I tried making this sweater. I am suggesting that people who attempt to use these instructions use a row counter rather than a cm tape measure or you will get uneven lengths between the left side and the right side of the garment.

    • @evelinkiss849
      @evelinkiss849 4 года назад +16

Rebecca Simmons I counted the rows when I made the first side, while I was measuring too, than wrote it down and did the exact same thing on the other side :)

Idea for folks without the right sized loom that don't want to buy one. make a cardboard circle with a 19 cm diameter and insert 31 cocktail sticks or straws to replace pegs. That way you get another fun and random craft!

SabineViolin I used the same pattern it in the video. I used one of my sweater to measure my width but it didn't work out as it should. So I would advice to do your own measurement on yourself or use a very tight sweater.I added the two inches in the beginning but then it was too big so I took it out.I like my clothes to fit :). Hope this helps!

I'm only halfway through my third time in a row, not counting the time I watched it in german because I couldn't find the german version of "Fight fighters" so technically I didn't watch the whole show that time.

I just finished attempting your lovely sweater on a loom. My W=62. The neckline was so large, it fell off my shoulders on both sides. The sleeves were also too tight. The length was fine. Disappointing. I used yarn from Aldi and doubled the strands to make it more bulky like the yarn you used. Oh well. You are very creative and I hope this craft works for others.

Trying a 36 peg loom for plus size upper arms; now I am afraid the cuffs are going to be huge! Is there a way to knit in the round casting on the 31 peg loom and after the first few inches start transferring to a larger loom and increasing stitches till the larger loom is filled? Or should I do my cuffs flat and cast on to increase till I have the larger loom full and knitting only the fuller part of the arm in the round, and make seams in the cuffs?

    • @Tuteate

Hi Barbara! Here you'll see cuffs made with a 36-peg loom: ruclips.net/video/7jVy-HWhybA/видео.html If you think they are too big, then I would do the second option you mention (I think it will be easier than the first one).

Thank you so much for sharing your tutorials. This is brilliant. I was hoping you or someone here in the comments could help a beginner out. I have made hats, slippers, cowls, scarves, teddy bears, headbands, but never a sweater. So, I was just wondering, I am using a bigger round loom for a larger sized sweater, am I right in thinking that I do not need more rows? Rows are just for length of a project, right? And the amount of pegs used are for width? or have I got this wrong? Any response or help from anyone would be really appreciated... again, thank you so much for your design and instruction to follow, absolutely lovely

Hi there I'm in process of following the pattern of the sweater. I've getting confused about making the flat panel between the 16 and 17 peg. It feel like a step in missing. Do you have a printable version of this pattern?

This would be fine if it wasn't for the measures. I'm having a bit of a problem with that. Also, could you do a tutorial on striped sweaters? I don't wanna make one and then have the stripes in different places and wrong measures.

I've been following your channel Tuteate.
    Thank you.
Please could you explain how to do this on an even peg?(Mine is 66peg)
    Will there be any changes?
Because the pegs when divided in two becomes 33. So, I'm trying to work this and at the sleeve part. It'll be of great help if you could let me know. Thanks

Mrs. B. hi! Thank you :) Maybe you could use the 36 peg loom. We haven't tried that, but I think it should work. Please let us know if you try it, ok?

First of all, thank you so much for your videos! Very wonderful. You taught me how to do a sock. Now....for this video, I want to try it but don't have that loom. I have all the other KK looms. Which one would be best and how would I alter the pattern?? Tia

I love making stuff on my loom. Your tutorials are very easy to follow and I do plan on making this sweater. Question, I'm a petite adult and I am wondering what size loom would I need to use? Or how would I be able to determine what size loom I need to use?
Also I have some ideas for stuff to make on the loom, I'd love to learn how to make a purse, wallet, skirt, and a dress. It would be awesome if you could make tutorials on any of those. :)
Well, thanks for making this video!

Zildah Zorro hi! You will see we work this project in horizontal direction (from one sleeve to the other) so you could use the same loom and adapt the width to your needs (we use a sweater we already have as a reference). A smaller size loom would be the 24 peg loom, but we usually use this loom for gloves and mittens...
