hate. Being masculine. Enjoying the outdoors as it was intended by God to be enjoyed. Christians respect and accept that reality. Liberals would rather see men in women's jeans, cry a lot, and be communist and hate God and the land of the free.
They seem to be getting protein, just need to lift some weights.
Yes,, killing off native adult rattlesnakes in the middle of a mating ritual is quite noble.

@@hjonccers783 No, if they're fighting, wouldn't they be biting instead of cuddling each other lmao
@@dmnkona4242 they dont fight to hurt. they fight to get the female. they try and push the other one down, hence the "cuddling". they twist around each other and get their heads on top to shove the other head lower, so that the taller one wins

I had rattlesnake when I went to the Grand Canyon. It was on the appetizer menu--a small portion, maybe 12” or so, grilled with melted butter and lemon for dipping it in. It was so good that when my husband and I had finished it, we immediately ordered a second one. The waiter thought we were kinda weird but it was just so good we had to have more 😂
I had a crazy uncle that ran over one in the mountains when I was a kid. We cooked it in similar fashion. It was tender and delicious. I still have a knife with the rattle snake skin.
That's gross how can u stomach 2 of those things. Ugh u might as well drink stomach bile to. Some ppl so gross
@Torrential DownpourMondays just because you can't doesnt make other people gross, grow up.
The rattlers are both male Southwestern Speckled Rattlesnakes, common in Southern Nevada near Vegas. They were combating (fighting), not breeding. The geckos are Desert Banded Geckos.
That's what I was thinking. 2 males competing, so that means there was most likely a large female nearby that would've been really good to cook up.
I live in Las Vegas where can I find some to catch and cook

They arent mating. They are two males showing dominance
I was just about to say the same thing.
@@yamdut uh huh. Sure they are mating. Lol
@@yamdut They aren't mating they are fighting for dominance. As to killing them, I'm not one to kill something just to kill it no matter what it does or doesn't do, but for food is a different matter. I would totally agree with you if they only killed them just to kill them because they have it in their heads that rattlers are evil and kill dogs, cats and people, but they actually killed them for food just like thousands of people across the southwest and Mexico. The reason they went about doing it and their lack of understanding of the animals and total disrespect of said animals is not right, just for some views. If it was for a survival situation simulation or something like that, I wouldn't have a problem at all with what they did.
They are mating you can see ones got a reddish tent to its scales and the other is different

They were likely two males "fighting" for dominance, not mating. Also, I've heard (anecdotally) that rattlesnakes are adapting to rattle less because the ones that rattle more are easier to find and kill (since most people kill rattlesnakes on sight). Cool video! can't wait to try my own!

They are two males, competing. The two males will wrap around each other, trying to pin their head to the ground. This is common for venomous snakes.

The gecko is either a Western Banded Gecko or a Mediterranean Gecko. The western banded is native to the area, the mediterranean is an introduced species; they look very similar. And both are pretty widespread throughout the southwest deserts. The difference seems to be how heavy they get. One can and does like to chill on walls, the other will largely stay on the ground. I forget which is which. The leopard geckos look similar, but not quite the same. They also tend to be more spotted instead of striped/banded.

haha i cant believe they thought it was a leopard gecko
LucasPlayzaToaster dont question sin city outdoors
LucasPlayzaToaster he literally said he’s pretty positive it’s NOT a leopard gecko
"You can go first (pause)....just in case its raw" 14:22 that was funny 😊
I understand why you are hunting these snakes but I still think it's important to understand why they are here. Urbanization has pushed several species, from golden eagles to rattlesnakes, into small highly condensed areas where they can become overpopulated, leading to un-ideal encounters between wildlife and humans. Yes, generally hunting them is good to keep their populations under control, its important to not kill too many, such as in rattlesnake roundups. Think to the passenger pigeon, they used to be so densely populated that swarms of them would fill the skies, but now, less than 100 years later, not a single one exists today. And it's amazing to think that people once thought there was no reason to be concerned with their populations, there is so many, so so very few people preserved them, at least well, and because of that very few preserved specimens are still intact. I am fortunate enough to volunteer at a place that has a well-kept passenger pigeon taxidermy, one of I believe only 4 recorded on this side of the Mississippi. Yes, population control is important for the safety of not only humans but also other wildlife, it's also important to understand, respect, and monitor these wild populations.
