I wonder if, with the UNSC Infinity being a pseudo-parallel to High Charity, if it will suffer a similar fate? I’d be interesting in seeing a flood infested Infinity.
As unsure as I am that this will actually happen this would also allow for a flood horror game. Imagine playing as a crewman trying to get off the Infinity while marines and ODSTs are infected, SIVs trying and failing to take control of the situation. Would be pretty cool. Better than 4 and 5, but that's about it.

I’d think it would be cool to have expansions to the game that offer single-player content in addition to multiplayer. For instance, each such season or expansion could have a different theme, with weapons, vehicles, and cosmetics supporting that theme. There are currently a lot of narrative loose ends in the halo franchise, and having new multiplayer maps and campaign missions that share assets between them could be pretty efficient, and provide longevity and diversity of gameplay. For instance, imagine a plot line set during or after infinite involving the _Shadow of Intent,_ and at the same time the update adds covenant or elite-themed maps like heretic, snowbound, and assembly, as well as weapons, skins, and maybe even new equipment to fit the theme.
This was a fantastic bit of sci-fi writing let alone would be Halo lore. Fantastic writing and I can only imagine how long it took you to put this together. My only revision would be to the part where the Didact pulled John thru the portal. Somehow someway a part of the original Cortana was buried deep with the Didacts domain. Seeing John 117 in danger she comes forth rescuing chief one last time. Or it could even be the evil cortana and she could say something to the point of “ you might have been whiling to let me die but I could never let you perish. Boom John and cortana ride off into the sunset. Either way fantastic job. Parts of this video actually had me get emotional. I hope I’m not the only grown man that loves halo so much this video sparked real emotion in me.
As an 800mm Railway Gun, this is my Story Prediction/Theory regarding Chief, Cortana and The Weapon: Chief and T.W. will initially begin their story an awkward team-up as a result of having such little time spent working together. Not knowing eachothers personalities, motives and overall gap in the level of lived experience between a seasoned Chief and a greenhorn AI, T.W. Eventually, over the period of infinite (which is a 10 year timeframe) Chief and T.W. will grow as a team causing T.W. to unlock more of herself and her humanity from what she has learned. Ultimately, bonding over their shared goals, achievements and struggles. Becoming just as tight as Chief and Cortana once were but Chief having learned from his past mistakes will attempt to come across with a wiser, more mentor based love for his AI companion rather than one of mindless machine. (A bond akin to Kratos and his son.) Along the way, It will be revealed to both that T.W. is in fact a younger sibling to Cortana made by Dr. Halsey hence the similarity of appearance yet having a more youthful stature. Also discovering that her name isnt simply 'The Weapon' as the UNSC has labeled her, but in fact the name given to her by Dr. Halsey is actually 'Joyeuse.' (A reference to the story of Curtana, Joyeuse and Durendal each owned by Ogier the Dane, Charlemagne and Roland.) Through all the trials and tribulations the duo face, the time will eventually come when Chief and Joyeuse will be confronted by the (Not Deleted) now further corrupted Cortana. Chief will begin to show some of his humanity and old wounds by feeling conflicted over whether or not he should save his once faithful companion turn monster or mercifully put her down. As a result of the events in H5, corrupted Cortana has an unhealthy obsession of Chief and once seeing him with his 'Replacement', her own sister AI. She will snap, feeling betrayed and lash out at both Chief and Joyeuse in her jealousy and rage with no remorse because she feels she has been cheated or slighted by an AI she either will or will not view as her true sister as well as the one she thought of as a 'Lover'. Feeling as though everything she had done in H5 to keep and have John 117 for herself, was for nothing. As a result she will feel all her efforts to create a peaceful galaxy were in vain and begin the process of going full on scorched earth on every and all who stand in her way, twisting the knives of old wounds in the process. In the end, the UNSC and its foes may unite briefly to put an end to a far more invasive threat. But putting down Cortana will test the resolve of Chief and Joyeuse to their absolute limits. Knowing Chief needs to kill a once dear friend and Joyeuse knowing she will have a hand in killing her own sister. Coming through this dilemma together, it will cement their bond and strengthen their resolve as a dynamic duo. Ultimately hardening them for what further storms come in the future.
One could only hope... That being said, even if it's not realised at all, the narrative you've put together is worhty of it's own standalone series. You've got me pumped with inspiration with this one
Would be kinda cool if Cortana's entrance into the Domain and commandeering of the Forerunner's remaining systems throughout the galaxy actually bore fruit for everyone, like a discovery that the Halo array can be retooled or tuned to target Flood infection forms exclusively.
