- Chalk .... The Nightmare of all Nightmares and NO it's not an art supply.
This is legit the first time I have ever used this stuff and it goes ...... as you'd expect. Hmm should I attempt this again? Let me know.
I am very interested in reading your experiences and your comments about this video.
I do hope you enjoy this format of video, I like doing these, less scripted, videos.
Plus, it's pretty awkward editing this so.... that's a plus.
Haha anyway, I do hope you enjoy the video today, let me know what more you'd like to see.

Add’s weakness is and flaws:doesn’t know how crayons nor knows how to use a chalk stick and board
You fought your fear for us bro I am proud
Were you meant to have the PS5 controller there in the table?
:0 “Ducks are people too”
@ADCArtAttack. Try using it on paper because it doesn't make the noises it does make on chalkboards or slateboards.
Adc: “I’m failing!!”

This is a man that was so surprised on how chalk drawing works
You should try soft pastel chalk
It's... well, softer than the children's sidewalk chalk
You would probably actually really enjoy using it!
I feel the hate for chalk and the "NO, FORGET IT!" reaction! I personally used it to draw when I was a kid but I always hated how it felt having it in my hand and drawing with it.. it's a weird sensation, it always make me shiver and it bothers me in the ears/nek area. I'm a bit hypersensitive when it comes to hearing but chalk triggers me as well, watching this video also gave me shivers but I really enjoyed it! Good for you for trying new scary things 💖
My memory of chalk is my geography teacher throwing it across the classroom at bullet speed at talking students 😂 Glad he didn't have those chunky things in his armament.
LOL
_"¿Has anyone made a career using chalk?"_

Me: chalk the thing I use to love as a kid
ADC: This is my absolute worst enemy. It must dieeee.

Glad to see you watched the video, too
@@whdrawing3863 yeah. His phobia with chalk is like me but with watercolors
@@Sorro421 I don`t want to come across rude. I'm completely aware that phobias are a serious matter and nothing to make fun of. But what could be scary and/or repellent about watercolor? You are just the first one that speaks up on that. Never heard before....
I use the term phobia very freely and understand that that they aren’t necessarily a good thing, I’m only relating to him by saying that how he does not like to use chalk, I am the exact same way about watercolor. (I hope that answers your question🙂)
@@Sorro421 Ok, I see.
I used to love playing with chalk! I had a big chalk board, and I would teach my dolls. I would also just draw a bunch of stuff. Damp paper towel works good as an eraser.
Seeing you get giddy and disgusted at the same time over chalk is hilarious.
I freaking love how very British your accent gets when you're upset.
Kudos for facing your phobia, mate
I actually mentioned this to my wife, my ADC voice switched out a bit in this video.
Its rare my London accent shows in a video but, a couple times it really does show. Was hard to maintain the character.
I also have the same chills too. But the worst for me is if someone scratches glass of metal with their nails
When I went to school someone used soap water to clean the blackboard. The next day the teacher couldn´t write anything so he screamed at us that they have to sand the whole thing now.
amazing video, you are very good at drawing
You’re not alone. I had uncomfortable shivers the whole video. Chalk... *shudders*
5 seconds in and my eardrums are already bursting...
thank you!
ADCArtAttack: "I'm sure you won't enjoy today's video"
Me: **get comfortable and watch intently**
Ew
Anyone else just live his accent when saying chalk I find it oddly satisfying
I used to draw HUGE chalk drawings on the board in breaks so the teacher either had to clean the whole board or leave it on and use the other side of the board. Depends on how impressed the teacher was. Either way, they had barely any chalk left when class started again...
I REALLY like this channel because your funny and make good art which are my two favorite things! 😃
cant wait for ADC to hit 1 mil, your content is just always getting better
I laughed so much I almost wet myself. This was hilarious, even if that wasn't your intention. Thank you so much
"Do you hate chalk?" No i love it
For me it was the “people are scared of spiders I’m scared of chalk” 😂😂
My middle school art teacher would draw these elaborate things out of chalk on the chalk board.. including Batman and robin and it was sooooo good
I have seen amazing art done with chalk on sidewalks and always wondered what kind they used. It seemed way more vibrant than the stuff I used as a kid or in school. I did use some once to do an illustration on black paper in school and it went okay, just very dusty. I think you would find chalk pastel and pastel pencils much more approachable as you have a bit more control, the colors are more vibrant, and you can use it on pastel paper which is kind of like sandpaper. I did do a portrait in chalk pastel in high school on newsprint paper without doing too many layers and it turned out fine. I can't say I hate the texture but it's not pleasant...lately I have been wanting to conquer my aversion to chalk and oil pastels.
I barely got 30 seconds in before I got severely uncomfortable 😂
I don’t know how the heck you did this, but props to you man. I think Sonic turned out good, but at what cost to your sanity
I can feel the pain in your eyes... Kudos to you for conquering your fears. BTW, I think a chalk drawing only works if it's a certain size.
I LOVED the ending Thank you for the laughs, I really needed it ❤

