$1 vs $70 PENCIL Art | Cheap vs Expensive!! Which is WORTH IT?
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 14 авг 2024
- Bruce Wayne has a lot of Money, would he spend $70 on a single pencil? Well maybe it's just not WORTH IT?...... Lets Find out.
Concrete Pencils are a very cool design, very cleverly made, but for the price of a AAA Video Game, I don't know if it's worth it, that's what we find out in this video comparing it to a standard wooden pencil.
Remember the most important point of these videos, we can create beautiful work no matter the price tag, its all about respecting the limitations of each tool and working to their particular strengths.
Please never be discouraged watching my videos either, A common comment I see relates to my ability vs your own... Always keep in mind I've been an artist for 2 decades, perfecting my style and practising daily.. You can and WILL surpass me with time. Keep at it!!!
I hope you enjoyed todays video and i look forward to reading your comments in the comment section, have yourself a great day,
see you next time.

So from the moment it happened until the next day evening I had trouble talking. The rest of the intro after that moment was using the first recording edited to seem like all part of one take.. I'm sorry if it was noticable. But it hurt too much to talk after.
Hope you all have a GREAT day.. DUCKS ARE PEOPLE TOO!! never forget.
It's not sponsored, but if you were after one of these pencils here's a link to get them..

ADCArtAttack Hey Nice work bro!👌 I’m starting my own channel too✏️✏️🎬
Will you do a drawing of Spider-Man in his Spider-Armor vs. Batman in one of his mech suits? I commented my thoughts on that but I just wanna make sure you got the request! 😁
Can you make a crash bandicoot art from crash mind over mutant or crash of the Titans in negative art or asmr, color pencils cheap vs. Expensive sorry to keep asking for you to draw crash but you haven't drawn him yet.
I think you should compare the $70 dollar mechanical pencil to something like the Rotring 500 series mechanical pencils, something that is also metal constructed and has weight to it, and it is at a much better price point!
ADCArtAttack thanks! I’d love to try one of -
Wait a second. Nice try. I’m not gonna fall for it... your campaign to have fans purchase expensive pencils that MUST be given to ADCartAttack will fail, sir. Shame on you.
🙃
A pencil for $70 i would only buy if it never broke, came with a life time supply of lead and had the ability to make your drawings come to life

Better be made of gods shit or something😂😂
Like the pencil out of spongebob?
I'd save the money and just buy a complete set of wooden pencils that cover all the various HB grades and I'd still have money left over for more art supplies.
I think clutch pencils are better, since they stay the same length, allowing you to really get used to it. The pencil shaped clutch pencils, obviously. Fat pens are for amateurs.
@@xingyuzhou1891 Amatuers? Better look around. Check out Tom Richmond, caricaturist for MAD magazine. He uses a fat crearacolor clutch pencil with 4 or 5mm leads.

Na, I wouldn't buy a $70 pencil, especially when I can get as good results, if not near as good results. 😤

My personal opinion is that the $70 pencil is gorgeous looking design wise but the art work quality it produces is not enough to warrant such a price tag. Also, I absolutely love your take on Batman. Well done man.
I personally like using wooden pencils rather than mechanical pencils when drawing
Edit: go follow my insta going to be uploading more art on there @vibehigher_4416
You monster..YOU MONSTERRR
@@Aulcis lmao don't get my wrong I like mechanical pencils but only for writing 😂😂💀 not drawing
I prefer a mix of both
I use both, wooden I make as my shading and mechanical as the defining part of the drawing, then back to the wooden one to put the first part of shading then mechanical for darker and better shading, so yeah, I’m weird
Dang I don’t even know any more I personally like using a $1,300 drawing tablet and krita (blew all my money on the hardware).

For the shape and comfort of your expensive pencil (without the weight) I'm a huge fan of the Koh-I-Noor 5.6mm clutch pencil. You do end up doing a lot of sharpening if you need detail, but it's just such a fun doodling experience.
Edit: damn, just realised this was a year old video... And one that I'd already watched and commented on. Oh well.
this comparison is absurd when you have priceless talent
Facts cause I thought the no.2 pencil was better in my eyes
Cheap wooden pencils all the way. I am beyond any acceptable level of clumsy. Not willing to throw away 70 bucks like that.
FOR REAL !!!
Great drawing! You really baffle me every time you draw comic characters.
Why spend 70 dollars, if you could spend - I don't know - 10 dollars and get a metal mechanical pencil that doesn't roll either and has the weight you're looking for~
This is true... but I guess, it's why some have Ferraris when a Ford is just as good at getting you from A to B... it's about the name, the style and brand... that's what this series was designed for, to show it's not always about having wealth to get results.

