The D-Tect 200 gives me very inconsistent results on drywall (plasterboard). Sometimes it shows live wires and going over it again, they disappear. It's really frustrating. Same thing happens with metal and even wood studs. I even updated it to the latest firmware, but doesn't make any difference. I got it 1.5 years ago and haven't being able to use it at all...
why did you guys not show the Water leaks detection on a wall??? to detect leaking pipes. We need a video t] that showcase how to use it for water leaking in the drywall.
My D-tect 200 is about to be delivered. I decided to go for it since I just bought a house that was built in the 70s and I have no idea how things are routed behind the walls. It'll be interesting to watch a dedicated demonstration of the D-tect 200 C using an actual wall. Great video Thanks
If you notice at the live wire detection between the gsm 120 vs dt120 and dt200, (dt120+200 are very close between them) they are far away from each others detection. GSM looks more accurate to have the main wire going straight up the plug/switch the other two look off center relative to the plug/switch
I have a Bosch D-Tect 200 model and it's completely unreliable for detecting live 240V wires in concrete at 3-5 centimeters deep. It gives false positives and false negatives 90% of the time.
same. Having a scenario with two rather close cables i think it has problems with differenciating between the one without current and the one with the magnetic field and electricity flowing. It could basically think, that it is one thick cable... It connects the magnetic field to the wrong metal so to speak.
No preparations on what to detects on wall. Should have prepared at least a wall that put metal pipe, pvc pipe and elecrical wire that can freely move at the back of the wall. Then, do the scanning and confirm what you scan at the back of the wall.. Bosch is a well known brand in the world.. I didnt expect the product explaination could be just like this..

Hello, can you show us how to update a D-Tect 200 ?
Nothing shown in demo or explanation about water leak detection options in d tect 200 ? Why ? If its not working properly as of now?
I noticed with D-tech 120 the live wire signal went away every time you ungrounded.
Great to see the tools being demonstrated
Does it recognise the same into concrete? Does the humidity count?
What is the importance of the wall type on the GMS 120?
Whats the max size of SD card for the 200c thx
Excellent video guys, lots of great information. Time to upgrade my GMS 120!

Thinking of getting one too but been burned by hyped fancy so-so tools in the past. How is it? How's the accuracy, ex. for stud edge detection?
heard its shit like everything. but still thousand times better than the cheap stuff@@yoonseo-kang
Did a follow-up video to this happen? When I click this youtube channel the video list is empty!

@@Aviqu Did you try placing your hand on the wall to see if the detection changes?
