TTS 400hp supercharged Hayabusa - first test on an airfield!!
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 31 янв 2022
- Our Gen 2 Hayabusa supercharger package is in the final stages of development. In this video, we run the bike on the dyno, before taking it to an airfield for its first proper shakedown.
We learned some valuable info from the limited runs we were able to complete (due to some annoying planes taking off and landing!) and we'll be using this data to refine the map, as well as making some additional mods to the bike.
Once that's all done, we'll be back to the airfield to see what times this 400hp beast can really do!

401hp with 190 ft lbs of torque! Incredible gains
190
@@TTSPerformance corrected to 190! That’s insane!
And that's at wheel 🔥
Thank you for the left hand gen 1&2 kit. I'm so pleased that you heard us last year.
Stretch it, and send it to Carwow for "testing" ;)
It might happen we have some plans
@@TTSPerformance awesome, looking forward to it!
Great idea 👌🏻
@@TTSPerformance let me ride it if you’re designated rider doesn’t beat whatever Matt lines up, unless you’ve got near on 2000hp GTR this should beat anything, in capable hands.
@@TTSPerformance against Rimac Nevera...
Now that's what I've been looking for. Thanks RUclips for this channel I'm all tuned in fam 👍👍
imagine if SUZUKI launched the same BUSA with company fitted supercharger to compete against H2🤯🤯
They just have!
Then Kawasaki will respond with a 1500cc supercharge 15r lol
This is not gonna happen because H2 227 bhp and superbusa 370 bhp company can't make bikes more than 300 bhp it is illegal supercharger can be fitted after buying it and sending to tts
@@pratikgujarkar4290 that's a valid point bro but what if they launch it with a 250-270hp engine in a limited numbers🤔
@@nishantsabharwal3979 it is possible if they it like H2
Beautiful piece of kit Richard. Not for the faint hearted by the looks of it
Impressive stuff mate, would like to see this machine on an all out blast straight road.Might be just the thing to take me back to 1970s-pure time warp engineering that has to be admired.
Very impressive, great work 👏
Thankyou sir for revival of all time LEGEND of motorbike s ♨️
Legend always a legend... Salute Busa
From a man who can build an engine and knows what he is doing 🙂🤣☺️ from northern Ireland great video ☘️😃😃☘️😃😃
😃👍
And I thought I wanted a 'Busa, before... This is my bucket list lol
Awesome bike man I’m building up a 1996 gsxr 750 srad
Richard this is a great video thank you for the post. Can I just add that with such a great product, a lot of us would like to see video shots from different angles, side, start, midway and one on instruments cut into the same video. Yes a lot of work, but goes along with a great bike to help your audience and future customers understand just what you are getting for the investment. But again, you do great videos and I would love to light the track up with that over here. 2022 is going to be a big track year for us, visiting many tracks and advertising at each. A great January 2022 post :)
We had a GoPro on my helmet. You can see it early in the video. But the battery died very early on. We were gutted. But did the best we could. We also had the dragy app. Giving times and speeds. But I need to prep the bike for good results. Wheel base is to short. We are going out again soon. The day after the shoot I went to hospital for a shoulder operation. That’s why there aren’t any wheelies my shoulders are shot. The op went well so I ll be back out soon. I am also revising the secondary throttle maps to be much more progressive.
@@TTSPerformance Can't wait to see more on this. Keep up the great posts, appreciated. And take care of the shoulders :) Your talks and hands on in the videos are really helpful.
@@hardridermotorcycle will do.
Wow one day I'd like to launch a beast like this
All that torque may as well start off in top gear and let it rip....so if your customer asks you for another upgrade just tell him/her F16....fabulous engineering....
Since the Busa was born Ive hated that swoopy down curved camel hump behind the seat. That look even kept me from purchasing a good deal back in 2014, wich now I regret. But there is no denying the performance of this incredible machine and what it's capable of before and certainly after modification. Can't wait to see what comes next for this very special rocketship! Congrats on your success, your hard work is definitely paying off! It would be nice to see a list of current and future mods as you make them and some comments about the results. Amazing stuff guys thanks for sharing!
Gen 3 doesn’t have a camel hump. Buy one🤪. I have a load of stuff going on our development bike.
@@TTSPerformance It is definitely improved and tons of aftermarket out there to change it but Zuki rumored big design changes for gen 3 so I expected more of a departure from the past. They have adopted that tail as kind of a signature of the Busa so it looks like sum version of it is here to stay. It's a petty personal preference tweak thats easy to fix and in no way effects the performance of one of the most impressive machines on the road. I've wanted to add a Busa to my stable for years now and you will know when I decide to because I will order your supercharger kit when I do! 🕺💪😎🔥💨 Those numbers and that Dyno Power curve is very sexy!
@@whitetailjedi I look forward to it.
Can't wait until I'm older so I can install a supercharger on my own bike💖
Winsome 🤟🏾😱😁🔥🔥🔥
Awsome
Rotrex power!!🙃
The Plaid has met its match😂
Fabulous ! Did you need to fit different clutch plates, or at least heavier springs ? The bike's a new 'un but over time with normal wear, would it be a good idea to do so ?
Stronger springs. Very durable on the street.
Nice I want me tl1000s doing pls Free lol need more power fantastic work your doing nice job
Would love to see you guys do your work on a gen 2/3 1290r superduke or super adventure if you're really mad
No room.
Fiabilidad de la moto con turbo????
Busa's power was not so impressive, but now we're talking👍🏼
Gen3 kit coming.
@@TTSPerformance good golly
What quick shifter are you running I have damaged my gearbox on Gen2 already also know of a couple more that have done the same? Any info would be appreciated
I’ll find out.

