Just a week in a dark place with a monster trying to kill him, you know... im sure he's fine.
He's just late into teenagehood, I kinda had the same clash with my friends as I was the childish one.
@W Yes he did. His flashbacks in Season 1 show his Dad being a uberdouche. They aren't financially well off (Joyce and Jonathan both work) and he gets bullied for being a nerd at school. D&D with his friends was his escape and friend time so not having that with the changes of puberty, friend dynamics changing (girlfriends being added to "the group"), and the trauma of not only being upside-downed, but then being an alien slug carrier, possessed by the shadow monster, being forced to spy, and having a heat-treated exorcism performed made for a pretty shitty childhood.
Tad Cooper and he was going through the visions and things in season 2 for a year
Someone pointed out that Will may have found out that Joyce was planning on moving so he EXTRA wanted to spend time with the gang

Noah Schnapp and Dacre Montgomery blowing me away with incredible performances this series. Stunning.
Tad Cooper Fair, although I thought Millie Bobby Brown was outstanding in series one, although speaking 246 words across 8 episodes.
@@davidrandall3978 She had to show a much larger range of nonverbal emotion in S1 than Will did this season though. And imo much more convincingly. I think Millie and Dacre were the stars this season.

When Will destroys Fort Meyers was basically a metaphor for him destroying his childhood. It's really sad especially when you consider all the crap that's happened to him.

Love Dacre's performance of Billy this episode and season in general, loved s3 a lot too
Robin is awesome but let's not forget that Steve was the one who realized and draw attention to the fact that the code came from Hawkins, without his connection she would not have figured it out everything, and without Dustin's recording and desire to investigate the whole thing, her and Steve would still be bored to death scooping ice cream, so the team depend on each other really
And without Erica they wouldn't have gotten in.
I feel for Will so much in this episode. He knows he's moving. He hasn't told his friends, he just wanted to enjoy one last normal summer with his friends before he left. You can tell it's getting to him.
They never confirm he knew about the plan to move.
That scene when he tore down his hut was so sad.

The main reason to why Will is kinda childish and wants to do kid type things is because he kinda never had a childhood. He was kidnapped by a monster, was possessed by the monster etc, its actully kinda sad
Dutch Van der linde I don’t know if it’s that he “never” had a childhood. He wasn’t kidnapped/possessed for that much time. He had a good childhood before that, and even while he was kidnapped and possessed, the other kids didn’t have a normal childhood either, so it’s not really all that different for him in terms of how much time he had a good childhood for.
What I do think it is, is that Will just went through a higher level of trauma than any of the other boys, and he wants to escape from the memory of it by getting back to the good times he had before, to feel a sense of normalcy again. He DID have a good childhood and he wants to get back to it.

The Will scene is so freakin underrated. How the hell did they just leave that behind after this episode?!?!
I always thought the reason Will wanted to play D&D and other stuff was because that was a time when he was happy and normal and safe. With old feelings of the upside down and the mindflayer coming back, it scares him. And being with his friends and playing helps him be in control and trying to cope.
So many great scenes in this episode! The fallout of Will and his friends is one of my favourite drama moments of the season.
While the 'Russian spy' scene is my second favourite comedy scene! (12:59)
From this episode until the end, Stranger Things 3 becomes better and better. One of the best seasons yet and am looking forward to your next reaction.

Yeah, that was probably my favorite single moment of season three, but then Will is my favorite character.

Will just wanted to play his favorite game with his friends. He missed out on half his childhood because he was stuck in the Upside Down. Now he’s back, and no one wants to play anymore. That made the moment he destroyed Castle Byers even more heart hurting. Can’t wait till you guys get to Episode Eight!😁😭

It wasn't half his childhood he was gone like a week and possessed less than that. He is like this because he felt safe with them. Plus his family isn't well off. But he didn't miss half of it
LOL I really enjoyed this episode because it was bonkers. I was so confused when I saw Billy and Heather. That scene with Mike and Will was so intense, I really felt for Will this whole episode. I completely understand why Joyce wants to move. Her son barely survived his childhood and she just lost Bob. It's kind of why I was annoyed at Hopper this season because it hasn't even been a year and Joyce was clearly still sad about Bob's death while still being worried about her son.
Hopper is also in a heightened state this whole season. He's really scared of losing everything, with El getting older and Joyce wanting to move. He also looks exhausted.
He clearly said that.. He just wanted to feel again. He felt like he got his daughter back and he always had feelings for Joyce
To be fair, will pretty much missed out on alot of childhood while he was busy being monsternapped, or possessed. or in recovery.

The subtlety, the emotions on the face and the pain, hurt, amusement in Joe Kerry's voice are as powerful as Noah's and Dacre's power-packed performances. Amazing.

I just finished the season yesterday. By far the best and one of my favourite TV seasons of all time...
The mall is the Gwinett county mall in Gwinnett county georgia. Been there as a teen back in 1986. I live not too far from there it's a fun place if you are a 80's teen no matter what state you're from.the whole series is filmed in Georgia ! Oh my wife loves the Rob Low look of billy!!!!!

I highly recommend watching The 100 and Marvels Agents of Shield when you guys have the time. Both amazing shows each season the shows get better and better I don’t understand how they come up with some of this stuff
Don’t know if anyone has mentioned this yet but the actress that plays Robin is the daughter of Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman.
There's a lot of history about Russian and American spies during the Cold War that is very interesting. There were plenty of ways for them to be right out in the open and no one would ever know they were spies. They were good at what they did (both sides). And Russian spies was a recurring theme in a lot of stuff in the 80's. If you haven't watched the FX show The Americans (6 seasons, 2013-2018), I highly recommend it. It's dramatized fiction, but completely based in the reality of the Cold War era (especially the 80's) and the espionage that occurred during that time.

I like the way they reference a few 80's classic movies... the remake of the Blob in '88, a little bit of Fast Times, Red Dawn, Revenge of the Stepford Wives (OK, not so classic...) and others! And having a few stars of the 80s, like Carey Elwes, and Winona Ryder, helps set the tone! Your reactions enhance the experience for me! Thanks!

11 and Billy are my favorite, they really held this season, I like Steve too. Billy isn’t a jerk, he can’t control it. He acts the way he does is because of his dad, you’ll see more. Will just wanted to spend time with his friends, I mean that’s not a bad thing...I don’t like how Max influenced her to break up, Mike was only doing what hopper asked. You don’t have to take the screen off just edit it like you do.

If they can manage 5 seasons of breaking bad, 7 seasons of game of thrones and 5 episodes of Chernobyl they can last a few weeks with stranger things.
I don’t know why/how the music was on the Russian radio transmission...
They showed them broadcasting from deep in their facility, how did the music from that horse ride get on the broadcast??
There were a lot plot choices in this season that either didn't add up or were never explained. I felt like realism was kind of thrown out the window this season.