We don’t need Arbiter dying on us. Chief already lost Jonson, both and Keys’. Sgt. Jonson already told Chief in his dying breaths to never let her go. That’s all the motivation he needs.
The only thing I have to say is in regards to what the Librarian did to chief. I love the way you kept the ending almost open. It makes a pathway for yet another Halo game. What I want to say is this, though, we don't know what the Librarian did to the Master Chief. She obviously made him immune to the effects of the composer but what else? Did she increase his lifespan to that if ancient humanity? Did she replace some of his organs with other things that would make him more like a cyborg but the replaced organs are somehow an organic machinery in the same way that the engineers are organic machines? We don't know. What I can say for a fact is that if Infinte goes the way you theorize then we will find out. I personally would love the idea of the Chief having the same lifespan as ancient humans. Maybe in his time in the Domain he'll learn how to unlock that longevity for all humanity. There's so much more theorizing we could do but we won't truly get answers until the developers of the Halo universe say things are a certain way
Someone get this man a job at 343 taking over the story that was amazing you should really do audio books you have definitely the Voice and the way you tell stories
Number 9 almost made me cry thinking of that. wow. 343 needs to contact you Installation00 and get your help with Infinite. The Legend Returns. I got goose bumps from that
Halo has to end with the ultimate defeat of the Flood, they're the main enemy in the series, the beginning (precursors) and the end: (in victory consuming the galaxy) in defeat allowing humanity to claim the mantle. Then the galaxy can finally know peace to the tune of Roll Call
As sad as it may be, I think the most fitting way for chief to go out is with a classic one liner, a call back to what is at that point a nearly 2 decade old game. In a first person persepective we see chief prepare the halo to fire, seeing the ring is ready to activate, and his final duty is complete, he takes seat against the cartographer's console, removing his helmet he finally comes to terms with who he is and what it takes to be the Master Chief - a symbol of hope for not just huimanity, but every living thing in the universe. He looks back down at the cracked and battered version of his iconic helmet, in the murky reflection of its visor we see the gravemind and diadact battling it out. Realizing there's no other way he knows what he's gotta do. While the Halo prepares to fire, and the swarm of flood apporach the chief, we cut back to the arc where fred's finger remians pressed just above the activaiton button "John?" We hear chiefs war aged voice one last time over the comms. "Send me out...with a bang" The halo fires, and a beam of white light engulfes the chief and the flood just before they get to him. Fade to Black Queue Iconic Piano notes. End of series - probably in the late 2020's imho
Once again the truth is revealed and told. Attention on deck. The lore master is here. As you discribe the possible story you for see. A tear comes to my eyes. So well told. A devastating storyline that only a lore master can say. I'm glad you have told it. I look forward to the new halo infinite game. What I wonder will be the story they take in game? Find peace in the domain. As always standing by 5-5. Acdemiclamb171.
If I don't get dinosaurs I'm going to be upset. ODSTs, dinosaurs, explanations for the Assembly and whether this is actually Cortana and and and and and .... *sobs* I'm drunk and just wanted to write a comment early, it's my first time. I love you Installdubzeds
I'd love to see a scene or epilogue between Chief and the Didact where after they fight, the Didact finally compromises with the Chief, and let's go of what's been holding him back for all these lifetimes of experiences. Seeing just how far the Chief is willing to go, to not just protect humanity but the galaxy a as whole, should pay off in some way. I'd love to see a scene where the 2 talk, where the Didact digs deep into the mind of Chief and finally acknowledges Humanities worthiness. Or something similar.
I won't lie, those last three predictions gave me chills. There is so much potential for a truly terrifying reveal of the flood's return to galactic dominance. If 343i actually plans to take the story down this route (or one similar to this) I hope they lean into the horror aspect to really impress the feeling of impending doom onto the player.
Right? Like just for a minute or so, he begins to turn, but he's fighting it with all his might, and right when the flood have won and taken him over,, the firing array kills them all.
Absolutely immaculate storytelling for just speculation i love this video your finally was emotional and beautiful im at work but hell I'd love to type a longer comment
I feel like the infinity likely was destroyed at zeta in an event before the game. It gives me much the same vibes as say ODST where you're learning what happened as you continue the story. It's also unlikely that theres a secret to defeat the created on the ark, I feel like there's likely a much larger story beat upcoming. Atriox has always felt like a brute arbiter character so it would be nice for a sort of uneasy brotherhood to form between the three from some sort of unifying threat I also feel like having the chief die in a battle with didact would perhaps be a misstep, in your endgame scenario, it would be much more impactful for the chief to have to face something he cares about in order to activate the halo likely manipulations by the gravemind or something facing his most internal threat, sacrificing himself, saving the galaxy. It's also poetic that the chief, likely iso didact geas firing the halos again.

