❤Hi Tim. I am a rugby coach as well as a school teacher. I'm located in Capetown. My rugby under 17 won the Vuka league this year. My under 19 team made it to the semi final. We have a lot of challenges in our community and at school. So many boys wants to play rugby but can't because of the challenge they face. Our school does not have any money for transport or rugby gear or anything rugby related. We have a big open space but no rugby field. We were practing in a little space this year but still didn't stop us. We had no gear but it did not stop us. Our guys can't come to practice because of shooting and gang violence in our community but still it did not stop us. Not all educators at school love the sport or want to help our youth. I'm trying everything I can to keep this boys driven and going and giving them hope that there is a better life out there. It's getting too much for me to carry this burden alone.
I kindly ask for any assistance or even just to come and talk to my boys when you in Cape town again.
If you know anyone who can help us to atleast get gear or balls or any rugby equipment I will be so happy and thankful. ❤
Please get back to me ❤

That is the 'x factor' that people do not get to see or understand completely. In South Africa we solve problems by getting involved, working hard, working together. Waiting for government to help is just not an option. We love you Tim and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for what you do for us as a country.

They didn't show you the true nature of how those girls train, as I saw they were still wearing their school shoes at the training field. We don't do that in the townships,we play or practice barefoot, and team kits we only see on game day. Where one person that's not playing assist the one that's playing with his/her footwear for the game day. It's way deeper than this. Thank you for sharing your experience. Working in the travel industry I have had the pleasure of visiting Grootbos a couple of times and it truly is an amazing property, but what makes them amazing is all they do. I certainly hope you got to meet the owner Michael who I am proud to call a friend as he is a character himself with a giant heart of gold. I could not be more proudly South African and every time I watch your videos it makes my heart smile to know that the continent and her people have transformed yet another person. There is something about South Africa that just really creeps into one's soul and never leaves. My fellow countrymen truly are some of the most wonderful people and I am thrilled you got to experience it. It is also incredible to know that you also now know what we know (yes the translation from Dricus) and are sharing it with the world. Hi Tim, as a South African, thank you for the covering. What a pleasure to watch. I want to agree with a fellow South African said earlier, if England should win the game tomorrow, it will bring me joy to see you happy, but may they best team win💪👏👏

    You know Tim,
Eggchasers is the only channel I have subscribed to and the reasons are listed below.
As a Saffer who has been living in the UK for 4 years now; I find it hard to articulate the spirit of a South African to Brits and other global people I meet.
Some find us to be arrogant, to direct or even overly driven to do well and succeed.
You have a clear understaning of our culture, passion, desperation, focus and dedermination that drives us as a people.
With all humility, we try to share the spirit of ubuntu/gees with people globally.
Seeing you in tears today made me cry and reinforced the sacrifices of immigrating; keeping that fire alive that all Saffers have (Including you)!
You are a legend pal and I wish you, yours and your channel well!

Thank for not only focusing on the beautiful side of South Africa, and Srpringbok success, but a side of South Africa that so many of us are use to. Reality also that so many current Springboks and up-and-coming stars, come from exactly what you are sharing here.

Somewhere tonight, there is someone watching this video, sobbing just like me, who's life will be forever changed. We have no idea how heartfelt words can perpetuate dreams, goals and visions. You may just have given hope to the next Rassie, the next Siya, the next Bongi. May this message resonate throughout space and time. A heartfelt thanks for touching souls through your touched soul....

Thank you Tim for sharing this South African contrast. As you experienced and as you feel right now, that’s just how contradictory it is to live in South Africa. I’m one of those I believe many people who draw hope and inspiration from rugby as contradictory as it is on its own.
