If you liked them at 120 markers for $120, I actually got this set before the holidays for $70. Thanks less than 60 cents per marker. I also got both their skin (36 markers) and grey (36 markers) sets. I found that using the broad tip helps the blending even better. I really like the Arteza markers.
Yeah, no joke. I know quite a few very, VERY talented guitarists, that have their fav guitars that are weird hybrid parts of different models, and setups etc. Price doesn't necessarily mean quality, not in all senses anyways, especially in a field like 'art'
Yeah I was a little nervous about using the black with the Arteza, I kinda wish I did... but, I think based on the lighting across the red, it's okay...
Both sides have their own merits. The left has that 90's look and shading of some of the comics. The right was very clean and the blending was ALOT better. I have 2 questions. First the issue of tearing the paper. If you took the time to let the left dry a little, move to another section then come back with another color later would it of helped in slowing the rolling-up of the paper? Just a thought. 2. With the blending marking did you get any bleed back into the tip? I've had markers in the past did that and carry colors into a different color palette and had wisps of colors that didn't belong.
He just proved that If you are a great artist, you can literally use anything to make a good artwork... Cheap or expensive, this guy can still make a superb artwork... Love it
The right looks more professional, and definitely has better blending, but honestly my eye enjoys the left more, for some reason. I think it just looks more "hand drawn," and not printed.
I would honestly choose left.I think that it looks more like deadpool . Also I think the right has WAY too much grey, but that's what I think, what do you think
The biggest drawback with most mediums out there is the muted colors for me, i get sick of the muted washed up look. Now i definitely have found use for muted colors but with my watercolors and other paints they become more of a handicap. The tearing of the paper is a let down however i would choose the twenty dollar ones. I would easily trade vast color schemes but dull results for limited color but vibrancy, plus limited colors has always encouraged creativity for me.
For a comic style, I would say the left side is best, but for anything else , I would say the right side. They both look AMAZING though. Very well done👍

You can definitely tell which markers are more expensive but videos like this display how talent and skill are WAY more important than gear because both sides look great.
When you first started coloring the right side, I thought, 'Left side, hands down.' When you finished the right side, I was drawn to the smoothness of the colors. On the other hand, the shadows are deeper and more interesting on the left. Can I like them both or do you insist upon a decision? 🤔
@F u n n y D a n k I think that, if I had to make a decision, I would have to pick the left side. It's just so.... gritty and cool. Okay, cool is inadequate, but I couldn't think of a good enough word--terrible thing for a writer to have to admit.

I love watching all of your stuff. Now I'm curious on if people intentionally buy cheaper stuff to add rough texture for their style or even to better their art. How do you feel like exploring everything has made you better in your personal art?
ya ever think he gets an email from a marker company and they're like, hey we'll pay you ($$$) dollars if you compare our markers to some really crappy ones.
I like the right because it looks smoother and cleaner but the left side has brighter colors so it has that pop that catches my eye.so right side details left side color contrast
i've never seen anyone overlay connector pens on a serious drawing. You still layered them with the confidence of an alcohol based pen and made it look really good, for this i have subscribed. As for the vote, the black sections honestly look better on the left with a professional inking depth, but the reds and highlights look better on the arteza side, which is kind of in the style difference - but then you're working the style around the medium to some degree. so i'm torn, both are sweet. I prefer to use alcohol based markers myself.
Yeah but if you listen to everything he says you can't buy any of those $1 markers singly. Meaning every time you run out of one marker you have to spend $120 to get the entire said again that immediately throws it out in my book. Plenty of markers that achieved the same type of quality better still around the same price that you can order individual markers from should one run out or say the dog chew on it
idk why but I feel like it’s kind of hard to find an artist that does a compare video right. So many people do a cartoonish or landscape style that really doesn’t do the markers justice. The shading and your skill really prove that you don’t need to spend a lot to make a professional drawing.
I like the black of the felt tip and the red of the alcohol. Have you contemplated doing a video, such as this where you color in with one style/brand of marker (due to the way it blended) and combining another style/brand and seeing what the finished product would be?
The cheap markers gives way more texture than the expensive markers and to me, that is worth far more than smooth blending because it says a lot about the talent behind the marker. Great job.
This'll obviously be biased based on the fact we're looking at a cartoon figure drawing, but..: At a distance, the left hand side looks more expensive than the right hand side. Left side looks crisp, clear, contrasty. Right hand looks greyed out, smudged, too outlined. Close up, it's inversed. Left hand side looks undetailed, generic - and oddly, now like the more outlined one. Right hand has depth, color width, smoothness. Both are worth it, just different purposes.
I think the differences in the base colors (especially the red base color) made a difference in the outcome. They were different enough that a different effect was achieved. That being said, I think the pricey ones would be worth the money. The smoothness of them gives a very pleasant quality to the work.
I wonder what the felt tip markers would look like on watercolor paper?? Would they tear the paper as much? And what if you used a water brush for blending them as with crayola markers? Both sides look AMAZING!
I like the right side I just with it had the same level of darkness compared to the black pen in the 20$ pack. Imagine the right sides face and shoulder being that dark.😶👍
Wow, it's very difficult to choose one set! They both can create some good styles. Also your a brilliant artist, and can make chalk look amazing! I appreciate the demostration.
I prefer the left cheap pens, the colours just seem to pop. It's the real skill of an artist being able to use what's in front of them and still having amazing results 👍👍
So as you are coloring this in and talking about the look you were getting from the markers not having the chisel tip and bleeding, I was getting a titan muscly vibe from Attack on Titan. I think it would look awesome using that "style" for a titan.

I prefer Pencil Crayons over Markers, but I do not have a preference when it comes to digital art vs anaolg. I prefer making art on my note 9 on basic mode with 4k enabled instead of a drawpad with no built in screen. The Note 9 can even get some very accurate colors with Basic mode and no blue light filter on. The colors on Basic mode are more like what you see on lots of accurate apple products and apple is known for having super accurate colors on the display of lots of their devices. The note 9 has an s pen with way less lag than the last ones and is my fav phone I have ever had and is still my fav phone after looking at many others. 😹🤘

I know I’m like 2 months late but my favorite marvel characters are Deadpool and Spider-Man
Wow
Same
After you do a drawing, you should see what it looks like done with both markers. Like use both brands to colour one drawing if that makes sense?
the left side just appears more darker...and richer....the wild overlapping really adds unique quality to the work.
i found 20$ expensive for a marker, maybe do a poor vs cheap version?
in conclusion :
20$ markers are sharp in color
150$ markers are smooth and faded
@@SpartanLaserCanon You do you, everyone uses what the like and prefer.
