I would genuinely want to see an overgrown and abandoned version of the city made by the devolved Ancient Humans on Zeta Halo within Infinite and possibly gain more information on our technologically superior past versions. Maybe just documents or temples. That would not only increase the lore but flesh out the world itself and make it more exiting to explore.
Is it possible that the humans who survived on Zeta Halo after the firing of the Halo Array left the Halo at one point in the past 97,000 years? It is a very very long time. Maybe there could be potential of stories of kingdoms or states forming on the Halo but eventually falling apart or maybe they could of have they're own miniature wars with the Flood fighting alongside the Sentinels against some of the Graveminds remaining on it thinking it like a war of armageddon from their point of view and decided to leave Zeta Halo because it was too dangerous for them live on it at some point. So much possible stories to create on a single super structure you could even have a Dark Souls style kingdom with ruins of ancient castles, temples, and libraries of tales of certain individuals or cities.
@@GrexTheCrabasitor Makes some sense. Though prior to this, we'd assumed they'd all been moved to the Ark, and then Earth. That crashed ship also does LOOK a bit like one of the ones in Halo 4 Terminals...
Regarding the ten year plan idea, I don't think it should be done to "evolve" the story or change what will be there at launch. The ten year plan should be a story expansion every year. we start with the base zeta halo story, maybe for the next year or two we get continuations of it, then the third year we get a story expansion off of zeta Halo with different characters. Then another set of characters the next year. Then back to chief off of zeta halo, etc. It shouldn't be "oh this next year they're gonna unlock this island and there will be this there, and then next year they'll change the way the story starts."
I don't mean to undermine your comment, but hiddenxedia still does, halo canon still does, rocket sloth still does, Uber Nick still does. Lots of halo channels still do, it's just that OO has a unquie perspective on alot of halo content, not to mention that his channel is relatively newer than All the other ones I mentioned so he has more content to make videos about. **His stuff is still fantastic though**

I was thinking what if the "damage" we see on zeta halo is not actually damage, but instead a jettisoned portion of ring being rebuilt? If a section of ring is heavily damaged or infected, wouldn't it make sense to jettison the part and replace it? We see in halo 3 that when the ark builds a ring, it does not seem to build it completed. So, it would make sense that a ring could rebuild a section if damaged. The only way a ring can be truly destroyed is to break the ring in multiple locations, making repairs impossible.
Ok, I got a crackpot theory. What if brutes are descendants of Mara? Like the Forerunners reseeded Mara's species and allowed them to continue to evolve. Just a thought.
Itd be kind of a funny reveal and it would give the brutes a species-wide reason to hate humanity. On top of that we could definatly use more expansion on brute culture.
My brother waited 25 years to tell me he saw a Sasquatch. 1991, Lake DeGray campsite in Arkansas. It looked down on him though the tent screen. About 7 ft. tall, hairy face and he thought it was a homeless man or a demon. They locked eyes for less than a few seconds and it left without a sound.
That 10 years of repetitive "Proto Gravemind" hunting will get pretty old pretty fast for long time players. Especially from a Game Designer perspective. If anything there MIGHT be a single instance of neutralising or containing the flood and the graveminds. Or it will be delegated to a book that can solely deal with all 10
I like that title. A video about 7 Mysteries of the 7th Installation of the 7 rings from the game made by a company whose favourite number is 7 which is now owned by a company whose number is 7 cubed, and the video is watched by me on the 7th of the month (AEST, 1:01am currently)
I´m hope on this 10 years we would be able to get access to Maethrillian, whit characters like the Precursor´s version of the prometheans and a contact with Abbaddon. And visit the remainings of the Greater Ark, or the planet that used to form the Maginot Line. There´s so much posibilities
I love going back and watching videos that were made during the period of great speculation before the release of Halo: Infinite. There were some great speculative theories cast about on this channel and others. Some of them were actually far better ideas than what 343 gave us. If only game devs would listen to us... Imagine the lore and game quality we could achieve.
One thing I have noticed in the Infinite campaign, is that some of the crashed UNSC frigates laying about the landscape appear as if they have been there for thousands of years. There are no impact craters or other damage to the landscape that would indicate an impact from a starship crash landing. Like the trough the Pillar of Autumn created when it crashed on installation 04. The way the rocks and environment have built up around some of these vessels gives the impression that they have been there for a very long time.
Really great video here, and while I don't think we've seen too much to concretely suggest that the ideas proposed here will come to fruition, I am very hopeful that at least some of these things are explored. One thing I would really like Infinite to have (not lore-related) is water combat, possibly with the boat that was hinted at in a toy not too long ago. I just hope that with the blank canvas that is Infinite, 343i does a good job covering it in old and new, in high detail for seasoned lore enthusiasts, while keeping accessible and interesting for new players.
