Installations positioned in order is much more satisfying… but who knows, maybe the Forunners assigned their designated locations AFTER their creation?
12:03 if i remember correctly, in the book halo silentium they do actually fire the omega halo(one of the original set of 12 halos) at path kethona. so not necessarily an oversight.
just an FYI slipspace dive Only Affects the nature on slipspace entrance, and accuracy, your FTL speed is determined by the engine speed of the ship in realspace... the covenant used forerunner designed slipspace drives which makes multiple micro jumps in slipspace and with the forerunner engins geting them a FTL speed of 2000 light years per day
Fun fact: Epsilon Eridani is also where, in Star Trek, a battle took place during the siege of Vulcan, where under Admiral Salok, the 12th fleet, fought to hold the system, along side the 1st fleet under admiral Nacheyev holding the neighbouring system of Weytahn to prevent the encirclement of Andoria, a founding member of the Federation. (This isn't alpha canon btw.) That planet can't seem to get a break, no matter which universe, huh?
Awesome. Unfortunately, I am yet to find a sci-fi franchise that doesn't veer into complete implausibility when you realise where it places its colonies. In this day and age, when there are software tools like "Space Engine", where you can actually plot the positions and distances of real stars, one would think the authors would at least try to check if it makes sense, but nah, they're too busy or something.
Yeah Reach is good but it would have been better if they'd follow the books a bit more. That whole insurrection plot at the beginning annoys me when you think about the military powerhouse that Reach is.
@@thealmightysnark5878Bungie never really gave a shit about expanded content and in my opinion I agree with them. Too many chefs in the kitchen which proved correct with pretty much everything between the games and books never lining up. Books and other content were mostly handled by Microsoft and 343 before they took over the Halo IP.
I think it would be cool if you put this up on a site with links to the wiki if you wanted to no life some more , there is a Warhammer map like that and its super helpful
16:22 Okay, let me help you with that :) ['tʃodɒsɒrvɒʃ] Bunch of space Hungarians naming moons after birds and stags and ladies :D Even though I only know very little about this game (and many other stories you made videos about), I like watching these videos a lot!
Yeah, all the worst 343 employees are at the helm of hALo sTOoDiOos, and Microsoft are still contracting (no consistent team) because it saves a disgusting amount of money during taxes.
This is such an incredible video. You should be very proud of making it.
Installations positioned in order is much more satisfying… but who knows, maybe the Forunners assigned their designated locations AFTER their creation?
YES!!!!!! BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!!!
HD 181068 seems like a good candidate for the Sangheili star system, it's a trinary star system located 810 ly from Earth
good data i gona share this
make the travel of battlestar galactica (2004)
I love the inclusion of the Mass Effect music when we're looking down at the galaxy map.
You absolutely killed this, truly a great video!
Whatever mental disorder lead you to dig through 36 books for the real life locations of fictional planets is very much appreciated
This is awesome! Great job! I watched your all fiction video last night and thought. It’d be great to have a Halo only video
12:03 if i remember correctly, in the book halo silentium they do actually fire
the omega halo(one of the original set of 12 halos) at path kethona. so not necessarily an oversight.
YES FINALLY. thank you for making this video because many people wished for it
Absolutely love halo lore, and love this video for it. Thank you
Could you do the locations across the solar system in The Expanse next?
This includes the slow zone/gate network. Have fun!
I’m going to just go ahead and save this video.
28:15 the Original star near onyx is outside the Dyson sphere. I don't remember the details, but it is described in Halo: Legacy of Onyx
So weird, I referenced that same Star Trek episode today at work
Good episode
Fantastic work!
In the original Bungie lore the big reveal was going to be that the Forerunners were Humans. It should have stayed that way.
letsgoooooooo, this is gonna be a banger video I know for sure!!
Wow this video is insane, incredible job!
This is peak nerd content. I'm not even a huge Halo fan, but I'm slowly becoming one. Keep it up my guy, these videos are great!
It's been 84 years...
When ever I see that you have made a video idc what my day has been like. Its all better now.
Thanks dude. I gotta figure out a way to make them faster.
Great video, love these
Thanks for keeping the dream alive!
good... now do Battletech
all 2 million stars of it
*Evil laugh*
A rare wild hawk sighting
I would watch that video even if it's several hours long

Excellent. My body is ready.
now i want to find and visit the ring systems in elite dangerous (its world is a 1:1 recreation of our Galaxy)
This is giving me the Elite Dangerous sweats.
“Let’s be honest, you’re not reading all 36 books”
A 40k enjoyer: bet
I cannot believe a freakin Elite Sidewinder is faster than anything ONI has 😂
Do more halo stuff please
Lovely, just as your other vids
Release this to the internet
I feel like it would be hell to make a 40k version of this…
Excellent

Thanks for this video i love halo
Sad fact about Arcadia Procyon doesn't have a stable habitable zone orbit
Wow that's a lot. Sorry, I've never gotten in to Halo. But great video!

Excuse me? No good story after Chief got frozen?
What about Noble Team? :(
True. I mean like timeline wise. I’m seeing Halo in 4D… halo 3 comes after reach in my brain.
Yeah Reach is good but it would have been better if they'd follow the books a bit more. That whole insurrection plot at the beginning annoys me when you think about the military powerhouse that Reach is.

Now do the locations for Honor Harrington (by David Weber) and the Frontlines series (by Marko Kloos)
You should check out Crimson Skies!

cool video
Yessza
It should be front or back not up and down but I'm being pedantic so I'll bugger off.
13 days to Delta Halo?
I thought it took about a month?? Or was that the return trip that took a month?
warhammer 40k mapped !
what software are you using for the mapping?
i like this channel but i'd prefer it if 343 lore wasn't considered canon.

I don’t subscribe to 343s canon.
It breaks every game not made by them. OG Bungie lore is the only thing I’ll believe in.
first and Amazing content
Ghibalb.
see, i preferred the halo lore, BEFORE 343 fucked it up.
