2 series is the best modern drivers car by BMW! I'd rather have an M2 comp or even a 21 M240i than any old school M car! Performance overall is much better, and certainly more reliable as well!
I love his respect for the brand...clearly he’s an amg guy but a true car lover non the less. Shows an appreciation for everything that is petrol head art! Unlike the car elitist who throw a temper tantrum over every sign of change
All black satin or glossy with carbon package exterior is the one to go, and as the previous gen, the M3 is the better looking one especially because of the rear stance
I am over BMW. It is now a cruiser, not a Motorsport product. I had the 16' M3 and the rebound damping was HORRIBLE and the stability control worked against you, not with you. Moved to the SS 1LE, now that is a proper driver's car. Next up is PDK GT4 for both the performance AND the high end feel/quality.
@@RemoveBeforeRace how is it possible the 'facelifted' Giulia can still make the same great sound? Sorry but this M3 and the next C63 (45) won't match driving feel and goosebumps for me. Try to do the M3 acceleration with the windows open and see what's left from the sound.

The C63s was a closer call but the alfa just was the car for me. (After having a 5-series for a couple of years ) you don't have to be a scientist to figure out on this video the new G80 is just as quiet. I don't want one but that doesn't mean someone else can't enjoy it and like it. Buy for yourself, that's my advice.
Love an M3. No doubt this is a great car . But that grill. Never for me , never. And the M4 is an abomination from EVERY angle . M340i is the winner for me

Yeah it has grown on me. But not where I really like it but more like I grown to accept the fact that being not the best looking thing. But the more I look at it the rest of the car looks really off to me..not bad looking but really not we'll put together. The wheels being different sizes., The fact that side skirts don't look great on the car and looks too high of the ground. The wheel arches are too huge . Like it just bugs me too much and I hate looking at that car. Especially the m4 I think looks horrible. The m3 looks way better but I wouldn't wanna look at it for long. Cuz I see the previous m3 and boy does that make this new look hideous
with that grill, i thought the best colour is the matt grey but look at this whitish colour, look from your rear view mirror, you just wanna get out of d way. really aggresive look. u just know it s not a 320D behind you

I saw today the G80 and the G20 side by side. You can't even compare the looks. The M3 looks better, more aggressive, better stance, better everything. The G20 looks actually disappointingly bland.

Great review. I was super into the dark colors but this dravit grey like shade is awesome too. RBR and Raz needs to have 10x the subscribers he has. Ridiculously good and so much better than any other major reviewers out there.
People are recognizing him his hard work will pay off, i subbed to him when he had like 40-50k, now he at 250k in rather small timeframe of like a year-ish i think
A lot of people are surprized that M3 has the same face as M4... while this has been the case also for E90 and F80. For F80, maybe that was not very obvious, but for E90 getting that E92 beautiful front end, was awesome. Another funny thing, when they facelifted the E92, both E90 and E92 M3s actually kept the non facelift face. Good call. The coupe facelift ruined the front end.
I knew you'd be the only one to discuss how the front shares almost nothing with the 3 Series. Thought no one else was seeing it and that I was going mad. Awesome video as always.

AMG fan here and I own a 204 c63, Im calling it now the new c63 will not be able to compete with this, sad times. Its now got AMG power levels, lighter weight and brings with it the even better BMW handling and now a better interior to match. Also sounds pretty good too and Im a die hard v8 fan. 4cyl tho :( RIP AMG

