Best line in the movie.
Get up you son of a B$#&h!! Cause Mickey loves you!!
Fuck yeah! Hate Rocky 5 as much as you like but if you watched all the rest and you liked them... you're obligated to watch it for this line right there!
@@michaelhoule9649 Yessssss!!
@@michaelhoule9649 Yessssss!!
This film is incredibly underrated.
It´s the most hated yes. For me, it´s not better than the previous four but... I still liking it!
@@alexp601 I think it’s rated just right
I find Rocky 3 to be the weakest of the movies, personally
Pretty much every scene in this movie works and is high quality. But as a whole, it falls apart at the end.
@@GabeGX I disagree
My ring's outside.
"Hey you knocked him down, why don't you try knockin' me down now?" - YES!!!
Such a badass line
And his memories of Mick. "Get up, ya sonovabitch, cuz Mickey loves you!"
I was 21 when this came out. In my 50s now. Music & movies always make me nostalgic. This one does it every time. I miss the 80s&90s
And Rocky Balboa-Rocky 6 ,and Creed 1-2.Very good film.
I’m guessing you’re a “I didn’t like Creed 3 because it didn’t have Rocky despite being rated better than a majority of Rocky films” person.
Glad she's continuing with the Rocky movies and didn't listen to the "Rocky V sucks" people. Honestly, I think all of the Rocky and Creed films are great.
Stallone rated this movie a zero.. but its still important to watch in the grand scheme of things
@@tstumpf75 Yeah, I know he's pretty hard on #5. His standards are probably a lot higher than mine though. I'm a simple fellow. 😁
Well as a series ender Rocky 5 sucked. It works better with Rocky Balboa closing out the series.
@@tstumpf75 Not anymore he doesn't. In a 2020 Facebook Live watchalong of "Rocky," Stallone said of V, "I think it's underrated." So let's stop spreading around that "Stallone rates this movie a zero" thing now.
@@jjlloyd8017 Rocky V does suck. Awful movie, it never should’ve been made.
This one is one of my favorites. Rocky suffering from brain damage loses everything he worked hard for. A young fighter comes forward and he betrays Rocky. This is not a boxing match. It is in the streets!
Tommy Gunn is played by real life heavyweight champion Tommy Morrison, who much like the movie, was a talented fighter who got too caught up in the lifestyle and made a lot of wrong choices which led to destroying his career and then his life. He died from AIDS both broke and broken.
still known for his "the deadliest left hook in boxing history"
@@Metzwerg74 his left hook was legendary. I remember watching one of his fights that he ended with the first punch.
All the Rockey’s are great!!! Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!
I like how the ending tied into Rocky’s past as a collector for a loan shark, plenty of street fights
Was stupid though that he couldn’t get any advertisements or sponsorships because of his criminal record….if that was the case 90% of boxers wouldn’t get any extra work
Anyone who is invested in the character of Rocky will love all of the movies. It's so fascinating to see Rocky grow and develop as a person from a young man to an older man and to see the way he handles the challenges of life.
His philosophy of how to respond to life and it's hard knocks is so inspirational.
I think that you will like the next Rocky as well because you have also become invested in the character. A word of advice about the last Rocky movie: have some tissue at hand because it will make you cry.
Greatest movie series of all time. Love watching reactions of people watching it for the first time.
This movie was fun … that’s all it needed to be. If the Roman numeral V is in the title of the movie … any movie … it being fun and enjoyable is a victory.
*Paulie/Burt Young* was an actual Boxer when he was in the Military
*Tommy Gunn* played by *Tommy Morrison* was a up & coming Boxer who Won the *WBO* Heavyweight championship in *1993* retired in *199* after testing positive for *HIV* then died in *2013* of *AIDS*
Even Mike Tyson didn't want to fight the guy. Tommy was a wrecking machine!
deadliest left hook in boxing history....
