This needs a part two or even three, Using different colors. A spider-man or Superman show down and maybe a green goblin showdown. It's clear that for dark shades the cheaper markets dominate, but what about vibrant colors when needed?
In part 2 you should give the Windsor & Newton an unfair advantage since they ARE brighter by doing a classic Goku vs. Vegeta or Batman The Animated Series style Batma. Vs. Joker (which is a style I think you'd absolutely do justice to btw) drawing and see how the Graph it B does. Because in all honesty they DOMINATED they pricier favorites in this episode lol
Might i suggest an artwork using multiple markers, showing a combination of their different strengths and supplementing their weaknesses with other marker's strengths.
@@prpeptv8463 i meant to use multiple markers on a single artwork using styles that emphadizes each of the marker's strengths and covering their weaknesses with a different marker's strength.
The color of the Graph'it B is spot on for this character. The Windsor Newton makes Venom look like wearing Dragon Ball Z color palette. Great work, ADC! On a different note: what happened to the light blue seciton of the tongue in the Graph'it B side? May it be a mistake?
For real. If you think about it they end just as fast (like really fast) as any other markers, they are just higher quality. I’d rather draw on my iPad Pro with literally any color and effect
I'm conflicted. I love to see the medium shine through in a piece of art, so the Graphit B allowing the fine line shading is a win. But I also love vibrancy and contrast, which the W & N takes for me. It'd be nice to see you use both sets together in a piece.
For him one 200 for someone like him who makes quite a bit a money from his job it’s not all that much especially for the quality and a regular price of alcoholic markers is more expensive
I think for some1 like myself who's just starting to dabble with markers the graphit B markers are perfect for a beginner, pro markers are definitely worth it once skill level can justify the increase in cost . In my opinion. Great video!
If you're really just starting you might consider the Ohuhus also. They're super cheap and good quality. Then if you like alcohol markers you can decide on a brand (or brands) to expand your collection.
After watching your videos, I was convinced to experiment with coloring using alcohol markers. Prior to your vids, I only drew in pencil. I went online and bought some JHF Art markers for $25 on Amazon. It is a 48 pack of alcohol markers that come with a blender, a white highlighter pen, and a shading sheet. I love these markers because I think they work fantastically, but they have a slightly faster ink flow than I would prefer. It would be awesome if you did a Cheap Vs. Expensive episode with these JHF Art markers
My only criticism is that the the right side looks more cartoonish or anime style because of that bright pigmentation but I personally think that brings a new perspective of venom and I personally love it . Keep the great drawings and videos coming
I personally enjoyed the cartoony effect on the w&n side but if you way up cost, performance etc you would logically go for the graph’it B markers but I’ll wait to find out if you can buy individual markers before making any absolute judgments as that will be a big decision changer if you cant
Graph It B are my choice. Made him a bit less cartoony but I do love the brightness of your Winsor markers. They work well I think for the “brighter” heroes out there. Good stuff as always man.
I've searched it up: you can get individual markers but they come out at $5.29 per marker which is crazy considering how much a single Winsor and Newton one is for me in Scotland
i reall like the left one more in coloring but cant confirm it cause i think u didn't have the nice purple for the character basically the right one is too saturated thats all and the reason y i cant confirm this is cause u have draw some brilliant style in the 10 styles thing ... an thats all great arts and this is just more saturated for the charecter (venom *obviosly)
I'm not sure if anyone has said this or not but you can get nib attachments for the Windsor & Newton pens that turn them into fineliners hope this helps
They're both great, and the liner from the Graph it B is a cool feature, but I like the finish of the Pro Markers more. Graph it B is doing that splotchy thing Copics do sometimes.

I'm not about to throw out my W&N pens, but that was an impressive run from the cheaper brand. As you said, if you'd played to both their strengths it would have been a fairer comparison. I would actually like to see that in general since it matches real-world use more. And I've used the purple side of W&N and had much darker, more venom-apropriate shades. Ultimately, though, it seems you can't go wrong with either one, and if I was starting out now, I might go for the cheaper set instead of growing my collection over months.

I don't see the colored fine liners as a gimmick at all. I think they would be excellent for cross hatch shading on a colored piece. I'd love to see a video where you give that a try. Edit: I made my comment before I saw you use the fine liner for line shading. I'd still like to see a cross hatch video with those markers.
Tbh, I like the left side better, might be because of the successful use of the lines, idk. The right side though with how vibrant it is can really work with venom considering how he’s actually a lot more campy then people give him credit for(if you’ve seen some of the goofy antics venoms done in the comics, especially in the 90’s you’ll understand what I’m talking about) though the color scheme is bordering on his daughter Agony’s color scheme so there’s that. Also can we all agree that the majority of us tend to neglect a certain selection of colors in our art supplies? Because you only now realizing that you’ve never gone this full in depth with the purples from the Windsor & Newton set is really relatable, and something I’m pretty we’ve all done at some point with our markers.