Thanks, in Singapore, the M3 competition is listed a US$75k higher (cars are precious here) than the Alfa GQV and I do not see a justification for that price gap. Although, BMW’s badge value, especially in Asia, is undeniable.
Again, a superb review! Excellent work! My last M3 was a 4 door Evolution (P360CAN from memory) WAY back in time. But as a 63 year old dinosaur, for me sound is critically important, as reflected in my cars (SLS, 991.2GT3 manual and S63 Cabriolet). And given the specced up price of this, why wouldn’t you buy an early 991.1GT3 instead for not far off the same money, and use that for most daily driving, and get an old Golf GTI for when you need more space (less often than most think may I suggest)? As for financing them - extend mortgage at current incredibly low fixed interest rates and pay cash for cars. Just a thought.
As the owner of an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio I petitioned the BMW designers to change the "Rodent Teeth" on the front of the new M 3 / M 4 because they are ALWAYS in my REAR VIEW MIRROR and they're making me NAUSEOUS.....They replied that the kidney grille had to be enlarged so as to improve "under hood access" for mechanics as they will be there often....UGH !!!!
Whereas many enthusiasts have taken to bashing Porsche and others from moving to twin turbo rather than naturally aspirated, I appreciate your focus on the impressive acceleration that results. Complaints about less satisfying exhaust note are silly to me. My favorite exhaust sound is the one that accompanies the best performance. And complaining about turbo lag, with today's small, efficient turbos is equally nonsense to me. I'll gladly give up 0.3 seconds of initial response, in exchange for double the torque figures... AND it turns on from Much much lower in the RPM range. Bravo to both Porsche and BMW for developing such impressive performance, even with more EPA restrictions.
The G8X is more than 200pounds heavier than then F8X WTF.... That's like M5 territory. How did it it gain so much weight??? No longer a "drivers" car (at least not around the track)

But you cant get a manual in the Competition Trim. So no 510 PS or 503HP just the base car. 473hp 406tq is the only trim you can get the Manual in.

AMG fan here and I own a 204 c63, Im calling it now the new c63 will not be able to compete with this, sad times. Its now got AMG power levels, lighter weight and brings with it the even better BMW handling and now a better interior to match. Also sounds pretty good too and Im a die hard v8 fan. 4cyl tho :( RIP AMG

Similar feeling of speed and agility, surprised considering this is heavier. Alfa more rabid, but the M3 is a better package.
I think the M car is the better “car” while the alfa is more fun to drive, excited to see the nurb times

Thanks, in Singapore, the M3 competition is listed a US$75k higher (cars are precious here) than the Alfa GQV and I do not see a justification for that price gap. Although, BMW’s badge value, especially in Asia, is undeniable.

Again, a superb review! Excellent work! My last M3 was a 4 door Evolution (P360CAN from memory) WAY back in time. But as a 63 year old dinosaur, for me sound is critically important, as reflected in my cars (SLS, 991.2GT3 manual and S63 Cabriolet). And given the specced up price of this, why wouldn’t you buy an early 991.1GT3 instead for not far off the same money, and use that for most daily driving, and get an old Golf GTI for when you need more space (less often than most think may I suggest)? As for financing them - extend mortgage at current incredibly low fixed interest rates and pay cash for cars. Just a thought.

As the owner of an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio I petitioned the BMW designers to change the "Rodent Teeth" on the front of the new
M 3 / M 4 because they are ALWAYS in my REAR VIEW MIRROR and they're making me NAUSEOUS.....They replied that the kidney grille had to be enlarged so as to improve "under hood access" for mechanics as they will be there often....UGH !!!!

Whereas many enthusiasts have taken to bashing Porsche and others from moving to twin turbo rather than naturally aspirated, I appreciate your focus on the impressive acceleration that results. Complaints about less satisfying exhaust note are silly to me. My favorite exhaust sound is the one that accompanies the best performance. And complaining about turbo lag, with today's small, efficient turbos is equally nonsense to me. I'll gladly give up 0.3 seconds of initial response, in exchange for double the torque figures... AND it turns on from Much much lower in the RPM range. Bravo to both Porsche and BMW for developing such impressive performance, even with more EPA restrictions.

dude it's ISLE OF MAN green not Kyalami green :D also all 4 doors are from the normal 3 series (hence why the arches stand out a LOT). Apart from that: Awesome review as always ! :)
