She’s a human being, I would like to add this, when the Riverchase Galleria opened in the early 80s she was there to help with the festivities and she was criticized about her behavior, I was taken aback because she volunteered her time to come to a state she rarely heard about and most likely had jet lag and other things and didn’t have time to put on a “happy royal face “ people are rude and insensitive to others especially those in the spotlight, unless you are in the spotlight or fishbowl stop being rude to others that are.
I think the problem with the Grimaldi's is just generations of bad behavior caused by a sense of entitlement and wealth. And a lot of getting away with the bad behavior.

There's also a curse in the portuguese royal family, the Braganza's curse! Allegedly, the first king of the Braganza dinasty, João IV, kicked a franciscan friar who was begging for an alm, and he cursed him - no Braganza should see their firstborn reach adulthood and reign. And that curse always came through one way or another, from the João IV first son (1600's), to the last portuguese king's older brother, and firstborn, who was assassinated (1908). There migh be one exception or two, but were rare. I recall Pedro V, who was indeed a firstborn, but died really, really young (24 years old), and reigned only 6 years As a result, the family truly learned to prepare really well both the heir and the spare.

Of course, an abuser or bully doesn’t only abuse or bully one person. Of course, it’s a personality trait that extends to everyone. A person who wants to hold others back, doesn’t only do it to one person. He does it to many. One curse is bad enough for karma. Imagine several curses. Must be a living hell for the cursed.

Ravens are not evil! They are beautiful and extremely intelligent creatures, along with the crows, jays, magpies, rooks, and jackdaws. Did you know that they have the intelligence of a 7 year old human, can recognize and remember faces, pass knowledge down generations, mimic human speech, solve puzzles, along with many other things? They also know their reflection in a mirror, something previously thought was only possible with humans and some apes, and they also understand water displacement, and can practice self-control if it means they get a better reward. A lot of rescued crows and ravens have a deep bond with their caretakers. Anything but evil.
My uncle, a minister and hunter, accidentally adopted a crow once. It stayed with the family for several years, and was quite a character. Corvids are very clever creatures.

You forgot the curse from the Knights Templars to King Philip IV of France. Legends say that as Grand Master Jacques de Molay was burning at the stake in 1314, he cursed Pope Clement V and King Philip, saying that the Pope and King will die within a year and a day, and his bloodline would rule France no more. They both died later that same year and all 4 of Philip IV's direct descendants died relatively young and with no male heirs: Louis X in 1316 at age 26, his posthumous son, John I, in 1316 at age 5 days; Louis' brother, Philip V , in 1322 at age 28, and Philip's brother, Charles IV, in 1328 at age 33; thus ending 300 years of Capetian kings.