Nice setup,Richard! What was behind idea mount the charger on a left side? You say, 3 temp. sensore was used(1 before,1 after charger, and 1 after intercooler,i think),if not a secret, share some temperature numbers please.18 psi on e85(i think) and on 97 fuel what was the max psi?
The long charged pipe between charger and intercooler make some problem?(i mean, build pressure later,or so?) You must or powder coat it,or use heat tape..
The old, simple, but working air to air intercooler under gastank method work in real life wery good!
Fitting the left side makes installation very simple over any other way. it also has no ground clearance implications. additionally the airfilter is protected from the elements so it's an all weather set up. The temp sensor at the engine intake failed. this was the most important to me so we will test again. What was good was the air temp behind the engine block where the filter sits ran below 30 deg C all the time and generally below 20 deg C. The intake to the supercharger reached 60 deg C but would go higher on prolonged acceleration. We run the same boost on pump petrol as E85 but pull the ignition timing back to stop det, this gave us 375 whp.
You say long charge pipe? It is not very long compared to most applications especially cars. To see 18psi at the engine says the losses are quite good. but we are building a new ic that will flow 22% more and testing again. We are not trying to stop heat radiating from the pipes and ic so wrapping in foil will only hold the heat in, this is a bad idea. I think our solution is pretty good with the left fairing duct forcing air through the IC and the right duct flowing air over the top of the engine which I am sure is helping keep the air intake temps down. The temp transient response on the ic is very fast. Thank you for your input as usual :)
@@TTSPerformance Thank You for the informative answear! Im wait for the bigger ic. setup, and result. Make a video vith data, like befor ic,after ic temp, with new ic,please. Now everybody use the air to water intercooler..alot pipe, pumt, radiator mount problem(small place under fairings..).Its a good compaison, how efficient the air to air ic. in the real life..
I have seen setup like Yours, with two fan on the top of the ic.+ rpm or speed switch.Below setted rpm,or speed, the fans goes on,and when You stop in the trafic, the fans work, and keep the temp in the low range..
Any chance for same kit on a 2003 gen1?? Been contemplating a turbo but this may change my mind.... Very nice setup.
Just email richard@tts-performance.co.uk. We are making the same design for Gen 1-2 and 3
Looking fantastic. Will I be able to run a road bike / tune with the tank sat flat?
You can but just lifting the tank a little helps the intercooler breathe.
@@TTSPerformance I'll get a second tank and modify it so it sits level but has a great big air intake in front, keep it trying to look stock 👍🏻
Can you give me a rough idea of cost for supercharger installation on my 2007 Hayabusa. Thank you.
The kit will be £3600 gb pounds. Engine out top end rebuild with spacer and fit kit and Dyno set up £2000
G'day Richard. Is the bike running stock compression ratio?
we are running a 2mm spacer but no base gasket so a difference of 1.8mm, this gives us 9.73:1 compression using standard pistons.
Not sure I could cope with the full 400 bhp but I’m tempted, 2 questions :-
Is there anyone insuring these kind of specials?
And have you managed to crack the E.C.U. Or are you running a bespoke unit like motec or similar?..
P.s. vid’s like this make me weep at the prospect of the demise of the internal combustion engine…🙃
BIKEsure we’re really good on specials. They would be my first call. I remap the factory ecu.
What was the top speed
KTM RC / duke 390 Rotrex kit?
are there any decent quality aftermaket anti wheel spin ?
Not cheap
visited your web page to gather info..it won't let me look at supercharger or purchase...says "page not found"
We are working on a new purchase site. It will be a few weeks so if you want to buy or have more questions please email me on richard@tts-performance.co.uk

