Awesome review! Actually loves the front end - aggressive and telling people to move out of your way!! It has REAL presence, but I also agree that nobody makes the hind quarters like BMW! They have to, because it is mostly what you see as a non BMW M owner!!!
Yah I want one !! Best review on RUclips! I like the fact the North American markets have a better sounding exhaust vs the European market. I’d definitely buy one in black, Brooklyn grey or the San Marino blue! Resonator delete or some downpipes and a ecu remap will make this car the best 4 door car on the market 😎💨

I ended up in a 228i after wanting an audi convertible so bad. I am so happy I ended up with the bimmer, the car is perfection. Your review of this car has been my favorite so far, I cant believe I stuck around for the whole thing. The new grill is disappointing (I'm sure they'll figure it out soon) but I love the colorways both interior and exterior, they are so bold and beautiful. That signal green is nuts. I don't ever see myself being in the market for an M car (I simply dont need all that performance) but those seats alone makes me consider. they are so cool, i need to sit in one and see if they're actually comfy or not (ive never sat in an uncomfortable bimmer and I dont expect to) Spectacular review, you glossed over the meaningless details and really dove deep in the ones that matter
The grill look 10x better in real life. Looks better then the Audi grills 💯
@@greeko6 after getting my bimmer I don’t even look at Audis anymore lol literally don’t care lol. I guess the new grills are okay with a dark paint job. I’m still not a fan. In NY we have to use front plates so that may break it up a bit

I like the M3 more than the Rs5, personally but the RS5 is a little bit more livable as a daily driver
If you like AWD, sport back/hatch, and better daily driving then go RS5 but if you want to zip around and have fun then go M3

Love the video in terms of the details about the car. I have a 22 M3 competition on order so anything m3 comp related i wanna watch lol.
However 3 things annoyed me just from this video. Didn't watch your other videos yet.
1: When you start your sentence with, "so yes....."
2: When you start your sentence with, "you see....."
3: The constant pacing back and forth. (how many red bulls did you drink before shooting this video?)
Other than that, great content.

Ok I totally agree about the whole ZF transmission, we own a sporty bmw with the ZF 8 speed and it’s amazing! It’s smooth, never jerky, shifts lightning fast and hard… not sure why everyone complains about it not being DCT.

@@tao.l lol, I meant US infrastructures, Texas specifically. Roads here are borderline third world. Went through 5 tires and one wheel due to road conditions in 20 months with my m550 xdrive. Only Southern California and Florida roads are decent.

Great review. I still don't like the grill, but this is an all around beautiful car, even in lime green! I love the fact that it's an auto. So much more practical than a manual.

Since you are new to BMW, I'll give you a piece of info. Beamer is the name for the motorcycles. Bimmer is the name for the cars.
Imma be honestly with you, when you look at the grill long enough it’s not that bad. You really do get used to it.

Unreal car - the ZF is the only let-down. I only say this because I'm coming from a 911 and need a family car. It's the only thing keeping it from being a 10/10

The new M3 is a great car. It's now more a cruiser and not really a sport car anymore. No shame in that. Safety requirements and expanding waistlines dictate the car get bigger and heavier. I'm personally waiting to see how the new generation M2 turns out.

The power difference is the price you have to pay for the manual transmission, simple. Modern cars aren’t designed with a manual transmission in mind from the get go.
Question of the day: Are you buying it? P.S. Don’t tell anyone this, but the grill is growing on me on the full M cars. The 430 and M440, not at all. P.P.S This comes from an owner of a 2021 M340.

Finally, BMWs that looks the part. The old ones looks old cheap, limited and seriously outdated "by comparison." No offense, the old ones are decent, nevertheless.
However, let the new BMWs breathe, please! They need more cooling, not less.
This grille adds a new level of decor to BMW.

BMW made a serious error to release a car without run-flats.
BMW should never allow customer's ignorance to determine the future.
Run-flats are the highest protection in existence!
In adverse situations, there is no time to run to your trunk and get a fix-a-flat can.
Punctures and blow-out happens abruptly, in milliseconds!
Tires are critical components of your vehicle. Your life deserves the highest protection possible!
Don't be caught dead with misplaced priorities.
Leave the non run-flats to the "racers" on the tracks...in a controlled environment or during your performance driving school sessions.
It is sheer ignorance and a lack of science to think otherwise!
There are many who died with their dreams intact trying to save a few dollars more.
There are no issues with modern run-flats, because Michelin, Continental and a few others now, features a drastically more supple ride and longetivity compared to the run-flats of the old..
Automatics are by far not better nor safer.
They just have been getting more support by incredibly tasteless engineers.
Cars are not appliances and it is dangerous to design them as such.
IMTs transmissions are among the best and safest transmissions in the world. They come equipped with an E-Clutch (like with the Bosch's E-Clutch), yet BMW is too slow, thoughtless, unenthusiastic and inconsiderate to adopt the IMT Transmission/ E-Clutch as an option
What is awesome about IMTs (Intelligent Manual Transmissions), electronic intervention can be switched off. So, you can use all 3 pedals and in congested traffic relax and switch electronic clutch assistance on.
The best of both worlds have already been solved, but no car manufacturer, in America, have yet made the move to migrate to IMT Transmissions as an option.
A manual transmission can save your life in ways an automatic can not. To only have the brakes and the gas pedals as your only 2 options, is an accident awaiting to happen. A clutch is priceless.
The movement for BMW to implement a button parking brake over a handbrake, is a dangerous precedent. The parking brake button can be used in conjunction to compliment the handbrake to prevent tow-truck theft (a serious issue) , but never as a replacement. I never seen such dangerous buffoonery in engineering in my life!
Cars are not appliances!
It is clear that drugs have captured the mind and souls of today's car manufacturers

Omg I forgot no no DCT anymore lol what a waste. Its a German Dodge Charger. My RS3 has AWD and a DCT and it’s not a hideous giant plastic tank.

The front grill looks ok? i can live with that, but the rear looks like a lot of other cars nothing unique about the rear it doesn't have that BMW look that separates it from other cars. First design mistake is incorporating the license plate into the design of the car! This shows that there was no creativity in designing the rear of the car, basically its a lazy move. BMW should fire whoever decided to do that.