Not going to lie, that sonic chalk drawing pretty good. Hilarious how you have phobia of Chalk.
I remember using chalk the most in art class actually. It was really good at teaching shading techniques.
Congratulations! You overcome your fobia that's amazing !Well done!
I love when you get out of your comfort zone
@ADCArtAttack phobias are a lot to handle regardless if it's a common one or not. I'm proud of you 👏! Thank you for the video and your courage.
Great content dude 🤘🤙
I had the luck that when I was in shcool and highscool they used an marker board
I primary school we used to have both. In high school and lyceum only marker boards
I have the luck of no one using white boards or black boards, we have screens
@@kamithesnom are you from Wakanda? xD
@@panayiotisantoniou5095 I meant computer screens, I'm a lame American lol
Never been so triggered by someone else's anxiety.
Thank you for tackling your fear.... And putting it on the internet.
Also, try chalk board pens/markers (idk what they're actually called). You can see some pretty good art on the menu boards at some restaurants and coffee shops.
I am gonna love this. I have drawn using chalk pastels. It's fun
Awesome vid my man
Awesome vid man keep up 👌
When I went to school we had those chalkboards on the wall. The chalks we used for writing on those were MUCH smaller than yours, so maybe there are smaller ones which are better for drawing on a chalkboard. But tbh your drawing are already better than anything we ever managed to draw so idk if the difference is actually that big.
ADC:This is the worst phobia ever.
Arachibutyrophobia: Are we a joke to you?
Ps. Arachibutyrophobia is the fear of peanutbutter being stuck to the roof of your mouth.
Just based on the first 3mins I want you to know there are different types of chalk! Some vibrant pretty colors, and smaller ones for better control ❤️
Drew an unborn baby on the board with chalk once, teachers were impressed that none erased it.
I think this episode should have been labeled "ADC Vs Chalk Attack"., and the chalk won 😂😂
Chalk, along with clay and cotton wool, is one of my worst sensory issues so this video literally gave me chills😂
*cue flashbacks to primary school art when we were forced to use chalk every lesson because it was the only art supply that my school could afford (I honestly don’t know how I survived)*
Love your work!
Random viewer here. Only recently started watching a bunch of your videos but just wanted to say, I hope you come back to trying this! I find chalk art so interesting. Was hoping you would look into people who do big and beautiful chalk art to maybe try and see how it's done. could be fun.
Chalk art is a challeenge that literally scares me I hate the feeling of chalk on my hands! great job for suffering for us!
I love writing with chalk it’s so satisfying
I can handle chalk but I hate hearing others use it. It’s such a pain haha great video man.
I feel your pain man. I can't stand it either, its even hard just watching you handle it lol
This is a definite win for you!
My wife has (amongst others) an irrational fear of touching certain things (haphephobia?) Including her own fingertips. Seeing you confront these feelings was really awesome!
I kinda want you to continue with the slate (or something similar). Not to torment you, but to see you start ina medium that's so alien to you that your skills are rendered almost non existent... bet it wouldnt take you long ti get up to speed!
Hahaha omg that was so funny xd creepachu much xd and when you started i seriously got the creeps too lmao idk what that is i dont even have to touch it, just see it and shiver 🤣
It look like the character ice creams that don’t look nothing like the character lol great job for your first time and going against your fears lol
I could feel and hear it just watching you. Thank goodness for dry erase. Remember those old light board projectors used in schools?
my art teacher at school literally does a few chalk drawings a day on a board nearly the size of a wall.
ADC is finally defeated by an art supply. And its chalk of all things.
never been this early, so prod
Those are chalks for sidewalk art! I wouldn't advise using chalk for artwork, but if you want to draw on that teeny tiny slate you need much smaller chalks :D
If you buy the small sized stuff you can sharpen it with a pencil sharpener to a fine tip. And it comes out more vibrant if soaked in cold water.
it looked like a Moomin for the 90's at 5mins in the vid! lol. Love your work, watch with my daughter for idea etc...