Any kits for a gen1 or gen2 zx14 ???
sorry not at this time.
Any chance the rock music soundtrack could go then we could hear the bike properly when it's doing it's run.

I can’t believe how lean y’all tune these. 12.5 on our fuel in the USA would melt everything. What are the post intercooler temps?
It’s not a turbo. Head temps and exhaust temps are lower as there isn’t the back pressure
Goal is 12.0:1
I will let you know tomorrow. Road testing with sensors.
great work and beautiful bike...whats your expected top speed?
Gearing limited to 220mph
So when does it get active aero?
15 years
what other modifications has the engine had
Forged rods pistons stronger head studs
Dear lord thought it was 350 now its 400 ?! 🤣
Now add a turbo too
Wouldn’t want to spoil it🤪
how much is the supercharger have set up

£3600 gb pounds
@@TTSPerformance And should make 400hp on pump gas?
@@dqc.sausages depends on the gas. I will sell this as a 350plus whp kit.
@@TTSPerformance Sounds good. From stock internals, other than your kit, what else is not included that would be needed?
@@dqc.sausages Woolich racing software to reflash. Barrel has 2mm spacer to lower the comp and ARP Head studs and nuts. Cometic head gasket.

Since E10 is the normal fuel in most stations now, do tune for a richer afr compared to when E5 was the norm?
No we retard the ignition timing slightly at the top end.
Thats 300kw on the rear wheel. Buy and fit rear tyres in 6 packs

@@TTSPerformance oh wow thats interesting
What is the Top speed of this beast?
Geared for 210mph
@@TTSPerformance ohhh, for 400 hp motorcycle 210 mph is not that great speed. I think ( just my guessing) it can do 230 mph with taller gearing.

@@TTSPerformance ohhh ok. Thanks for replying 👍
@@wanderer54796 400 hp at whell on busa aerodynamic is enough for hit almost 260 mph at perfect gearing in standarised condition cos it have 0,300 drag resist what mean 150 hp at whell for gps 300 km/h so 300 x( 400:150)”1/3= 415 km/h so 260 mph 👍🏻

But he used Windows XP
400hp hypercharged
😅
The stupid music over the engine sound....very bad.
This is all amazing but completely useless on the road racing someone unless you have an extended swing arm, my H2 has 317 HP and its terrible trying to power the thing low in the gears.
That’s next. Testing again tomorrow
Could do without the music
Agreed 👍
Are u kidding me that’s 400hp????mine got 193 at rear wheel and it’s more aggressive!
Of course it is 😂
What a low quality job on the Gen II. All the external belts and gear looks like a bitza to me - very unprofessional. After seeing the high quality Kawasaki H2 with it’s beautifully and finished look in comparison its chalk and cheese! As a gen II Busa owner i was horrified at this attempt (you’d never touch my bike)
I would always go with the new Gen III - lovely, refined, reliable and fully finished Hayabusa, the way it should be not this crappy Frankenstein. 👎
All the belts? There is one belt and the production kit has a beautiful cnc’d guard. The reason for leaving it open while we are testing is to check belt wear and any other potential issues.
@@TTSPerformance let the birds chirp they cant afford your kit anyways. Id be ordering one if my busa didnt already have a turbo equipped.
Yawnnnn... yawning again. Totally useless power for the street. Good entry for a Formula USA bike entry back in the day when Chuck Graves used to cherry pick Willow. BTW...I know a Busa engine that pumps out 900 hp on turbo NOS. Supercharging is for V8. Nuff said.
And I know a Busa engine that pumps out a1000hp nananna 🤪. 400 totally useable power for the street, just needs gearing up and throttle maps taming. Watch this space.
