    Hey Roman, thanks for your videos. You mentioned that you would order the qodiaq again but with less extras. Which ones would you choose again and which ones you would not? Also which model?

      Hi Victor Castano! I will give you the answer on the Facebook group ;)

    Fuel consumption?

    • @RomanVerhovsek
      @RomanVerhovsek  7 лет назад +1

      Around 7-7.3 l/100 km when driving 130 km/h on the highway. In sport mood you can easily have 8+ l/100 km. On normal roads out of town my record is 6.2 l/100 km. I am going to make a short video regarding consumption, eco mode and about coasting.

    Roman?
    In SLOVENIA, Kodiaq Style as standard equipment has "Front assist" and city braking up to 30 km/h. What about "AEB-City", "Inter-Urban"..... braking (like from following video ruclips.net/video/LKLvAsTV69E/видео.html )?

    • @RomanVerhovsek
      @RomanVerhovsek  6 лет назад +1

      My Kodiaq stopped twice on the highway driving around 80 km/h avoiding the crash. Once it was just faster then me because I was already in the process of braking, the other time I was already gently braking but the bear pressed the brake pedal so it just dropped down. In both cases the car was braking to full stop.

      Maybe I'll by car in Slovenia... and ask you for some advice-assistance when choosing equipment?

    • @RomanVerhovsek
      @RomanVerhovsek  6 лет назад +1

      Still The traffic jam assist must be ordered separately for around 350 eur.

    Can you do a test for cabin noise in the Kodiaq using a Decibel meter on the motorway? I like watching your reviews on the Kodiaq. Great work.

      I will try to find a real db meter. The ones that run as apps in the smartphones can't measure properly but they are great if comparing different cars with the same app/smartphone. In my case, I won't be comparing.

    Could you say some more details about 'skoda services' and 'skoda connect'? Is it a one time purchase or a subscription? Is it worth it in your opinion- now (video is now 6 months old).

    • @RomanVerhovsek
      @RomanVerhovsek  6 лет назад

      Skoda Connect is divided into three group of services:
      1. Emergency Call (free for first 13 years) - uses internal SIM
      2. Care Connect (free for first year, annual subscription - still waiting for pricing) - uses internal SIM
      3. Infotainment Online (free for first year, annual subscription - still waiting for pricing) - needs external SIM or smartphone
      Care Connect is not so much useful. I stopped using Skoda Connect mobile app so often. I don't care much about consumption. Area notification is probably the only interesting functionality. I am probably not going to pay for that subscription. But infotainment online/maps are a different story and I really LOVE online traffic info.

      Tnx. I must check if live traffic coverage exists here.

    Do you think it is possible to add the Traffic Jam Assist at later stage just through the software update?

    • @RomanVerhovsek
      @RomanVerhovsek  7 лет назад +1

      A friend of mine that has Kodiaq MY17 was servicing his bear today (15,000 km) and his Kodiaq was not able to upgrade - just for info: he has an 8" Columbus.
      On the other hand I have a colleague forumer with MY18 and he is now a proud user of the traffic jam assist that was upgraded later, one month after delivery.
      In 3-4 months I will have my own 15,000 km service. I will tell you then what happened. There are many few happy owners in EU that received TJA, days and weeks after the delivery.

    • @CZWhitek
      @CZWhitek 7 лет назад

      Thank you Roman for sharing experience and please let us know how you got on with your upgrade. Do you know what exactly the TJA brings in addition to the ACC? My expectation is that the driver just sits and watch the car moving up to a certain speed without having to touch any pedals and steering wheel...but not too sure.

    • @RomanVerhovsek

      VW defintion: ''Traffic Jam Assist uses proven functions such as ACC adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning to allow easy slow driving in traffic jams. Your car will follow the vehicle ahead and automatically operate the accelerator and brakes within the limits of the system so the vehicle is kept in lane.''
      Audi definition: 'Another function of the ACC, the traffic-jam assist, can take over steering at speeds of up to 65 km/h (40.4 mph) on well-developed roads when traffic is congested. The system uses the radar and ultrasound sensors as well as the front camera, guiding the car by gently adjusting the steering and following the traffic ahead within system limits. In doing so, the traffic-jam assist uses the lane markings and other vehicles on the road for orientation.'

    • @RomanVerhovsek
      @RomanVerhovsek  5 лет назад +1

      You unlock the door with another key and when turning the engine on you change the profile using the controls on your steering wheel. Car will memorize the other key and the profile.