I can imagine a palace of pain campaign dlc where you fight against some horrific creations and or the flood itself in somewhat of a horror type setting 🤙
43 year theory, the primordial by some means, moved the halo to another universe to the Precursors the few that remained. And altered the halo just enough so that when the time was right they could release the flood and simultaneously disable all the halos
Or worse: the flood was the rough equivalent of a parting shot. An insult. The actual righteous genocide the precursors had been plotting this entire time was far more potent and dangerous...
You should put links in the description that link to each time in the video where a new section or point starts. If you do that, it divides up the play bar and makes "chapters" on the video, it could help people find what they don't know about. Nice video!
Considering that Ancient Humans fought toe to toe against exponentially-larger numbers of the technologically-superior Forerunners on a constant basis for over a millennium, AFTER being crippled by the Flood and with said Forerunners jamming and clogging their Slipspace travel to all hell, likely something like this: AH: "Dear Humanoid civilization: We can respect your accomplishments and feats in the face of a superior adversary, as well as your advances in knowledge and culture. However, you are still 50,000 years too primitive and inexperienced to demand anything of us. Now excuse us, we need to go check the next galactic cluster for any Flood biding their time from the old days."
It's extremely interesting having this video play after the game has been out for a while. I absolutely wish your version on Halo Infinite came out. The release, to me, feels very empty deep lore wise.
They best not do world events that come and go. I'd HATE that. One of the best parts about Halo is that you can always go back and re-experience the story over and over. If they made world events that lasted for a week and then were never playable ever again that would be BS. Any additions or expansions to the story have to be permanent, and any modifications have to be made for the sake of improving the vision of the game. (changing a level design because it was poorly made or overhauling the visuals of a level because they were ugly.) World events don't even make sense here since it's not an MMO.
I'm always excited for new lore about Halo. I've read or listened to the majority of the books and course played all the games, seen the animation. There is no game I know more lore about then Halo. However... I would be a lot more excited for more flood lore and lore around the meddlers or ancient humans. I've been silent about a lot of my theories over the years but around Halo 3 I mentioned to a few friends what was going to happen with Halo 4 and 5. I ended up being right with only 2 mistakes. As one such theory I belive the grave mind has 1 single thing it wants, as a type of last will. To test humanity, guide them and allow them to progress. Once humanity is ready the gravemind will start it's seige and it's true war vs humanity. If humanity comes out as the victor they will gain the mantle and the technology and knowledge the flood holds. If they fail the grave mind's singular task is complete and the galaxy will restart.
I truly hope that they go full open world with Infinite like they seem to be doing. I mean, it's a pipe dream (pun unintended), but could you imagine driving a Warthog or flying a Pelican around the inside diameter environment of a Halo? I don't think they'd go THAT far with the game world (that would be a bigger world size than any open world game to date) considering the size of Zeta Halo (and to think it used to be even bigger...). But, hey, a man can dream.
The lore behind all of this really is great and gets me excited for infinite but after that Halo 5 story I don't know what to expect 343 to actually make
Hopefully better stuff, with Brian Reed now done (yet he started SO well, in Spartan Ops...) and with Staten coming back. And O'Conner's been pretty solid - when he wasn't spinning wheels for the plot TOO MUCH...
In Halo: Cryptum, upon seeing the Primordial’s containment chamber on Charam Hakkor; Chakas and Riser both unlock lost memories from their geas of ancient humans about what was inside the chamber. If the long-standing theory that Chief contains the Iso-Didact’s pattern in his geas given to him by the librarian is true. What if in Infinite you find the Primordials resting place, like you suggest however among the extremely unsettling ambience and atmosphere, upon looking into the chamber a number of different images and memories begin to flash confusingly and disorienting across the screen. Chief catching glimpses of the Iso-Didacts memories. A pipe dream to be sure, but it would be so cool!
I think we need to question the whole narrative around the precursor dust becoming "corrupted" as advance as the Precursors were you'd think such a scenario would not be plausible.
I haven't seen any large herds of creatures yet. And the graphics are as good as the trailer. Who else is watching this again after playing Halo Infinite?
It’d be cool and good to play as a forerunner in the ancient times later on in the game, for reasons hopefully not similar to lack of other content ideas
Gigantopithicus doesn't have an L in it by the way. Not to disparage the video, it's all great content and it's a tiny issue but just thought you'd like to know
Zeta Halo was needed for a war in the past, and was stolen by the future to be sent back, ala Babylon 4. But then they realized that if it didn’t fire with the rest they’d all be screwed, so they hid it close to where it used to be and waited until it was taken to reveal it, but were late.
So, if 10 Proto-graveminds is enough to possibly form a gravemind proper, and 007 has them in storage then perhaps Instillation 005 had something similar in storage, and their release & combination is what formed the gravemind there?
