  • An introduction to DC block wiring, the classic system that allows the operation of multiple trains on a single track without DCC, a purely DC system of routing power from two power packs.
This system has been used on model train railroads large and small for almost 100 years. While it's mostly fallen into disuse with the advent of digital DCC systems, many still use it as it does not require the installation of expensive DCC modules in locomotives or expensive DCC controllers.
While this system can be used in conjunction with DCC, that's a bit tricky. But we will look at that in a few weeks.

Well done as usual! Block wiring can be fun, but also frustrating if you forget to throw those toggles. That's why the person or people who invented DCC deserved huge pay raises! But they also created their own set of problems. It's all fun, anyway. I enjoy most of your well shot and edited videos. The only ones I don't watch are about garden trains, so your work is actually 100% perfect to me. I hope you guys are healthy and happy. 😁

Confused but luckily have people in the train club I am that know how to do this so can get help if I do anything like this. I do what to learn more about wiring and this is helpful.
    GOD BLESS 🚂💕🚂💕🚂💕🚂💕

Maybe use AC and signal to the trains using 455kHz like the old intercoms that would plug into the house plugs.

I wish you could have mentioned Atlas selector components.... if I didn't already know about those, I WOULD have been confused. 😅

I run everything in DC, find it more interactive and hands on, SORRY but anyone can sit in a chair and run with a phone or DCC controller. Remember its your railroad and run it the way YOUR comfortable,

Thanks!! I get that. I’ve met so many people who do the same!