There is also a legend/curse from a Croatian king. Many many years ago king Zvonimir was killed by his people and cursed the nation that they will never or will not have for a long time, a leader of their own blood. That was true in the end because after that Hungarians, Italians, Austrians etc. rulled over us until Yugoslavia and in the end Croatia today as an own republic. Until then we were always under foreign rule. Almost 1000 years.
As someone who is a Nepali and grew up hearing about the royal family and all it’s history, the one i was told in school was that of gorakhnath and the curd is that when the curd fell on his feet the god foretold that if you had eaten the vomited curd any place you dreamed of conquering would be conquered but as it fell on your feet only the places your feet has touched would be conquered. The end of the dynasty was actually foretold in two parts. One where I don’t remember where exactly but there was a prophecy that the dynasty would end in 10 generations. Another was the curse of Sati. It was a curse placed on by the wife of Bhimsen thapa the first prime minister. She cursed Nepal to suffer with political, economic and social problems forever. She cursed Nepal never to be developed and also that anyone person who will try to good in this country will suffer.
The curse was not placed by bhimsen thapa wife but rather was given by the wife Bhima Malla who was a minister for the malla kings who was really influential and so the other ministers conspired against him and he was executed. The Prince certainly doesnt love her but at least he seems like a good father to all his children. I think anyone should take great pause before marrying into any royal family, they can be abusive and you cant say anything because of how they are structured and for this particular family, their massive wealth and power enables them to get away with anything.
This is a true story: In 1952, Mayo won the GAA Sam Maguire Cup. (Mayo are an Irish football team who won the All-Ireland cup in 1952). While celebrating, the team passed through a village where someone had recently died. They didn't stop their celebrations. So the priest said something like "I curse you to never win a cup again u til everyone on your team dies". All of the players witnessed the priest say this. Mayo have made it to 18 finals since then. Legend has it that because King John IV of Portugal kicked a Franciscan friar while he (the friar) was begging for alms, said friar cursed King John IV of Portugal, such that no firstborn male heir among his descendants will ever live long enough to sit on the Portuguese throne. I always personally found Marina Mniszech’s supposed curse on the Romanoff family spooky. Although it’s more of a rumour than anything, I could imagine her cursing the dynasty to end with the death of a Tsarevich after what they did to her family. Also, didn’t Nicholas and Alexandra have to open some secret document when the Romanoff family celebrated 300 years on the throne after which they were said to become very disturbed, or was that tied to the assassination of Paul I (or again, just a myth)?
Actually surprised the Hessian curse wasn’t mentioned, but I guess there’s no cause, just three generations of bad luck. Grand Duchess Alice and her daughter dying of diphtheria five years after her younger son died of hemophilia. Then her granddaughter Elisabeth dying young, another grandson Heinrich dying of hemophilia. Then her daughters Elisabeth and Alexandra and Alexandra’s husband and children murdered during the Russian Revolution. And finally, only a month after her son Ernest died, his wife, son, daughter-in-law and two grandsons die in a plane crash in the way to his second son’s wedding. The second son adopted his brother’s baby daughter who wasn’t on the plane, only for her to die a year later of meningitis. The second son and his wife never had children of their own and that line of the family ended up extinct. So much tragedy in one family. Even more if you consider Louis Mountbatten being a Hessian descendant on both sides of his family and he and his grandson were killed in an IRA bombing. His sister Louise lost her only child in childbirth too.

Eh, that's not a curse, Rasputin was just not dumb and the Russian people were extremely angry for a long time. There were plenty of attempted and completed assassinations of members of the Romanov family in the years before the revolution. That was like cursing a football player with aching legs.

I read Philippa Gregory's "The White Princess" a few years ago. If Elizabeth Woodville and Elizabeth of York did indeed cast a curse of the male line of the Tudor dynasty dying, it indeed came true since Prince Arthur (eldest son) and Henry VIII's eldest son (his first son with Catherine of Aragon). I found it weird that Grace Kellys wealthy building family had to pay 3- million to Gromaldi as a dowry. Grace Kelly father refused and Grace Kelly who had done a few films by then had to pay the three million herself --- as it was not a love match but a marriage of convenience. I found it odd - Grimaldi went back to his extra marital affairs within a few months of the wedding. What on earth did she marry him for - imagine having to pay someone to marry you. 3-million She must have wanted to be a proncess really badly. He ignored her mainly but she adored her children & she had got a male heir who has proved to be a philanderer and he had two children out of wedlock, i think two black children but he has acknowleged them. But the South African Olympic swimmer hes married had twin a boy and a girl but she tried to run away before the wedding but after going to South Africa as she had an infection. This reminds me that I heard the Romanovs had like 2 that allegedly came true with their fate after the revolution. 1. Apparently Marina, the Polish wife of one or both of the False Dimitris, iis considered a witch in a Russian legend and cast a curse on the Romanovs following his son's execution by the 1st Romanov tsar saying that "it began with a child's death and with a child's death it will end" (or something similar, I can't recall exactly) 2. The famed Rasputin who warned the tsar that if the Russian peasants killed him, he wouldn't have anything to fear, but if the nobles did, they would die in two years.
I think it’s more of a coincidence’s. That monarchy was simply not set up to win revolutions or last forever. The last tsar was probably always going to be assassinated, the horrific execution the whole family faced had more to do with the ambition and righteousness of the revolutionaries who wanted to take over the country rather than reform it after the tsar abdicated. They saw it as the only option, that had more to do with their ideologies than with a curse. And there is nothing mythical about Rasputin, people were always predicting and talking about the fall on a regular basis for years.