The legends says that of all the mysteries on zeta halo only one strikes fear into those that set foot there and that its name should not be spoken and its name is... Yap Yap
If 343's 10 years of content doesn't workout at least they can always fall back onto the canceled MEGA BLOCKS Halo game... It might be a kids version of halo but it does look really fun to play.
I'd like to see some of the proto-Gravemind releases happen in the multiplayer sections of the game, instead of ALL 10 being spread out over a 10 years.... seems really cheesy right? Maybe start with a small diversionary outbreak in the first 2 or 3 years, and eventually lead up to a cataclysmic security system failure and subsequent mass release of flood upon parts of the ring over the next 3 years, then use the last 4 years to finish up the reclaimer saga as to not take all 10 years to fully introduce the flood back into the story, and then quickly bottle it back up.
The Didact takes some of the powder as it is created and dissolves it in a glass of water. He then drinks it vigorously before the primordial completely disintegrates. LOL Leaving the Primordial to hear his Muhahahahahahahaha as he passed on.
Installation00 With prehistoric humanity having such diverse types of "humans" from (from Riser to Maru/the great ape), what do you think the relationship between the Brutes and humanity is?
Do you think The Lesser Ark(the one that survived tha Forerunner-Flood War,the one Halo 3 and Halo Wars 2 take place on) was equipped with a Slipspace Drive?
It has the ability to create portals as it sent the rings to their final locations, and humanity had to travel back to the ark to prevent the ark sentinels from using Earth resources to repair the ark
Hi 00. would you be able to give the falcon or mongoose the most detailed treatment please? I love those two vehicles and would like to see a most detailed breakdown on it😁
If I'm not mistaken, Joe Staten didn't last long into Destiny's development. He quit Bungie after his original cut for the game - of which concepts or ideas are now starting to return - was rejected by Bungie and/or Activision before the game launched in 2014. This caused a massive restructuring of the campaign which led to its poor quality and reception. Which makes Infinite's delay an awfully familiar situation. Infinite's delay.
Wonder what the Brutes thought of Apes when they came to Earth. If they saw any anyway. Wonder what the Covenant would’ve thought of animals like Lions, Tigers, Bears, or dinosaurs?
i think some things need to be convenient so as to accually making a games last 10 years, because 10 years of content is a huge lot if you would focus everything in 10 years near it's end that is at least a months just for the main story if not even more months i think total content wil be even for fast player about a years worth when it's all said and done. and having a protogravemind per year is accualy a smart thing because in comparison destiny's saga should have been 10 years and as of now the true premise overal was you are a being selected to protect the traveler and the ones that follow it wich for one or two games is already a lot, but for 10 years wil be to much to ask so if 343 wil do about 1 protogravemind per year then at least that wil be certain and something to accualy build off off and having that as a block thinking minecraft of story writing then you kinda simply need to just create more blocks of new meterial thus creating something to accualy keep it going in the least ammount of time Without stress that can be avoided wich in the end might make a batter game...
idk, yearly seems like it would get stale and would be too close to destiny which they said it wouldn't be like. I bet they could use them in a couple groups in larger events over the ten years. Remember, Halo 5 is 5 years old already. That means infinite only has to pull double duty on the life-cycle front if you go with before-delay numbers. Obviously now Halo 5 is going to be a 6 year title, and based on even what we see so far and the rumors of being able to explore the whole ass ring, I could easily keep myself busy for twice the time halo 5 has been out. I'm sure a lot of us could
@@schwig44 thus having block like story parts would makes it less hard to make it fun for longer but still allowing to have freedom to make either new block or to free freemind on the rest
I want to know exactly what happened to Anders after Halo Wars 2 when she was left on the ring and also ended up in the Halo 5 ending as well that's what I really want to find out about because if that Halo ring in Halo 5 it has taken place in Halo 6 and yet that's also the Halo ring Anders was on in Halo Wars 2 what happened to her

0:37 what is that sound popping? Great video other than that. Edit: I see your aware from other commebts
Can you do a video on halo infinite, and what the future of single player story looks like going forward ( after the initial campaign)?
The legends says that of all the mysteries on zeta halo only one strikes fear into those that set foot there and that its name should not be spoken and its name is...
Yap Yap
Wait
Zeta halo had big monke ?! :0 that might explain why the brutes are there too
If 343's 10 years of content doesn't workout at least they can always fall back onto the canceled MEGA BLOCKS Halo game... It might be a kids version of halo but it does look really fun to play.