@@RichardM1366 RUclips keeps taking down my link but don't start rumor BS had Tommy not contracted HIV they were to fight. After Tommy lost to Lennox Lewis he signed with Don King for 3 fights he was supposed to fight Weathers then after that get Tyson. But he tested positive after the weather's weigh in & never fought
I've been watching so much Coby lately, I had to remember to subscribe. You got me with the Rocky binge so can't miss the rest
The closing credits for this one, A++! Perfect song with great memories.
The Black sheep of the series, but not as bad as it's reputation.
It’s funny how many of the original fans that grew up watching the Rocky movies didn’t care much for the 5th one, but now as decades have passed, there’s a new generation of fans that feel different about this one and gained some popularity. I’ve noticed that with other movie series as well.
its just because of people watching reactors watch the rocky series
I think a large part of it is we saw them as they came out. Rocky 5 came out and it was just another sequel at that point. It didn’t live up to our expectations. That said, I’ve always said it’s the worst Rocky movie but that doesn’t make it a bad movie. It’s still good. Just not as good
In every fight once Adrian yells "Rocky!" From the crowd the opponent is done for 😂
I've learned to enjoy Rocky V.
Robert learning from Paulie is pretty interesting if you remember that Burt Young was a real life professional boxer.
I'm with you, Coby. This wasn't the best of the franchise, but I maintain that there's no such thing as a *bad* Rocky movie. You still have the same lessons on the strength of family, perseverance, and getting up after you take that last hit.
Coby, I always enjoy watching you react to movies. Your enthusiasm and the way you get into the characters is fun. I can tell you just like movies. And your knowledge of different actors and actresses always blows me away. A lot of times I have no idea who they are and you’re saying their names and I’m just not familiar with them except by face. Keep up the good work.
I’m going to watch this, even though I’ve always been a Rocky V sucks guy. I’m hoping your enthusiasm will help me appreciate it in a way I never did. I figure, if it still sucks, well at least I only sat through 37 minutes of it this time around lol.
"I didn't hear no bell..." - Randy Marsh
It's always amusing seeing reactors state they're not into boxing when they start their Rocky journey and then get so into the films 😅
You’re awesome! Keep up the great reactions
3:14 It was his real son Seargeoh in Rocky II, and this time it's his older son, Sage.
stalone's greatest skill has always been writing. he just seems to understand how to get to the audience.
your reactions are just the best. thanks for sharing them.
Stallone originally wrote Rocky to die in this film while fighting Tommy. He realized this character is about hope not tragedy. And hence he wins. Rocky is there to inspire us all to be our best!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
His son only played Rocky JR in this movie. Sadly he passed away like five years ago because of drugs. His son looked just like his mother.
Sage passed away in 2012, not long after his dad had finished Expendables 2.
Sad facts , Sage Stallone past a few years ago from coronary artery disease. He was 36 at the time. RIP Sage
Great reaction🙂🍻
Hi Coby, great reactions to this one👍.
a little light to the day when there's a Coby reaction. Rocky being broke was a bit forced considering he could have done commercials, autograph signings and an autobiography tour.
this is my favorite Rocky... "my rings outside."
Sage Stallone was primed to become a big time horror director. He directed a short film you can watch here on YT called VIC. He was a gifted guy like his pop.
Hard to believe Sly and Talia are the lone survivors of the main cast of this entire franchis Rip Tommy, Sage; Burt. Carl etc.
I was only 4 years old when I saw this in the theater with my dad…I don’t remember much but I def remember being in the Theater for this
Sage Moonblood Stallone (May 5, 1976 - July 13, 2012) was an American actor. He was the eldest child of actor Sylvester Stallone.[1][2][3]
Talented Mr Ripley - incredible
Another great reaction, can't wait for you to react to Balboa and the creed movies!!!
