Truly... one of the greatest musicians to ever come out of Hawaii. Not just in singing Traditional Hawaiian music. He could do a great Rock...Opera... whatever! Just a pure entertainer. There are RUclips clips of Aerosmith’s, Steven Tyler, performing with Willie and other great vids. There have been very great, legendary entertainers that have come and go from my great state. This rendition reminds me on "Theme for English B'" by Langston Hughes. Like Hughes, who was addressing the belief that Black Americans are Americans, Willie is showing, through music, that Hawaiians are American's as well. They are not an exotic get away destination, they are America.
