This might be the best set list I've ever seen of them recorded. It's hard to find a fault. There's a few I'd change but nothing is here that shouldn't be. They went full hard rock on this.
I disagree that the lyrics were “dumb” so to speak. Just very angry and simplistic. Starting with Faceless, some of the lyrics actually revealed a poetic side.
This was just before Faceless... right after Awake! This has to be some of their best footage I've ever seen. This footage of Sully's voice is exactly why I fell in love with Godsmack! Thank you!!!
The "Faceless" era, their peak, by far. They still had that dark edge to them, but with more interesting lyrics. Plus, it was the first record with Shannon, who is a beast (even though I liked Tommy Stewart as well). They changed their sound when they released "IV" and Sully was not as angry as before lol (I miss angry Sully!). "IV" was more hard rock oriented. They came back to their roots a bit when they released "The Oracle", and that was around the time I lost some interest in them. Years later, first time I heard "Bulletproof", I thought it was a very predictable song and it just felt... Weird. Like a song you would not expect Godsmack to perform (and not in the good sense). Still, good to see them still around, as much as Sully won't play songs like "Sick of life" anymore.
at some point during or after I Stand Alone, I don't think they could hear Sully anymore. The sound started to clip the recording. He said Metallica and they were like meh.....yeh, no.....I don't think they understood him anymore.
this is one of the thing that sedentary lifestyles and cell phones have ruined. People are too lazy and too consumed with sharing their half ass moments with other people who could care less.
Best Godsmack setlist ever
100%
The only thing stopping this from making this the best version of Sully is the haircut lol.
A time when I stand alone wasn't the last song in their live !
@Алексей Нестеров I was just thinking the same thing. That's how great this set list was.
0:00 Time Bomb
4:12 Bad Religion
7:33 Bad Magick
12:36 Sick of Life
16:27 Greed
20:26 Moon Baby
27:00 Awake
32:10 Mistakes
37:49 Straight Out of Line
42:50 I Stand Alone
47:40 Keep Away
55:52 Voodoo
1:02:00 Sweet Leaf (Black Sabbath cover)
1:06:24 Whatever
If we ever go to war again or start a riot somewhere, I want Sully to sing us into it.
second chorus of moonbaby....goosebumps
I love that that they opened with Timebomb.
I gotta say no matter what they're recorded on they always manage to always sound excellent 🙂
Saw them on 9/14/2011. Was one of the best shows I’ve seen

In the description the unknown song is a Black Sabbath cover, Sweet Leaf...
This is amazing
It's hard to find a live version of Sweet Leaf...Thank you!!!
I came here just for this song!
I love early Godsmack
Awesome, thank u for posting. Badass!!!!!😎
Awesome, thank you for posting badass Post-grunge band concert!!!
Thanks a lot!!
I love Robbi at 113 in...he's not totally buying it till the response from the crowd...then he's like ok yep....lets go!
This is gold!
Thanx for a video From Moscow man! Stay Safe!
Man...why did they became so soft? why did they left this sound?
Theyre getting old pushing 50s prol lol
@@jakecope7562 their awake and faceless rra seriously kicked some ass...but that's just life i guess
Nothing stays the same. Though, surprisingly i dig a new stuff as well
im pretty sure even godsmack themselves said they're getting too old to write angry music lmao which makes sense
Their lyrics may have been a bit dumb, but I really liked Godsmack around this time. 'Greed' is still killer.

Ahh....The Faceless era. It was great wasn't it (the last good era in my opinion).
If I'm not mistaken i think this show was before Faceless dropped. All they had out from it was Straight Out Of Line.
Still think 1997-2004 were their best years
IV was a great record, The Oracle & 10000HP are their weakest albums, and Sully's lyricism aside Legends is a banger!
agreed!! since these days there albums are weak lame and predictable.theyve lost there harder darker edge.
This was just before Faceless... right after Awake! This has to be some of their best footage I've ever seen. This footage of Sully's voice is exactly why I fell in love with Godsmack! Thank you!!!
Best of best
Holy shit I was there!!
Despite all the bullshit. This band is killer.
Rockin
man, I hate this haircut...but the chemistry between Sully and the crowd here is so much better than that concert dvd.
Fuckin love Godsmack

My favorite era. Sick of my life is one of the best album starters ever
even that security guard at 16:13 was feeling himself.

39 minutes point, holy hotness😘
the GOAT....even with his stupid haircut...