So glad you’ve taken the time to watch the Rocky movies. They really are inspirational. You are really going to enjoy Rocky Balboa. Hope you don’t mind me saying so you’re such a pretty girl 😃
As I’ve grown I realize we said this movie sucks cause this guy we came to love and identify with made it to the top of the mountain and lost it all and I think we just hated that. But now that I’m really looking at it, it’s a great movie in its own right.
mostly because of the 90s hiphop
Fun Fact: the bully that gets beat up by Rocky Jr is one of the guys from ENTOURAGE
Great Reaction Coby This movie feels more like the first 2 Great performance for Stallone's real life son Sage who sadly passed away later in life
Tommy Morrison (January 2, 1969 - September 1, 2013) was an American professional boxer and mixed martial artist
I think the hate really comes from the fact that, for a long time, this was the last Rocky movie. As a finale to the Rocky series it’s VERY disappointing, but now we have Rocky 6, which is a great finale, so I think people are much more accepting of Rocky V
By unpopular opinion, I loved this movie. Doesn’t hurt that I was a huge Tommy Morrison fan. Yes, he was really a boxer. Was was considered the Great white hope. Even had eyes to fight Tyson. But unfortunately his lifestyle took a bad turn and eventually he died. Great reaction! ❤️🤘
Happy Belated Birthday Coby!
Rocky 5 may not be the best, just like Star Trek 5, but there are some great character moments in both films that have become more appreciated over time. Plus, the story change of direction in Rocky 5 really sets up Rocky 6 and the Creed films. And yes, after Rocky 6, the three Creed films are direct sequels to the Rocky movies and are fantastic. I love the newer Creed movies as much as the Rocky movies that I grew up on.
Wow! As a Trekkie & a Rocky fan, I've never made the "ST 5 & Rocky 5" comparison, but, it makes sense. Especially how the 6th movies of both franchises took it up a notch & ended things.
*#RIP** (Carl Weathers Fen 2nd 2024 he was 76)*
*#RIP** (Burt Young Oct 8th 2023 he was 83)*
*#RIP** (Sage Stallone July 13th 2012 he was 36)*
*#RIP** (Burgess Meredith Sept 9th 1997 he was 89)*
You forgot Tony Burton (Apollo’s trainer, then Rocky’s) - Feb 25, 2016 (he was 78)
@@gooseman_xAnd Tommy Morrison
Hello, let's go to the 6, then The Creed Saga...I think you gonna love it !
I'm glad you watched it (I like it but it's hit or miss with fans because it's a Good Movie & the first 4 are Great Movies)
eh, id say its an ok movie because it continues the rocky story, but thats about it
@@longfootbuddy that's what I basically said it's hit or miss with fans it's nowhere near as great as the first 4 but it's not a bad movie
Saw Tommy Morrison fight on tv a few times. Very powerful puncher especially his left hook. Sadly he died of aids at 44.
Popcorn Roulette Awesome Video Today!!🔥🐐🐐💎
Hi Coby hope you are having an great and awesome day ❤
Tommy Morrison (Tommy Gunn) was a real HW boxer at this time and had arguably the best left hook of all time with only Tyson to really rival it.
11:23 Aww you didn't keep the best line in the reaction. When Vision Mickey was talking to vision Rocky in the flashback, I always get a lump in my throat, then when real Rocky says "You was the angel", the tears start flowing down my cheeks.
The BEST one of ALL!
This is very underrated. You will like it more then you thought you would huh? His son actually is in this one. Be prepared to love another Rocky. Tommy Gun (Tommy Morrison) John Wayne's Nephew. Best Boxer at his time.😎🤙
"You was the angel...."
You will cherish 6.
I'm pretty sure that the only other Rocky movie where Sly had his son in it was Rocky 2, but that was his infant son Seargeoh.
Beautiful lady and fantastic reaction ❤
Not the best ROCKY, but it keeps the stories going. BALBOA is great. CREED and CREED2 is a must, for canon continuation.
Great video, you’re awesome 😎
Keep it up 👍
Another boxing movie that is a MUST watch is "Million Dollar Baby".