He’s hella good at art wtff ✋
Lol , great video! You need the try chalk markers! Great colours and multiple sizes of nibs!
That satisfying crunch and snap tho
This was way too entertaining to watch. xD
Your aversion to chalk parallels mine to foam rubber...*shudder*
You've drawn every character I've known and or loved from anime, to cartoons, but I think you should do my most anticipated character I hoped you'd do Majin Vegeta he was and still is my favorite character in the franchise next to Super Saiyan 4 for both Goku and Vegeta.
Tbh I've actually thought about getting a chalk board and a dry erase board just to doodle on every once and awhile
even tho people didnt bring this up. i think you were really brave to face this fear ❣ its not easy for many
First Ily and your vids 😜
Part of the problem was that you used a natural slate slab, you likely would have done better with a different surface medium, there are a Lot of chalk only techniques that you can learn. Its not the easiest but it can be great. You chose a set of chalks with crazy faded out color too. Getting chalk pencils or pens would likely work better for you instead of cheap sidewalk chalk bars. Heck, there are even oil chalks tho those are a whole different beastie. Charcoal has a lot of similarities to chalk if you have ever worked with that although i find charcoal better in almost every way other than color and cleanability. When cleaning dont use water, that will lead to a hardened residue buildup, use a dry chalk brush to clean the board and only after finishing for the whole day and cleaning as best as you can with the dry brush do you then carefully use a chalk board safe cleaning solution to gently wash it and let if fully dry before use again. Also you should try chalk on paper mediums. And try more flowy, airy, light blending art styles, it mostly isnt meant for hard line art like you were trying
Hilarious video! At the very end...the right size chalk. Sidewalk chalk is for....sidewalks, not little slate boards. Still, I agree that chalk is not a very fun medium (IMO) and you can't get nearly the detail or control as other art tools such as markers or pencils.
When I was in high school (2012-2015) we had electronic boards in most classrooms. Economics was one of the only exceptions.
My economics teacher was great, she wrote these amazing summaries for us and if we just did well in her classes we were sure to get good grades on the tests. Only problem with the summaries: she used to write them down on the chalkboard and we had to write all the information ourselves into our notebooks. I hated the sound of it so fucking much, while I loved her classes I loathed going to them because of the god damn chalk sounds.
I like this art and the video
OMG I LOVE THIS! XD
Here we are to give you some Christmas love and hope a better 2021. Thanks for sharing this great content video, Like👍👍👍👍
His art is so good, I would like to see him draw goku in his yardrat outfit.
My favorite art medium is high quality chalk pastels on good pastel paper, so satisfying and completely different than these chalks
i love your drawing
Yourw amazing brooo
I love that sound and the looks of it, maybe i am a little bit crazy tho
Haha we used to fight over who got to clean the blackboard because that person got to use up the little chalk nubs to make a picture lol it also helps get a better darker colour if you were your chalk and it takes away that sound it makes
I LOVE chalk!!! It is a medium I am well versed in now.
It's not that bad ADCArtAttack, don't be so hard on yourself.
I like the Sonic u did.
Oh yes, chalk, the best art product
Here we go. Next episode, ADC Does ASMR. I'm down for whatever
This man is so amazing and extraordinary
find a place with a big concrete not a lot of people walking or driving and make your mark in that concrete with it....
1:13 he casually flexes the ps5 controller 😭😭
You sir have a textbook case of Calxophobia (fear of chalk and chalk related things, i.e. chalkboards and chalky textures), but like many fears exposure can help alleviate this fear little by little. Or like the title of this video you can just never use it again XD
To be fair, you are using sidewalk chalk on a small board. Ive made some awesome pieces on an actual concrete, but they were like, 5 feet long. They have actual colored chalk sticks like those white ones. If you do a sidewalk drawing, burn yourself some sticks to make carbon black ones for outlining.
