- Lords and ladies, I give you: Chateau de Bourneau. Please leave your sunshade at the door.
Erin Choa and Jean-Baptiste Gois, like many 30-somethings, were ready to purchase their own property. When faced with the egregious cost of buying a flat in London, they decided to expand their options. As it turns out, buying a French countryside chateau is a “bargain.” The couple purchased this gorgeous and deeply historic building and got to work. With the goal of living in the space as well as renting out private rooms to guests, they are living a renaissance-core dream.
This lovely estate is packed to the brim with medieval history. It was built by early feminist Jaquette de la Ramée in the 1400s, and unfortunately fell into ruin during the French Revolution. Though Choa and Gois have done loads of renovations and upcycling, the manor still holds many of its original pieces. They have successfully toed the line of holding its original charm and updating what is necessary. Their work is never quite complete. But, in the meantime, they get to live in an actual fairy tale.
Relocated is a series from Bustle that features bold individuals who leave the beaten path behind to live a life by their own set of standards.

Is Chateau-core a thing? It is now.
Just pointing this out in case no one noticed - the thumbnail says this is medieval. It confused me before clicking.
Grand looking Chateau de Bourneau , what makes it more beautiful , knowing the history and built by a woman in the year 1400's. Fierce! You are both beautiful and lovely couple.
Hello, how lovely to see you both again. I think we first saw you on another channel/wedding preparations. Your Chateau and decoration is sublime! Not overcrowded, not overwhelmed by printed fabrics of clashing, upholstery, designs. I am excited to see more videos of the work you have achieved and ongoing projects. I hope you have a grant for the restoration of your Chateau and your RUclips channel is mega successful. See you both soon. Xxxx 😘
So good to see you again! And to see the progress on the renovation. Beautiful! I especially love the French blue bedroom with white trim and the gorgeous mirror in the bath. Well done!
Looking forward to more chateau adventures.
Thank you all for sharing your home with us!
Well that's an eye opener! All the youtubers that are buying and renovating château are not really talking about the cost of renovating or ongoing cost of maintaining them.
You do have a beautiful chateau.
Love your chateau! Saw it first on Chateau DIY. Please make more videos! you're a great couple!
I wish you guys had a RUclips channel ❤
10/10 would sign a petition for this
This couple work for a living and don’t expect patreon to pay their bills unlike so many Chateau channels….
Lovely chateau! Thank you for sharing!
Your chateau is beautiful thank you for sharing
Que lugar magnífico! Parabéns pela atitude e coragem!
I think Bourneau is my favorite chateaux of all. Fairy tale.

Missed your Vblog. Got to see your reno in Dick & Angela Strawbridge, Chateau DIY?
Love your channel, not sure about the name?! Good luck with all your efforts 😁👍
I've got to commend you on "trying" to keep some character about that thing. I've seen others to which the way they were restored? 🥴 it's defeatist. I saw the realtor video for this too just before. Thanks for the insight on these things and it is nice! I adore that renaissance style. Nobody in my village as I call it gets that.
4.21 minutes into this video, almost at the end, Erin is operating a machine, I hope it is a floor sander, if it is I would love to know the brand and model, because it looks small and hopefully affordable. We have a number of rooms that need sanding. Thank you and keep enjoying your home which I'm sure must be one of the most beautiful chateaux in France.
I miss seeing Erin and JB’’s videos
I very much like your château and your lifes adventure, ours is similar on a much much smaller scale and not far from yours, the little pic on the side is our home, I still want to know how well did sanding floors with the wall polisher go. I am also curious about the moat, ours has a lot of mud in the bottom. I trully admire you for taking on the extreamely difficult job of rebuilding the moat wall. Best wishes.

Would have loved to listen to this vlog. But he music over the vocals was a no no for me. I have a hearing disorder which does not allow me to differentiate between music and vocals. Not so enjoyable to watch whilst trying to read the CC's. regards
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
How much is completed in your chateau??
Do they rent it out for weddings?
Yes
😎
Why can’t I find you RUclips
Please start a utube channel 😊
What happened to you utube
I get that they dont have money to put into expensive decor, but they also got no taste. The interiors are so middleclass british
Have you seen any more of the chateau than this short little video? It's actually stunning and very appropriate decor for a.French chateau.
