  • Having to deal with the last person's bodge, meant that I lost a lot of time to get this issue sorted. How do some people get away with doing this like this?

    Blimey bud, I only replace the diaphragms as they split, six screws. Hours work and on to the next. Worcesters were easy until they slung them over the back of the boiler.
    Well done to you though bud 👍👍

    As an engineer my self mate, I would be pushing for a new boiler. Been there many times fixing old boilers and there's no money in it, in my opinion anyway.

    • @cputilitysolutions
      @cputilitysolutions  10 месяцев назад +3

      Depends on the extent of the repair needed. This one was pretty spotless inside, I've been to much newer boilers in much worse condition. I don't think this job warranted a new boiler personally

      You can easily make money fixing boilers. Not to mention you gain yourself a customer. If you fix the boiler when someone else just wants to flog them a boiler when it is time to change, who do you think gets the job?

    I have a 3 port Motorized valve I change it with a new one it worked for one day on ch and then I changed the synchro it worked for a week now again it’s not working on ch the hot water is working fine boiler is fine any idea why is it doing this the system has been running okay for 20 years any help please

    • @cputilitysolutions
      @cputilitysolutions  10 месяцев назад +1

      You may need to check your external controls to see if they're all working ok too

    • @CarlAtkinson-zu1zh
      @CarlAtkinson-zu1zh 10 месяцев назад +1

      Probably the actuator rather than the valve

    • @CarlAtkinson-zu1zh
      @CarlAtkinson-zu1zh 10 месяцев назад

      Never replace the synchron motor as it’s normally the teeth on the lever that the motor moves into position that don’t align up properly replace the whole valve and motor and be done with it

    • @CarlAtkinson-zu1zh
      @CarlAtkinson-zu1zh 10 месяцев назад

      British Gas tell all their engineers to replace synchro motors to save money but when you have to go back for a recall they complain that you didn’t complete a first time fix, you just can’t win, get the job done the way you think it needs to be done without anyone else telling you otherwise

    I had it before mate customer rang had an engineer to change diverter 2 days later flooded her kitchen she didn’t want him back he flicked the clip off lost it and used a zip tie cowboys everywhere take the diverter out with the micro switches on just mark them with a marker pen the way they went much easier 👍 another tip take the old one and buy the refurb kit and renew the old one at home at night always have a spare in your van times money 💪

    Should be a clip on either side of the bypass

    • @CarlAtkinson-zu1zh
      @CarlAtkinson-zu1zh 10 месяцев назад +1

      Make sure you replace the o rings on both sides before reconnecting

    • @CarlAtkinson-zu1zh
      @CarlAtkinson-zu1zh 10 месяцев назад +1

      The side of the bypass you didn’t disconnect will start leaking because you disturbed it by disconnecting the connection on the 3 way valve, it might not but be prepared for a nightmare if it does 😂😂😂😂
