With the “no spaceship to go home with” my headcanon is that Optimus came on a ship, but it was destroyed by the decepticons at some point, which is why he was looking for transit in the rotb deleted transit fight.
Actually how exactly do we blame RotB for that? Bumblebee only showed us single use pods and showed that's how most of the Autobots got to the planet. Obviously that's how Optimus would get there too. If anything is wrong with RotB it's that Scourge was shown to have a multi use ship, and presumably the other Terrorcons too, and they're just laying at the bottom of the Hudson river now.

Saw it happen in the Bayverse where the Autobots built the Zanthium, but in that they were collaborating with humanity.

Hasbro already sucks at making G1 triple changers at leader price, but at least with them the alt modes have a shit load of kibble to work in the other mode with. Shatter and Dropkick have perfectly seamless car modes and perfectly seamless aircraft modes and then the robot modes have 1/3 of the alt mode parts on them at most with only Dropkick actually getting enough substantial parts to make it work. I get it's frustrating but at this point I really can't blame the designers for looking at the designs and being like "You're fucking kidding me, no way in hell are we actually making viably priced triple changers of these that aren't completely shit" cause they could barely make the car Shatter design work.

To be fair the Thermal Weaponry was always a joke because it it's just BS. The weapons they had in the movie do not do what they said they do... Like in the most profound ways possible they don't do that. Sabots are not heated... In any way. Saying a Sabot is super heated is like saying "This Spoon Shoots Lasers Right?"

If it's a mode meant for speed then why isn't it aerodynamic and where is literally any method of propulsion or control? Bumblebee turned into a mode meant for speed, it has wheels and even things that look like thrusters. The seekers turned into things that fly, they had wings and things that absolutely are thrusters. Been playing the Cybertron games, all Cybertronian modes, and all of them have parts that visually display function. You can't just fold a robot into a brick then claim it's somehow a high mobility mode. Soundwave looks exactly as much like a vehicle as the Ravage thing that you can't even properly fit inside because it always pushes the back panel out.
What's funny is that I don't think Optimus ever had the tear drop shaped feet until the Bumblebee movie. Even the Beyverse movies had Optimus with Square feet.

I mean sure they were G1 accurate but Soundwave’s alt mode makes it hard to like the figure that I sold it away after a year of owning it. I actually prefer the Bayverse Decepticons cause it is fitting, to have a cartoonish and colourful Autobots facing off monsterous and dark coloured Decepticons

I could never understand what’s the hype about Arcee’s rotb design people saying she’s hot. It’s a good arcee design, minus the fact that she almost looks like she turns into a small car in robot mode, but she’s not all that much of a big deal. Otherwise I think people just did it for the memes like how people call Optimus sexy.
Now this was a pretty damn fantastic roast as a whole, but for some reason the Shatter segment has me cackling like a yandere school girl who just took senpai's friends hostage with demands that Senpai do a rom-com grand gesture confession of feelings for her.
Rise of the Beasts has the writing on par with Bay if not worse. In Bumblebee the Decepticons didn’t even need a ship at all. They travel from planet to planet with their own body. Only the Autobots were traveling in escape pods and it’s probably because they need faster vehicles to not be traced by the Decepticons who are all high speed jets. Even the Terrorcons in the same movie didn’t need a ship to travel through space and time to an alternate Earth million years ago in the past. Those idiots at paramount are just so obsessed with Baytimus psycho Prime they needed him back somehow therefore they add the “we have no ships and we need to go back to Cybertron” to give Optimus a reason to be a dick. Even at the start of ROTB they showed the Maximals have a ship big enough for not just 4 Maximals in the movie but apparently a few more Maximal troops off-screen. The Maximals had no use for it later on and all they have to do is give Optimus their ship and destroy the key so Scourge wouldn’t be able to track them. And where the heck are the other Autobots ? There were atleast 7 arrived in BBM and there are only 4 in ROTB beside Prime and Bee. Optimus even rallied them with the “Calling all Autobots” and only 3 appeared. Assblo later appeared in Mexico so I guess they’re trying to say the Autobots are scattered across the globe so they couldn’t be at one place at the same time but then you mean to tell me there are only 4 Autobots in the entire States ? And why the hell wouldn’t they show up when their leader was announcing they finally have a way to go home or even when he was fighting a planet and needed more soldiers than ever ? Did they intentionally want to stay on Earth so they simultaneously ignored their own leader ? The writing of this movie makes even less sense than Bay but people are eating it up like it’s the greatest story ever in TF history.
I wouldn't say worse, but it's definitely on par with the Bay Films. I do have to wonder how the Terrorcons Traveled through time considering they needed the Transwarp key for that. But yeah the whole movie doesn't make sense.
to be fair, I never liked dropkick's design from the bumblebee movie, it felt confusing that he's also a triple changer and also had a car mode just like shatter. His 2007 self was recognizable and had a chevy pickup mode that gives him an advantage of not being able to stand out from other pickup trucks in order to blend in. Sure, 2007 dropkick may have a giant decepticon logo in vehicle mode but at least he could be mistaken for a customized pickup
Isn't the point of a triple changing is to have 2 modes? Regardless if one of those modes is a car or not?. You're acting like dropkick shouldn't had a car mode because shatter already had one despite the two of them had different flying alternative modes
Would've been funnier if you pointed out the parts some of the designs share as they were made last minute for the movie. Example: shockwave's/optimus's thighs. Arcee sharing few parts with shatter.