Please do a video on how Johnson had immunity to flood infection
I'd like to see some of the proto-Gravemind releases happen in the multiplayer sections of the game, instead of ALL 10 being spread out over a 10 years.... seems really cheesy right? Maybe start with a small diversionary outbreak in the first 2 or 3 years, and eventually lead up to a cataclysmic security system failure and subsequent mass release of flood upon parts of the ring over the next 3 years, then use the last 4 years to finish up the reclaimer saga as to not take all 10 years to fully introduce the flood back into the story, and then quickly bottle it back up.
As someone who hasn’t touched halo 5 for 3 years now good fekn luck w your “10 year plan”
Right?
@@bmxdude1337 Given how Activision treated Destiny, which also had a multi-year plan...
The Didact takes some of the powder as it is created and dissolves it in a glass of water. He then drinks it vigorously before the primordial completely disintegrates. LOL Leaving the Primordial to hear his Muhahahahahahahaha as he passed on.
If I recall correctly, Chakas, Riser and Vennevra did eat and/or drink some food and liquids that were recycled from Flood biomass in Primordium.
Hot and spicy lore, yeah boi
I get some Ahoy vibes from you
How many games with these " 10 year plans" have actually stayed true to these " 10 year plans" fucking zero.

With prehistoric humanity having such diverse types of "humans" from (from Riser to Maru/the great ape), what do you think the relationship between the Brutes and humanity is?
Do you think The Lesser Ark(the one that survived tha Forerunner-Flood War,the one Halo 3 and Halo Wars 2 take place on) was equipped with a Slipspace Drive?
It has the ability to create portals as it sent the rings to their final locations, and humanity had to travel back to the ark to prevent the ark sentinels from using Earth resources to repair the ark
@@amdkillaplays So it might be able to move itself about the Galaxy
your mic be crackin yo
What is the music at 1:50? Is it from halo?
Hi 00. would you be able to give the falcon or mongoose the most detailed treatment please? I love those two vehicles and would like to see a most detailed breakdown on it😁
For you, anything. I'll get on it.
Maybe also the Wraith or Longsword if you didn't already do that....
@@Installation00 Cheers mate. Love your content and look forward to it 😁
Did they ever say what ever happened with the monitor from halo five and its builder world?
The Forerunners were awfully keen on hanging drawing and quartering their Ancilla weren't they?
The 8th mystery: is it pronounced Zeta or Zeetah?
British pronunciation is Zee-tah. I'm a Brit.
@@Installation00 don't you mean zed-tah? ;)
I was just joking around but now I feel like an asshole
@@overtbias9305 I get it all the time. You're not an asshole. You're EPIC!
@@cancelanime1507 Hidden Xperia is my boi, but this is Installation00. The man is epic.
Why were 4runners not cataloged for reseeding?!
What are the sections with the Primordial from? The pictures that look like they're from terminals maybe. For example, 9:22
Halo Mythos actually
I wanna know how master chief got out of the cryptum and if the other Spartans got out too
Gravemind world events sound cool but if its the same thing over its gonna get stale too fast like a holiday event in other live service games
GTA Christmas event when snow is on the map. One of the worst times in that game imo
Damn I really need to reread the Forerunner trilogy
Coming back here to see if anyone else is hunting for these mysteries now since Infinite released!
343 isn’t badass enough to let any of these happen. But I really hope they prove me wrong
10 graveminds will get boring on the second one.
Question is it around midnight where you live?
Nearly
@@Installation00 its an hour past midnight here
Where do you think the story will go knowing what we know now?
Calling it now, 343 will ignore or forget all existing lore of zeta halo and make their own shit up
Eh, they're the ones who set it up in the first place, via Greg Bear...
Last time I was this early to a video was never.
Bigfoot confirmed.
i think some things need to be convenient so as to accually making a games last 10 years, because 10 years of content is a huge lot if you would focus everything in 10 years near it's end that is at least a months just for the main story if not even more months i think total content wil be even for fast player about a years worth when it's all said and done. and having a protogravemind per year is accualy a smart thing because in comparison destiny's saga should have been 10 years and as of now the true premise overal was you are a being selected to protect the traveler and the ones that follow it wich for one or two games is already a lot, but for 10 years wil be to much to ask so if 343 wil do about 1 protogravemind per year then at least that wil be certain and something to accualy build off off and having that as a block thinking minecraft of story writing then you kinda simply need to just create more blocks of new meterial thus creating something to accualy keep it going in the least ammount of time Without stress that can be avoided wich in the end might make a batter game...
idk, yearly seems like it would get stale and would be too close to destiny which they said it wouldn't be like.
I want to know exactly what happened to Anders after Halo Wars 2 when she was left on the ring and also ended up in the Halo 5 ending as well that's what I really want to find out about because if that Halo ring in Halo 5 it has taken place in Halo 6 and yet that's also the Halo ring Anders was on in Halo Wars 2 what happened to her
This video should be updated now that infinite is out
If I dont see flood in infinite imma bug out
