    Very good! I stopped so many times because I was tracking our progress and it kept giving me a sense of fear like we weren’t doing enough and we weren’t moving forward towards our goals. Great tips 👩🏾‍🏫

      Her guidance is awesome. I found her trying to figure out how to help my 2 year old son, who was not talking at all. Covid forced me to quit work. Since then it has been me, him and her advice. he just turned 4 in July. He has surpassed any 4 year old my family has seen. I have now become a life long advocate of homeschooling if possible. I am so proud of him and appreciative to her.

    Beautiful smile Akeeba!
    I really enjoy your channel. I've been missing your content and this information's right on time.
    Really appreciate you giving us access to write out an actual plan for the school year.
    This is my first year homeschooling my autistic daughter. She's a musical genius and a visual learner.
    She plays several instruments, composes and sings. I'm excited to try Night's Zoo Keeper.
    Any recommendations for approaching teaching strategies through music?

    Love love love your channel!!! Hoping you can lend me some advice about homeschooling. I have a 5-year-old and he is on his next to the last set of the BOB Books (currently working on the "Complex words" set). what books would you recommend we read after this? We go to the library and check out at least 10 books each time but they are mostly books my boys want me to read to them. Also, what grade level would he be considered once he completes the BOB books series? Thank you again for all of your help.

    • @AkeebaMaze
      @AkeebaMaze  Год назад +3

      Great question! In terms of books he can read himself, Dr. Seuss books would be perfect but a lot of people avoid those these days due to his racist past. But those are books that he can actually decode. Otherwise look for decodable texts on eBay/Amazon, and on ReadingA-Z.
      If he can read the BOB books well he may be on an early first grade or late kindergarten “level”. You can test him on reading a-z to find out exactly which books he can read alone!

      @@AkeebaMaze Thank you so much for the advice. I will check amazon. Do you think if I send him to public school they would be willing to keep up and maintain his progress or would he likely be slowed down? I've also been using Singapore math level k and we are halfway through that kindergarten curriculum as well. Sorry for all of the questions.

    I am in desperate need of help I only have attempted homeschooling for about a year and a half…. I’ve had hard times because I have 5 young children 10, 9, 6 soon to be 7 and 4 soon to be 5 and a 1 year old…. Now my 3 older ones have been falling behind incredibly ever since I took them out of school… now I need like a break down on how to plan out the school year because I don’t want them to continue to fall behind…. I’ve purchased all the curriculum you have suggested…. Will you be doing a more thorough video of how a day would be for you? Or will you consider doing consultations?
