From Argentina, disappointment but not surprise.
Congratulations and gratitude to whom we like to consider our elder brother.
Thank you, for Barry Fairy Heatlie, former Springboks captain, who emigrated to Argentina in 1910 and became part of the first Argentine national team which played against a team of British residents.
Thank you for being the first foreign national team to visit Argentina for a tour in 1932.
Thank you for sending fitness coach Izak Van Heerden in 1964 to prepare the Argentine team so they could make their first tour outside of South America.
Thank you because, during that tour in South Africa, when the Argentine team defeated the Junior Springboks, you gave our team its name by confusing the jaguar on the jersey with a puma.
Thank you for hosting so many Argentinean tours since then. Also, for welcoming the youth teams of rugby clubs and for housing them with local families.
Thank you for inviting the Pumas to the celebration match for Mandela's 90th birthday.
Thank you for inviting the Pampas XV, a developmental team, to play in the Vodacom Cup between 2010 and 2013. Agustín Creevy, for example, improved there.
Thank you for your crucial support in allowing the Jaguares to participate in Super Rugby in 2016, another very important developmental phase.
Thank you for inviting Jaguares XV, another developmental team, to play in the Currie Cup in 2019, and the U-18 team to the U-18 International Series. Joaquín Oviedo, for example, improved there.
And off course, thank you for your decisive support in allowing the Pumas to join the Rugby Championship in 2012. It has been incredibly tough for us to play against the three great Southern Hemisphere teams, but it was, and continues to be, the best school for us.
I don’t expect the honor of the world multi-champions considering us as a younger brother, but at least you should know how we see you from Argentina.

Rassie's biggest trick yet - allowing Manie Libbok the space to show his true grit at 10 and silence the doubters by giving the kicking to Hendrikse, so that Manie can focus on playmaking, which he did beautifully, cementing the South African support for him. Rassies biggest trick was to keep 9 world champs in South Africa resting and today they were fully loaded for the game! And I am sure he is preparing 2 full teams to alternate during the next World Cup which gives tremendous advantage in such a short intense championship and no many countries can do this. Unfortunately Argentina does not have yet this depth to rest some players between matches and I think 🤔 today part of the team pay the price and was a bit tired 😮. Fassie, Nortje and Sacha the finds of the season. How good is Nortje - he played every minute in this championship in that engine room, and his contribution in every match was excellent. Ox for President. How well did Pollard play when he came on - he was superb and his kicking poetry in motion. Manie's game management is exceptional, well done Manie, very exciting to watch!! PSTD must be a candidate for world player of the year 2024. Master! Marx was a monster tonight, so was Wiese. Well done to Elizabethi, you are the GOAT. Well led by our Captain, inspirational soul. Tough to name and single out individuals, the entire squad deserves credit for the way they go about things. Rassie is our hero, thank you to him and all our coaches - we love your work. Love Sasha he's a great prospect for the future but right now Manie is the bok's best and most potent attacking 10 and arguably the best attacking 10 in the world. Rassie hit the nail on the head with the Manie and Hendricks pairing, real-tempo players, and a combo that will leave most teams shaking in their boots. Well done Eben, well one boks

Perhaps there’s a world where he completely gets the kicking pressure taken off of him and he can just concentrate on his offensive and defensive game. He must feel such a sense of pride and connection to the Boks now, like he’s really part of the team.
Fassi was deliberate and brave, definitely keen to see how him and Willemse line up in the future. A really impressive whole team effort.

7 points left on the table because he can't kick, and can't develop that skill.
He kicked away 100% ball to make it 50/50 contestable ball almost every time.
      He threw forward passes.
      He threw hospital passes.
He kick passed opportunities into the crowd instead of his wings.
Sure a few came off, but even a broken clock is right twice a day.
      He's NOT Bok standards.
As soon as he went off and Pollard came on, the points started to flow, because suddenly every ball to flyhalf wasn't being kick passed away hoping for the best.

His performance at the RWC in the semi against England is a perfect example. What a player

It is quite scary, the Boks are now playing with brute force and physicality that they have always had. But they are also now playing expansive rugby and have flair to their game, able to go coast to coast from a kick-off and they are also able to use the full width of the pitch. They are playing the attacking game that the 2011-2015 All Blacks played with double the physicality and better defence than the All Blacks had. On top of that, they now have a squad of around 60 players, meaning they have at least three players in every position that can slot in at any time and do a solid job. The 2011-2015 All Blacks never had a squad of this magnitude. This truly is the greatest international side ever. (2 Rugby Championships, 2 Rugby World Cups and a Lions Series in the past 5 years) . And one would have to say the Boks are now slowing down. What a sight it would be, Siya lifting another Rugby World Cup at the close of the 2027 World Cup at the Suncorp Stadium,

Aphelele Fassi's stocks have risen quite substantially after this game. Willemse will need to fight for that jersey 15 jersey back.

I agree on his stock rising however he needs to control the rush of blood to the head sometimes. Does one amazing thing only to fluff his lines a second later. I guess it'll come with more experience and his coaches and teammates having a whisper in his ear....

Damien Willemse is going to have to make sure he's on his best game consistently. That Fassi and Libbok combo was absolutely deadly today. Well done to Los Pumas 🇦🇷 ! 'N Bok is 'n Bliksem!🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦

To be honest, Fassi and Libbok played together at the Sharks for a short time, Jayden included. But Fassi read Manie better than Willemse that plays with Manie regularly, y? Because Damian is individualistic while Manie and Fassi is team orientated.

Yoh yoh yoh yoh, morning Tim, what a brilliant game, thank you to our braai brothers Argentina for bringing on to massive tests, my takes, the boks as a whole were awesome, pollard and am were just sublime off the bench, Eben, psdt and ox were awesome. As for the pumas, I cannot wait to see them climbing into the top 4 soon
