      Well for 1, other dudes are all lying, and you can tell because they all picked realy round numbers. For 2, there's many things that can give you a week bench but big arms, shoulder injury being the first that comes to mind

      225 is nothing to scoff at. It's funny, online everyone can bench 315, yet in every gym I've ever been in, in life, seeing 3 plates benched is a rare event, even by massive dudes. And then sometimes there are smallish dudes who've got freakish strength for their size, biomechanics are weird.

      It really depends on what kind of bench set up too, not including the ridiculously 1 inch ROM, but also a bodybuilding style bench is wayyy more difficult than a powerlifting style bench

"hardgainers" don't understand the concept that there is no such thing as a metabolism that is so fast that it actually works like that, and any doctor will tell you. I was one of those hardgainers until i simply started to actually just start counting my calories, and turns out, eating 2 big ass meals out of 3 and zero snacks doesn't mean i eat a lot in total, and my calories werent even reaching 2500. now i try to reach 3k a day with enough grams of protein per bodyweight and i gained kilos upon kilos in just a few months... tell your friends to count his calories. if he's not gaining weight, eat a surplus of 500. eat more even. there is no such human that cant gain weight from eating on a surplus of calories

      @@slurp3194 to someone who lifts a lot and understand what it takes to move some of that weight, it’s usually pretty easy to tell what people can lift. That’s not to say that sometimes you are surprised by someone’s strength, but that doesn’t happen often. The reason the were so quick to answer is because that is a wildly popular question amongst lifters. It’s not the first time they’ve responded to that

    Reading a lot the comments here it seems like so many people still don't understand how exercise works with regards to the big guy saying he does 225.
    ​Muscle mass does not equal strength this is fitness 101. Also specificity is key here too. Seems like a lot of people still don't understand how exercise works from all the likes. People literally going out of their way to not get informed even with all the info out there now?
    If you don't train for strength in low 3-5 rep ranges doing the benchpress then you are not going to get a super strong bench.
    This guy is muscular and most likely just trains hypertrophy which is mostly about growth and though you do gain some strength it's never going to get you that strong.
