      Hi @ChiefSweetsUniverse
      Thank you for an EXCELLENT introductory bearded dragon care guide video!
      I’m setting up a habitat and look forward to getting my first bearded dragon.
      (I’ve previously had a yellow rat snake, an iguana, and an alligator snapping turtle, as pets).
      This is GREAT info, concise, and well delivered!
      I’ve subscribed to your channel, downloaded this video (and several of your other videos), and have watched this one at least three times!
      Thanks again!

    Question: you said you can use Ceramic Heat Emitters for the basking spot, but halogen bulbs are better. Why are they better? If I have a tube T5 Arcadia bulb and proper light for the rest of the tank, what makes the halogen bulb superior to a CHE? I’m genuinely curious. I had a CHE for my last beardie, with the proper T5 Arcadia bulb. Now I’m looking to set up a tank for a new beardie and I’m genuinely curious about this. I’ve been watching a ton of beardie care videos and reading a lot of articles but nobody really says why one is better than the other. Thanks so much for your videos, I can tell you have a lot of experience, your videos have been extremely helpful :)

    • @ChiefSweetsUniverse
      @ChiefSweetsUniverse  Год назад +2

      I got you! So halogen is better because it provides IRA and IRB which is infared spectrum heat sources. These sources are very efficient in absorption and deep penetrating subculonecus tissue. Deep heat projectors are IRC which are not very good at penetrating deep tissue and don’t replicate sunlight like halogens do.