My 5 cents :
Spend $70 on a lesson or two with an art teacher to improve your skills or learn a new technique
Yeah definitely a difference between mechanical and standard. I tend to use mechanical to add detail and any final outlining. Interesting video 👍
The fact that this much talent is crammed into one person is just unbelievable. Not only are you insanely talented but you make your videos very fun and entertaining. Keep up the good work!!
I think this really goes to show that the best pencil is just the one you’re the most comfortable with. Me personally I don’t like wooden pencils because you have to sharpen them, which creates a mess. Mechanical pencils don’t need sharpened and keep a fine point the whole time you use it, so for me they’re better suited what I do. I even just go to my local Dollar Tree and buy a 4 pack of mechanical pencils with rubber grips. The lead button is also on the grip right next to my fingers, so I don’t even need to shift my grip to get more lead. I can also replace the normal eraser with a triangle shaped eraser cap, and I can’t suggest eraser caps enough because they last longer, they have points that let you erase fine detail, and they’re easily replaceable and not hard to remove when almost unusable like the normal erasers.
This artwork not only showed each pencil has its pros and cons, but it looks frickin fantastic. Excellent job

You could see it's smoother but I prefer to buy a blending stump for blending. Hence it will be much cheaper.

This pencil drawing really highlights your wonderful skill as an artist
Great drawing! To my eye, the $70 pencil side looks clearly better, but it seems like you can get most of the benefit (heft, balance) of that pencil from one of those Pentel and the like metal drafting mechanical pencils that are like 10-20 bucks. I would get that plus a set of complete wooden pencils at all the various grades and still be way ahead. Am I missing something?
Man, I was missing your videos so much!
Me too lol.
I just found your channel and I am impressed with not only your artistic skills but you have an absolutely wonderful personality! You have gained a subscriber and I also want to say thank you for creating this excellent channel.

Moral of the story, if you're a good artist any pencil is a good pencil
YES! I've been waiting for this moment finally a batman drawing, I am a huge fan!
btw my favorite Batman is Jim lee's but Frank miller Batman has got to be my second favorite of all time!
I would just like to note that mech pencils come in different sizes (.5mm, .7mm, and 2.0mm) The 2mm can be sharpened well. Many have the sharpener in the head. While you can get different hardnesses in mech pencils, they are not as common or varied. I love mech pencils, and finding a holder/body that fits and feels good, can change the drawing experience greatly. Wooden pencils are very common and have a lot of variety and robustness as a drawing tool.
I think it comes down to personal preference. If you haven't used a mech pencil I recommend that you try one. The 2mm is basically the size of wooden leads and I recommend that size :)
Pencils don't matter. What matters is the one using them and you did a great job.
I haven't seen you draw batman yet! Great artwork and great video, keep it up!
Its VERY rare.. he's my Bane.. 😅
I struggle to find compelling video ideas with his dark design
@@ADCArtAttack OMG thank you for replying it really means alot. And yeah batman doesn't really have much of a colour pallet, unless you draw his rainbow suit.
I don't have 70 dollars to spend on one pencil... My conscience would utterly kill me. I liked the feel of the right hand side but the left seemed darker and I liked that. I can't hold the 70$ pencil so I'm taking your word on the feel but in the long run, I just can't see paying that much for the weight and dimensions. Nice art BTW.
The 70$ pencil's shadows are much smoother than the 1$ pencil

Batman wins with the Hellbat armor, which can go toe to toe with Darksied, who is basically evil god
No, becuz it's Batman.