OMG that was the best written ending that could ever be written!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
One could only hope... That being said, even if it's not realised at all, the narrative you've put together is worhty of it's own standalone series. You've got me pumped with inspiration with this one
This shook me, and this is how it should be done. Wow honestly had goosebumps
Would be kinda cool if Cortana's entrance into the Domain and commandeering of the Forerunner's remaining systems throughout the galaxy actually bore fruit for everyone, like a discovery that the Halo array can be retooled or tuned to target Flood infection forms exclusively.
Wow this is way better than what's going to happen.
We don’t need Arbiter dying on us. Chief already lost Jonson, both and Keys’. Sgt. Jonson already told Chief in his dying breaths to never let her go. That’s all the motivation he needs.
Indeed.
Damn never thought a halo theory could hot me in the feels so hard...
Something about hearing Chief referred to as Leonidas, king of the spartans almost brought a tear to my eye.
BLOOD OF KING LEONIDAS
FUUUUUUUUUUU.... That ending... I got goosebumps all over... DAMN!! That was one hell of a video!
now that Infinite is out and most people have completed the campaign, this video is past due for a follow up
The only thing I have to say is in regards to what the Librarian did to chief.
Return of the Didact?
Yes, please!
EDIT: Damn, that's some good fan-fic. I hope at least some of it will happen.
27:05 "...Sir. Finishing This Fight"
While the Halo prepares to fire, and the swarm of flood apporach the chief, we cut back to the arc where fred's finger remians pressed just above the activaiton button "John?"
We hear chiefs war aged voice one last time over the comms.
"Send me out...with a bang"
The halo fires, and a beam of white light engulfes the chief and the flood just before they get to him.
Fade to Black
Queue Iconic Piano notes.
End of series - probably in the late 2020's imho
Jeez Installation00 that ending was amazing.
Very solid video. Thank you. You should make more vids like this. It was very soothing
Man, I kinda wish you were in charge of Halo’s story development in some capacity.
This felt more like one big prediction rather than 10 seperate ones
Man 343 should just bring you on as a writer at this point.
Didn't predict it would be incomplete, terrible, and done for good. Nice try though.
Sadly, Infinite didn't save Halo, it killed it.
Love it! Keep at it man. Been with halo since Mac world days. Love your in depth videos and analysis.
Why would you want Chief to die. Let him retire peacefully. He is literally the face of xbox.
Because heros don't come home.
"Show me a hero and I'll write you a tragedy." F. Scott Fitzgerald
Your prediction of chief made me cry, but thats how they should do it. Honestly. So good
14:30 THANK YOU! Glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks evil Cortana is a fragment that got repaired by the Domain
This was absolutely amazing to be honest great scriptwork and the ending that's the cherry the chief surviving In a uncomplicated way.
Thanks for the book spoiler warning! I bought 10 halo books a few months ago to get caught up on the lore and haven’t read those two yet!
Goddamn, that sounded like an awesome end, finally using the damn rings and the Ark for what they're supposed to be.
This was a fantastic theory, great work on these videos!
You told a beautiful story and I hope the next 10 years are like this but we will just have to wait and see.
I like the idea of Chief turning into a flood. Just imagine how heart breaking it would be.
Right? Like just for a minute or so, he begins to turn, but he's fighting it with all his might, and right when the flood have won and taken him over,, the firing array kills them all.
WOW. My mind is now going a mile a minute with absolute Wonder. Bring on THAT Halo Canon!👊💥🇺🇸
Interesting predictions… The first part was a little off, but let’s see where the rest of the game takes us.
Absolutely immaculate storytelling for just speculation i love this video your finally was emotional and beautiful im at work but hell I'd love to type a longer comment
If Escharum ends up being an easy anticlimactic boss, the build up given to him would be hilarious
Atriox has always felt like a brute arbiter character so it would be nice for a sort of uneasy brotherhood to form between the three from some sort of unifying threat
I also feel like having the chief die in a battle with didact would perhaps be a misstep, in your endgame scenario, it would be much more impactful for the chief to have to face something he cares about in order to activate the halo likely manipulations by the gravemind or something facing his most internal threat, sacrificing himself, saving the galaxy. It's also poetic that the chief, likely iso didact geas firing the halos again.
A cool ending would be to find out that chef and Kelly have a kid that picks up chiefs mantle and legacy.
