i mounted a relatively low-spec beelink mini-pc on the back of a 27" monitor for an all-in-one desktop setup. So far - it's been great. The performance is more than enough for office tasks and some multimedia, and it's dead quiet.

Yeah, I recently bought a SER5 Max with the same, though I'm upgrading it with a 1TB M.2 Gen-4 SSD, 64GB RAM, and a Seagate 2.5" 2TB SATA HDD. I'm putting Win 10 Pro 64-bit on it, though -- not using Win 11, and will have it blocked in the Local Group Policy. As far as other software, I'll have MS Office Pro Plus 2019, Corel Painter 2022, and Corel Paintshop Pro 2022, which I currently run on my Acer Aspire 5 A515-43-R19L with 32 GB RAM, 512GB M.2 Gen-3 SSD, and a Seagate 2.5" 2TB SATA HDD. I figure the Beelink ought to handle my digital paintings (some get over 500MB in size) better than my laptop. 🙂
Why does no one go into detail about the fan noise? They always mention it ... but never discuss it properly. You say turn down the RPM ... but to what? Becareful of what? I have no intention of gaming ... just need a solid computer for heavy multitasking and light video editing. How bad is the fan noise? Is it disgusting? Bareable? Annoying? Not as bad as people make it seem? Will video editing cause it to run at high load?
Because no matter what we say - it is a personal opinion. Some people may find it annoying, some people - not. For some folks the fan may work 90% of the time at max because of the websites they visit, for some others - it may stay cool all the time because they prefer colder temperature in the room. So - that's why. The fan is in my opinion well tolerable.
Thanks for the reply. I ordered the SER5 Pro with 32G and 1 TB of Storage, but Beelink's Amazon listings are messed up so they may just send the MAX version. I'll update my comment about fan noise when it gets here.@@TechMishka
I saw a lot of reviews on this mini pc but lack a review on the status of heat after like gaming for 1 hr on different resolution and graphics settings. Better if you can make one.
Nice mini pc with proper upgrade option for storage(m.2 and sata), ram and wifi, the way it should be done. Not the latest gen cpu gen but more than enough for nowadays. Great review

Hi friend, I'm undecided about this and the Acemagician AM06 Pro with Ryzen 7 5700U processor and the same RAM and memory as the Ser5 Max (32GB RAM and 500GB), which do you think is better in terms of quality/price ratio? This costs 50 euros more than the am06 pro.

Good video, the only thing being a cs fanatic myself is that most players will run on comp settings (essentially all low) which will boost fps substantially on 1080p. I think having that comparison would've been good. i've seen people get upwards of 100+ fps