She was against he granddaughter marrying the Emperor as you likely know. But the house of Hesse seemed doubly cursed. They also believed Romanovs who married Hessian brides were all cursed to death. Emperor Paul, Alexander II, Nicholas II and grand duke Sergei all married Hessian brides and died. The last two Hessian brides would also be murdered as we know too.The 'cursed' Hessian-Romanov marriages was one reason the family was against Nicholas marrying Alix and argued the case to Nicholas. The whole family 'curses' and 'prophesies' are fascinating.

i read about the shah dynasty in books. But the legend isn't how i remember it. I thought that the yogurt spilled on his feet, so whatever land he walked on, he was able to conquer it and unite them as one. If he had drank it like he was told to, then anything he wished for would have came true.

The curse with the Hapsburgs is totally believable. Ravens are incredibly intelligent. They have been known to pass what they have experienced to their decedents. Like my grandfather. When I was little, back in the Georgia woods, ravens had it out for him. We'd be outside playing, going in and out of that little shack, anything. But as soon as that old '55 Ford pickup hit that back road towards that shack, the whole scenery changed. The sound of wings fluttering towards the trees where they'd sit and wait for him to get out. He'd get out of the pickup with a old WWII green wool blanket over his head, lunch pail under one arm and hauling ass to the backdoor. Us kids didn't dare laugh because grandpa's pimp hand was strong. 😅 Family laughs about it today and whatever he did to piss off ravens is lost to time.

A nobleman was falsely accused and was killed and since there was the sati system his wife was to burn at stake with him. Because he always served the country and was falsely accused by his enemies and killed by the king which he served and respected the most his wife cursed that "whoever will want good and do good for this country will meet his death soon" since then the last king who was very well loved and still is loved by the citizens and every good politicians who tried to make our country better has always faced untimely death. She’s a human being, I would like to add this, when the Riverchase Galleria opened in the early 80s she was there to help with the festivities and she was criticized about her behavior, I was taken aback because she volunteered her time to come to a state she rarely heard about and most likely had jet lag and other things and didn’t have time to put on a “happy royal face “ people are rude and insensitive to others especially those in the spotlight, unless you are in the spotlight or fishbowl stop being rude to others that are.

There's also a curse in the portuguese royal family, the Braganza's curse! Allegedly, the first king of the Braganza dinasty, João IV, kicked a franciscan friar who was begging for an alm, and he cursed him - no Braganza should see their firstborn reach adulthood and reign. And that curse always came through one way or another, from the João IV first son (1600's), to the last portuguese king's older brother, and firstborn, who was assassinated (1908). There migh be one exception or two, but were rare. I recall Pedro V, who was indeed a firstborn, but died really, really young (24 years old), and reigned only 6 years

They also know their reflection in a mirror, something previously thought was only possible with humans and some apes, and they also understand water displacement, and can practice self-control if it means they get a better reward. A lot of rescued crows and ravens have a deep bond with their caretakers. Anything but evil.
My uncle, a minister and hunter, accidentally adopted a crow once. It stayed with the family for several years, and was quite a character. Corvids are very clever creatures.

Many many years ago king Zvonimir was killed by his people and cursed the nation that they will never or will not have for a long time, a leader of their own blood. That was true in the end because after that Hungarians, Italians, Austrians etc. rulled over us until Yugoslavia and in the end Croatia today as an own republic. Until then we were always under foreign rule. Almost 1000 years.

