Yup, they're out doing the shit liberals hate. Being masculine. Enjoying the outdoors as it was intended by God to be enjoyed. Christians respect and accept that reality. Liberals would rather see men in women's jeans, cry a lot, and be communist and hate God and the land of the free.

I had rattlesnake when I went to the Grand Canyon. It was on the appetizer menu--a small portion, maybe 12” or so, grilled with melted butter and lemon for dipping it in. It was so good that when my husband and I had finished it, we immediately ordered a second one. The waiter thought we were kinda weird but it was just so good we had to have more 😂

@@yamdut They aren't mating they are fighting for dominance. As to killing them, I'm not one to kill something just to kill it no matter what it does or doesn't do, but for food is a different matter. I would totally agree with you if they only killed them just to kill them because they have it in their heads that rattlers are evil and kill dogs, cats and people, but they actually killed them for food just like thousands of people across the southwest and Mexico. The reason they went about doing it and their lack of understanding of the animals and total disrespect of said animals is not right, just for some views. If it was for a survival situation simulation or something like that, I wouldn't have a problem at all with what they did.

They were likely two males "fighting" for dominance, not mating. Also, I've heard (anecdotally) that rattlesnakes are adapting to rattle less because the ones that rattle more are easier to find and kill (since most people kill rattlesnakes on sight). Cool video! can't wait to try my own!

The gecko is either a Western Banded Gecko or a Mediterranean Gecko. The western banded is native to the area, the mediterranean is an introduced species; they look very similar. And both are pretty widespread throughout the southwest deserts. The difference seems to be how heavy they get. One can and does like to chill on walls, the other will largely stay on the ground. I forget which is which. The leopard geckos look similar, but not quite the same. They also tend to be more spotted instead of striped/banded.

I understand why you are hunting these snakes but I still think it's important to understand why they are here. Urbanization has pushed several species, from golden eagles to rattlesnakes, into small highly condensed areas where they can become overpopulated, leading to un-ideal encounters between wildlife and humans. Yes, generally hunting them is good to keep their populations under control, its important to not kill too many, such as in rattlesnake roundups. Think to the passenger pigeon, they used to be so densely populated that swarms of them would fill the skies, but now, less than 100 years later, not a single one exists today. And it's amazing to think that people once thought there was no reason to be concerned with their populations, there is so many, so so very few people preserved them, at least well, and because of that very few preserved specimens are still intact. I am fortunate enough to volunteer at a place that has a well-kept passenger pigeon taxidermy, one of I believe only 4 recorded on this side of the Mississippi. Yes, population control is important for the safety of not only humans but also other wildlife, it's also important to understand, respect, and monitor these wild populations.