@@Senior_Pineapple give your reason
One of the best pencils I ever had was a tiny golf course pencil with super thick lead. It was probably a #2 HB, but the bigger diameter lead made shading large areas super easy.
Oh, and it was free.
How come this guy doesn't have 1 million subscribers man?
He's awesome.
I would say yes the 70 dollar pencil will make you feel more at ease especially when drawing a 10 hour long scetch.
Slippery slope! You'll need an $80 eraser to go with it now!
This reminds me of how people spent a lot of money(forgot how much) to make a pen that can work in space when a pencil works just fine
Sure, but sharpening a pencil in a spaceship can lead to problems. You can't have pencil shavings floating around. And pencils aren't very durable.
@@SteveFrenchWoodNStuff Come with already sharpened pencils or a sharpener with a container attached. Also, If the container starts to get full just release them with your space dumps. I'm cheap though mainly because I think the world would be just fine if there was no currency at all.
@@mistymanning5769 bish, they dont use the pencils because they had a fire incident once due to the wooden pencils.
@@RudraJain Oh ok. Thanks for the knowledge.
Great video, Awsome drawing. I think the left side $1:00 pencil, you got more of a darker look when wanting so. Mechanical pencils can sometimes scratch the paper & you won't get darker like you can with a regular pencil. PS, how is your jaw??? & do you talk this fast when you are at home with your wife? lol respect mate, Mel from Oz 😉
I generally have a fast speech pattern.. when around english people I speak much faster, I try to slow down for these videos and with my wife as shes German.

I used to do all my drawings with a 2mm mechenical pencil and I loved it in the end I lost the tip of my 2mm and it took me literly years to get over it and buy a new one.
in the years between them I always drew with a cheap pencil 2H and an HB but I stopped drawing and now 5 years later I finaly bought a 2mm again in october last year and I've been drawing from time to time and loving it more and more

The $70 pencil looks lighter but smoother. Very cool that you did one on pencils. I would choose the cheaper ones lol I did my very first marker mashup video where I pit the Firefly cheap alcohol markers with the Copics. :)
Great video and Great nusic in this vid as well. Perfect for doing Art!

So cool man, keep up the grind
Simply amazing. You inspired me to start drawing again, after half a year of not touching my pencil and paper. Even got me into coloring my drawings.
I do have a question though.
Whenever I start to color my drawings (I do have a set of promarkers) the bleeding causes me headaches 😅. What paper is the best to use markers, in your opinion.
Thanks in advance.
“For those beyond my borders” ha ha ha. Well done.
I like that rather than saying “HB” he says “hay-ch bee”.
Yes! Was wondering when the next video was coming lol good stuff.
Wait, "It's quite easy to get distracted having that lack of weight in your hand"
Sounds like a personal problem lolololol
I can’t decide. Both sides look awesome!
That in itself proves the answer is no.
You RUclips artists have inspired me to start my own channel!
And gave up quickly lol. Give it another go haha
The comment on the sharpening is spot on. I despise how some pencils sharper. Sometimes you get one and the wood is so soft and it just works. Other times the wood is...coming apart, like, it frays, rather than being simply cut away. It's weird.
Good video
I may not be first
I may not be last
But when I see ADCArtAttack post I click as fast as I can
You, are, a, LEGEND
I can get great mechanical pencils that are comfortable to hold at my dollar store. I've actually bought several and filled them with the coloured mechanical pencil lead by uni. It's really nice lead that acts like graphite, but is coloured. So I can erase and blend like graphite, and colour blend like coloured pencils, I usually use them for sketches under transparent mediums like alcohol markers and watercolor.
Awesome video 😎
A pencil for 70 bucks? Dude, not even my drawing tablet cost that much! :D
I think the 70 dollar one looks better but is not worth 70 compared to the one dollar one. BTW ADCArtAttack, great drawing. Absoloutely loved it. You adapted to each different pencil really well
One thing is that the H in HB means that it is a hard cored pencil and that the B means that the shading would be constantly a metalic black instead of being more of a metalic sliver
I still want to see you get thrift store art and add things to it.
Great video. I prefer to use a mechanical pencil but NOT that expensive. I love your videos! We have been waiting!!
By the way I just realize you have a tatoo!! Show us! Did you do it? Who draw it?