As someone who is a Nepali and grew up hearing about the royal family and all it’s history, the one i was told in school was that of gorakhnath and the curd is that when the curd fell on his feet the god foretold that if you had eaten the vomited curd any place you dreamed of conquering would be conquered but as it fell on your feet only the places your feet has touched would be conquered.
The end of the dynasty was actually foretold in two parts. One where I don’t remember where exactly but there was a prophecy that the dynasty would end in 10 generations. Another was the curse of Sati. It was a curse placed on by the wife of Bhimsen thapa the first prime minister. She cursed Nepal to suffer with political, economic and social problems forever. She cursed Nepal never to be developed and also that anyone person who will try to good in this country will suffer.

I always personally found Marina Mniszech’s supposed curse on the Romanoff family spooky. Although it’s more of a rumour than anything, I could imagine her cursing the dynasty to end with the death of a Tsarevich after what they did to her family.
Also, didn’t Nicholas and Alexandra have to open some secret document when the Romanoff family celebrated 300 years on the throne after which they were said to become very disturbed, or was that tied to the assassination of Paul I (or again, just a myth)?

Actually surprised the Hessian curse wasn’t mentioned, but I guess there’s no cause, just three generations of bad luck. Grand Duchess Alice and her daughter dying of diphtheria five years after her younger son died of hemophilia. Then her granddaughter Elisabeth dying young, another grandson Heinrich dying of hemophilia. Then her daughters Elisabeth and Alexandra and Alexandra’s husband and children murdered during the Russian Revolution. And finally, only a month after her son Ernest died, his wife, son, daughter-in-law and two grandsons die in a plane crash in the way to his second son’s wedding. The second son adopted his brother’s baby daughter who wasn’t on the plane, only for her to die a year later of meningitis. The second son and his wife never had children of their own and that line of the family ended up extinct. So much tragedy in one family.

This reminds me that I heard the Romanovs had like 2 that allegedly came true with their fate after the revolution.
1. Apparently Marina, the Polish wife of one or both of the False Dimitris, iis considered a witch in a Russian legend and cast a curse on the Romanovs following his son's execution by the 1st Romanov tsar saying that "it began with a child's death and with a child's death it will end" (or something similar, I can't recall exactly)
2. The famed Rasputin who warned the tsar that if the Russian peasants killed him, he wouldn't have anything to fear, but if the nobles did, they would die in two years.
I think it’s more of a coincidence’s. That monarchy was simply not set up to win revolutions or last forever. The last tsar was probably always going to be assassinated, the horrific execution the whole family faced had more to do with the ambition and righteousness of the revolutionaries who wanted to take over the country rather than reform it after the tsar abdicated. They saw it as the only option, that had more to do with their ideologies than with a curse. And there is nothing mythical about Rasputin, people were always predicting and talking about the fall on a regular basis for years.

i read about the shah dynasty in books. But the legend isn't how i remember it. I thought that the yogurt spilled on his feet, so whatever land he walked on, he was able to conquer it and unite them as one. If he had drank it like he was told to, then anything he wished for would have came true.
And there was another one that said that if shah Mohammed Reza’s first child was a girl, he would be overthrown later in his life , and it did happen.

The curse with the Hapsburgs is totally believable. Ravens are incredibly intelligent. They have been known to pass what they have experienced to their decedents. Like my grandfather. When I was little, back in the Georgia woods, ravens had it out for him. We'd be outside playing, going in and out of that little shack, anything. But as soon as that old '55 Ford pickup hit that back road towards that shack, the whole scenery changed. The sound of wings fluttering towards the trees where they'd sit and wait for him to get out. He'd get out of the pickup with a old WWII green wool blanket over his head, lunch pail under one arm and hauling ass to the backdoor. Us kids didn't dare laugh because grandpa's pimp hand was strong. 😅 Family laughs about it today and whatever he did to piss off ravens is lost to time.