The BB movie designs were top tier designs. Although I do dislike ironhide and ratchet's face it just looks creepy I mean look at their mouths it's just a straight line that is close to their chin. ROTB just dumbs the designs down. For instance Optimus is missing the red parts on the side of his torso and it's just distracting IMO.
The weirdest character design decision in this movie to me are the two lady Transformers feet. Why do they have toes when everyone else has robot boots? Also, why do they only have two toes on each foot?

Nah, somehow Cybertrons computers are still based on Magnetic Tape, so they are just cassettes.
I think at this point they're just shapes for storage, like RiD 15' where all the minicons just turned into random shapes and stuff.

I think I’m the only person who likes Soundwave’s alt mode. It feels like it could glide around and ruin lives like a Wraith in Halo. Like he’d drift around you as he shoots you in your eye sockets and laughs

Part about infantilizing Bumblebee is on point as after becoming mute dude is written like a pet, even when he is on unonown planet he should have enough brainpower and training to know what NOT to even attenpt to do
There is front landing gear on the lower torso of Shatter's body. It looks like the landing gear will pop out before even transforming, trapformers, and I'm going to let you imagine that

I could never understand what’s the hype about Arcee’s rotb design people saying she’s hot. It’s a good arcee design, minus the fact that she almost looks like she turns into a small car in robot mode, but she’s not all that much of a big deal. Otherwise I think people just did it for the memes like how people call Optimus sexy.

Now this was a pretty damn fantastic roast as a whole, but for some reason the Shatter segment has me cackling like a yandere school girl who just took senpai's friends hostage with demands that Senpai do a rom-com grand gesture confession of feelings for her.

Rise of the Beasts has the writing on par with Bay if not worse. In Bumblebee the Decepticons didn’t even need a ship at all. They travel from planet to planet with their own body. Only the Autobots were traveling in escape pods and it’s probably because they need faster vehicles to not be traced by the Decepticons who are all high speed jets. Even the Terrorcons in the same movie didn’t need a ship to travel through space and time to an alternate Earth million years ago in the past. Those idiots at paramount are just so obsessed with Baytimus psycho Prime they needed him back somehow therefore they add the “we have no ships and we need to go back to Cybertron” to give Optimus a reason to be a dick. Even at the start of ROTB they showed the Maximals have a ship big enough for not just 4 Maximals in the movie but apparently a few more Maximal troops off-screen. The Maximals had no use for it later on and all they have to do is give Optimus their ship and destroy the key so Scourge wouldn’t be able to track them. And where the heck are the other Autobots ? There were atleast 7 arrived in BBM and there are only 4 in ROTB beside Prime and Bee. Optimus even rallied them with the “Calling all Autobots” and only 3 appeared. Assblo later appeared in Mexico so I guess they’re trying to say the Autobots are scattered across the globe so they couldn’t be at one place at the same time but then you mean to tell me there are only 4 Autobots in the entire States ? And why the hell wouldn’t they show up when their leader was announcing they finally have a way to go home or even when he was fighting a planet and needed more soldiers than ever ? Did they intentionally want to stay on Earth so they simultaneously ignored their own leader ? The writing of this movie makes even less sense than Bay but people are eating it up like it’s the greatest story ever in TF history.
I wouldn't say worse, but it's definitely on par with the Bay Films.
I do have to wonder how the Terrorcons Traveled through time considering they needed the Transwarp key for that.
But yeah the whole movie doesn't make sense.
to be fair, I never liked dropkick's design from the bumblebee movie, it felt confusing that he's also a triple changer and also had a car mode just like shatter. His 2007 self was recognizable and had a chevy pickup mode that gives him an advantage of not being able to stand out from other pickup trucks in order to blend in. Sure, 2007 dropkick may have a giant decepticon logo in vehicle mode but at least he could be mistaken for a customized pickup

Isn't the point of a triple changing is to have 2 modes? Regardless if one of those modes is a car or not?. You're acting like dropkick shouldn't had a car mode because shatter already had one despite the two of them had different flying alternative modes

Would've been funnier if you pointed out the parts some of the designs share as they were made last minute for the movie. Example: shockwave's/optimus's thighs. Arcee sharing few parts with shatter.
I might have been able to do something with that. But nothing came to mind.

The BB movie designs were top tier designs. Although I do dislike ironhide and ratchet's face it just looks creepy I mean look at their mouths it's just a straight line that is close to their chin. ROTB just dumbs the designs down.
For instance Optimus is missing the red parts on the side of his torso and it's just distracting IMO.
The RotB Designs were an absolute Downgrade, I far prefered these ones.

The weirdest character design decision in this movie to me are the two lady Transformers feet. Why do they have toes when everyone else has robot boots? Also, why do they only have two toes on each foot?
I mean in the first several movies Optimus had toes too.

from the bee movie designs i only liked the seekers+blitzwing, arcee, dropkick and shatter, absolutely nothing else, seen on screen, and only like concept megatrons ROBOT mode
Shatter and Dropkicks designs ruled. Personally, I think it was all flawed, but I did find it to be an Improvement over the previous movies.