Hey man, love your content! I have a few questions about your art supplies.
After watching so much of your videos, I bought the 48 box set of Windosor and Newton Promarkers, and completely fell in love with them. However, the occasional spitting the markers do have been driving me crazy, and has ruined a couple of pieces. Do you have any tips for alleviate this?
Also. Out of curiosity, is there a place that you can recommend where I can get the complete set of Promarkers for a decent price?
And finally do you have any recommendations for a marker rack?
And sorry for so many questions! I've traditionally been just a paper/pencil cheap artist, but your stuff has really inspired me to branch out. 😅
Anyway, thanks for listening to me. Again, love your channel!
I think the stand I use is Spectrum Noir pens stands..
Regarding pens I buy them individually never in sets..
And the spitting, I've only experienced this with 2 pens, An Indigo blue and Purple.. I used the Chisel side when this happened... or if I could, got a hold of the brush variants..
It does suck and i really dont know why some do that. Sorry I cant help too much
@@ADCArtAttack oh no, thank you. I still appreciate you taking the time to message me! I thought that might be the case with buying the pens. I'm not hurting for the money, I'm just cheap. 😅
I'll look into the marker stands though for sure. Thanks again!
when i used to draw i had both mechanical and wooden pencils. sometimes it felt like the standard pencil would out perform the mechanical and then the next day id only use mechanical pencil. it was more about comfort them anything else. but i also had different leads for my mechnicals too aside from the many types of normal pencil grades. i seemed to hover around the "B's"
It wouldn’t matter if it’s a $1 pencill or a $70 pencill as long as it’s Adc he’s gon make a beautiful artwork
Great vid ADC!😁
I love your chanel so much and i have been so inspired by your chanel have wached at you for almost 2 years now
Btw i think that batman would win becase he have more experience then spiderman
Definitely batman
If you want a sharpenable mechanical pencil, look into drafting pencils (aka lead holders). The leads tend to be thicker (2mm) that you sharpen in a vertical mechanical sharpener. You get the feel, weight, control and reusable lead of a mechanical pencil but can still get super sharp points, dull points, varied line thickness, and side shading.
And they usually less than $20..
Considering my tendency to constantly have my head in the clouds, I fear the seventy dollar pencil would not last long in my care. Also, I don't have your talent. So, for me, I'd probably have to go with the cheapie pencil. I think both sides of your drawing look great. 😃
Nice way to starting my day... sick.
The video did make me feel better already, and I learned some tips! ;p
"I dont like them too long but i dont like them too short either" wise words from a wise man..😂
Honestly, after watching this video, after alot of comparison videos, I've realised that the skills are what matters, not the quality of the tools. Honestly, i like the 1$ cuz it's having texture and looks dark and nice. Tho your skills are what making the drawing very nice. Maybe awesome, no words to express the artwork.
Can you do a drawing like this where it’s split and one side is colored normal and the other is in a negative?! I think that would be cool to do. Awesome video, as always!
I actually really like the drawing of Batman. Good stuff.

You are an amazing artist
No prep, random meeting between Batman and Spider-Man with both on top of their game that day, Spider-Man wins 9/10 times if they're both going all out. If Batman is able to prep for the encounter he may be able to devise a way to win.
I prefer the £1 pencil from looking at it but I'm not sure about the feeling of actually drawing it.
HB is one of the standard art pencils in the states as well, it's just the standard *standard* pencil every schoolkid has is 2B over here.
To tell you the truth, I couldn't see any difference between them worth talking about. :-) Over the years of being an artist myself, I've bought many various 'rich to the pocket' pens and Pencils. Mostly, I find it's down to personal taste. ( I won't even start on the many kinds and makes of paper I've been through :-})
I love to use graphite, and watercolour paints and Pencils. However, I will try most mediums, that's how you grow as an artist. I also love finding a real gem of an art medium..
Great drawing. Cheers! 🇬🇧😀
For me I ink pretty much all my art I just use a pencil for rough sketchers and layout so I just need a pencil that works not a $70 pencil.

to me the quality of the led on the expensive pencil is not great and even much more flat and lighter than the 1 dollar pencil....but hey it has a good grip and feel ;-)
Color me intrigued. I'd love to try out that $70 pencil, not sure I'd want to actually drop $70 on it, though. Both sides of the drawing came out fantastic though.
I'm perfectly happy with my 3.00 mechanical pencils. I feel in your video the mechanical was smoother but, the cheap pencil was heavier and was more perfect for batman.
Oh, I forgot to mention in my last comment that the Uni Ball Kuru Toga 0.5mm is a Self Sharpening Mechanical pencil. Also you can sharpen pencil leads used in Lead Holders with the special pencil sharpener 😁
I have a question ?
Is not the same thing a pen or mechanic pen?
Is not all is in the mine (graphite)?
