I was so excited when I saw this piece right at the back of the Goodwill shelf. I recognized it immediately and quickly checked it over for chips and cracks. It was in perfect condition.... you're not going to believe how much its worth!... lets go thrifting and find out what it is.

Legend of the Pickle
(German Holiday Tradition)
To start a tradition that will surely last, here's a short story about a pickle of glass.
The night before Christmas it's hung on the tree, while everyone's sleeping it's done secretly.
And on Christmas morning when you arise, the first one to find it gets a surprise.
A family tradition for all to share, you'll look for the pickle year after year.
(The pickle is good luck, the person who finds it can receive a special blessing that lasts for the year &/or get the first present from under the tree. This tradition encourages children to appreciate all the beautiful ornaments on the tree, rather than rushing to see what Santa has left for them. )
Loved the Troll decoration. I still have my original Danish Dam made trolls from the 60's in a display case. They are at the most 60 years old.

I have the exact same crystal ornament that you picked up (42:15 mark) It is actually our favorite Christmas decoration. You are having so much fun! I think Baby Jesus is the most missing piece out of a Nativity set. I think he must have learned to walk very early. 🙂
I was thinking some of those missing were in those ornament bags.

Tiffany you are usually quite happy to go thrifting; but this time OMG you just had to express so much enthusiasm!! The shelves were really stocked with Christmas, and it kept coming. Those Hallmark Frosty Friends ornaments are worth ALOT! The Eskimos. If they are still there, grab them. Especially the oldest one in the box with the see thru cover.
Yes, I spotted them, too. That hurt. That reminds me I should run some Hallmark lists and refresh my memory about what is selling before I go out thrifting this season.
I was yelling at my phone! That 1982 Frosty Friends in box - such a fantastic find. But, then, I wouldn't have known anything about those hands, so 🤷🏼♀️!

Perhaps in the future when you go to salvation army or Goodwill or any of the other stores go over to the section that has blankets and towels and put one in your card before you get the glassware

A tip from an Ohio thrifter....take a UV flashlight with you to test the "glow" of the glass on the spot!! Saves a lot of heartache after the purchase! Love your channel and all the tips you give!!

I use white tile grout to fill in chips which can be touched up, painted and sealed. Or white clay. Stunning haul, so much fun. I love Christmas, it is my favorite time of year to decorate. Your glass Xmas tree forest is so pretty. You did well Tiffany, enjoy. 🎄🎄🎄💕

Your comment about using candle holders for other things hit home with me. I have an assortment of those bottle brush Christmas trees but they do not stand up well as they tend to be top heavy. I found their bases fit nicely in some of my votive holders. They look so cute in their decorative glass tree holders

Some people just soak the item in warm water for a little bit to get the sticker off. I personally use a hair dryer to heat up the adhesive & take it off that way. Goo Gone also works:) Hope this helps!

Because my kiddos are 39 & 41 It makes me smile thinking of Dagmar she never had children of her own. Please look for a product called UNDU. It is an archivally safe adhesive neutralizer. They used to advertise by removing duct tape from toilet paper. It will remove that tape from fragile and even paper surfaces. Find it where you buy adhesive in the hardware store or online.