I think the saddest thing about Rocky V is that I’m now the same age as Stallone was when he made this movie 😭
After a fight you feel all the pain the next day and week.
This is a good movie and a must watch in the series.
32:41 The original script actually has Rocky dying in the streets at this moment When you hear Drago's voice saying "if he dies, he dies"
Last one punch. Last one punch. Last one punch. The last punch HEY ALRIGHT
Also, I just have to add, do you know how LITTLE 20 thousand dollars is for a heavyweight world champion contender, even in 1990? Buster Douglas, a 50-1 longshot who took on Tyson made 1.3 million while Tyson made 6 million. You have to understand that in 1990, you could buy a Brand new fully loaded mustang GT convertible for under 20k. So it seemed like a lot of money to people who weren't educated. But it was not a lot of money.
Please go through all 6 Rocky movies, then Creed and Creed 2. You won't regret it!
I think she plans to.
5 is awsome!!! Always has been great. The real tragic story is tommy gunn. Aka tommy the Duke morrison..a real boxer and in his prime in early 90s. And what happend to him is sad. Very sad.
I'm glad you watched it. I commented on the last reaction saying this was the weakest but still decent. The next one is truly a great movie. Also the Creed movies are great too. Hope you get through them quick.
I liked that it broke from," in the ring", to ," the fight in the streets"...and it went back to where they began...No problem with this film ,at all.
..and
Love all the movies although so glad they did Rocky Balboa rather than finish with this one
I know this wasn't up there but please don't stop! The Creed ones are sooooooo good!!!!!
Anyone under 35 that loves these movies rates this film , if I’d seen them when they dropped I understand the hate , but as a fan that watched all these movies at 10-12 year old I loved this movie
same, this movie got poopoo'ed on for some reason but as a kid i always thought it was fine and rocko is just so awesome every time.
Love you Coby.
Rocky was a street fighter :)
The movie has an underrated subplot regarding father and son
It's not a bad movie, fans just didn't like how depressing it was. At least he ended it on a high note with his final movie. You'll have to watch that one next. In many ways this movie makes more sense after his final movie came out.
and that crappy music and shakey cam didnt help either
I think Rocky III is the best one, but Rocky V is my personal favorite.
A very watchable movie that gets too much hate.
Stallone wanted his own son Sage to play Rocky Jr. despite the age difference (Rocky Jr. seems considerably older than he was in the previous movie) for sentimental reasons. This was supposed to be the final movie in the series, though there would eventually be one more Rocky movie because Stallone was ultimately unhappy with Rocky V, as well as a series of Creed spinoff movies.
Ye, sage Stallone rip man, Rocky's son in real life, sly is a gem.
Tommy Morrison is the great nephew of John Wayne who's real name was Marion Morrison.
I saw you were on ❤❤ me some Coby
Fyi the actor who play Paulie Burt Young Rip was actually a really good boxer in his youth.
Yay, more mommy coby reactions
When you have the opportunity, you should watch "Rocky vs Drago" which is Stallone's director's cut. An alternate cut of V does exist, I've seen it, but I really can't remember the differences. I've only seen it once.
Such a awesome reaction Beautiful rare lady ♥️♥️ l love ur reaction 🎥🍿 a Rocky classic movie 🎥 I hated the character Duke just a jerk he reminds me Don King 👑 loll 😂😂😂 I liked when he knock Duke out too lol 😂 👊✊ bl wanted to punch him out too lol 😊
This movie is my second favorite Rocky movie after 4, never really cared for 1-3
RIP Sage Stallone
Don’t let people tell you to only watch Creed 1-2 and not Creed 3. That’s like saying to skip Rocky 5. I loved all three Creed movies and alongside the Rocky series.
glad you watched it a lot of people say to skip it but it still a good movie just not as good as the others
Estou ansioso para ver sua reação a Rocky Balboa (2006) e CREED.
