Great work Adriannotch- so glad you are out there fighting these lowlifes. We need to do all we can to spare the elderly and the general public from these despicable scammers! Kudos to YOU!! You deserve the Nobel prize for keeping us safe big up brother!!!
As an American I must say, you guys are doing God's work. If only our government paid some fking attention to these problems. *Adriannotch* I am sure you've heard this enough times already but we, the honest people of America, wholeheartedly support your venture and pray that this comes to an end soon.
The lack of self awareness that plagues these scams are astonishing... If you know you're of average or below average attractiveness and someone comes along looking like a celebrity, red flags should pop up in your head. Then when they ask for money, that should be the nail in the coffin. It's like going to the strip club and the hottest stripper starts talking to you. We all know what that person wants. If you're willing to give up your money to them after all those red flags then it's hard to even sympathize at that point.
I think it's both the scammers and victims. The victim because FB warns you not to send money to anyone. Victims whether it's a romance, investment, do your diligence to image search. If you are not computer savvy don't use social media
I've known this for years, which is why I'm not on dating websites anymore. Here's a thought, go to the store or a restaurant & say hi to somebody. And for Pete's sake, why on Earth would you give money to anybody? 🤔
Join a club! Go to church! You may not meet the love of your life, but at least you can meet some friends to stave off the loneliness. As for the physical aspect, there are weighted blankets, body pillows, and, er, "toys" to help with that. 😉
If people weren't so lazy to go out and meet others in person, the low life scammers wouldn't be preying on them. The chances are a lot less of getting scammed in person, though it can happen. Your mother was right when she said don't talk to strangers.
Be very careful of dating sites and apps, and especially those targeted towards elder people, they will fool you into believing someone is interested. And to be realistic, if the other person is unbelieably handful or beautiful, chances are its 100% a scam...
The scammers shouldn't play with peoples' emotions! Then when someone comes along and is interested in the person for real! Real intentions! The person won't believe it because they have been scammed!😤
The way you guys just remain humble & move behind the recommendation is how more people should move. You Adrian notch deserve it all! This Helps people see how much of an angel Adrian Notch is. I'm proud of you man. The Main reason you inspire me to help people.
What's sad and scary on a Facebook page on New York City a few of us were trying to warn others of fake AI photos. So many images on the page were not real photos of New York City, but AI generated. And a man challenged me, asking me how I knew the photos were fake? He couldn't tell and so many others couldn't tell either. While it was so obvious to others.
If you look in the mirror and you're a 5, then seek out a 5, maybe a 6, and be alright with a 4. If some 8 comes along then be very wary. Once they don't meet and ask for money, understand your being scammed. It's like some dude going to the strip club and giving all his money to a dancer he thinks likes him because she smiles and gives him attention. He bought a fantasy. It wasn't ever real. Most of these people who get scammed know something is off and it's too good to be true, but they wont accept who they are, and would reject a person who is in their scale of looks. Sorry people, but stop crying after the fantasy is over. You did this to yourself and didn't want to accept that you can no longer get younger, hotter love interests. You're missing out on great real folks that you could have good times with because you need the hottie.
This is honestly what baffles me about these scams. The photos the scammers use are of handsome, well off people. First, someone like that has to resort to internet dating? Right. Second, someone like that is interested in your working-class, middle-aged self? Sure. People would rather believe what they want to be true over what actually is true.
The problem is, some people who are a “five” actually think they’re a “10” because of their narcissistic, arrogant ego. I’m a hairstylist and I had a couple of older male clients (60’s) who were realistically not handsome men who actually thought that “NO women their age looked good enough for them,” (their actual words.) So, thought they deserved an attractive woman 20 years younger. 😖 They had that “Mirror, mirror on the wall, I’m the fairest of them all,” type of mindset, but they couldn’t see that their mirror was really CRACKED! I was on a dating site a few times and a lot of the 45+ aged men would put an age range for women to be (25-40.) One guy who was 50 actually wrote “No women over 40 need to contact me.” Again, these guys were just average-looking men, or less, thinking they were really something special and no women close to their age, or their own age, were good-looking enough for them. Arrogant, pathetic losers!!
Just turned 73. People start to slip (non-linear dementia, alz.all kinds of mental struggles). If you had told me DAD and "HIS MONEY" (he never mentiioned mom and his marriage of over 70 years) would be almost separated by a Theatre of the Absurd story, I'd never have believed you. But it almost happened.
I totally understand falling for someone, but why give money? That's a red flag. And let's say you give money once or twice, why continue to give? I don't get it. When does your comon sense kick it?
If a very handsome fit man shows interest in me thats a RED FLAG 😂 C'mon people take a good look in the mirror. Do you really think you can attract 🤔 such a beautiful woman handsome man with that face & body? Don't kid yourself

@tlmas1914 A lot of these scammers are based overseas; it's nearly impossible to find them, much less prosecute them. I think banks should be more proactive. They already have software that monitors their customers' deposit and withdrawal patterns. They should institute a voluntary program where you can designate a fraud alert contact (ie, a trusted triend or family member), and if the bank notices your account balance dropping precipitously, they can send an alert to you and your designated contact.
Canada's favourite advice handed out by it's RCMP is "it's a Civil matter" inotherwords, it's up to you to chase the guy/gal or gang in Turkey, Asian, Nigeria, Poland. Not our job.
Talking to someone online and swapping love murmurs with photos does NOT equate to "dating." The concept that you are dating someone means you go out together in person to dinner or wherever. Sitting for hours a day sending texts is just that, and to tell people you are "dating" someone is completely wrong, no matter how it feels to you. Loving someone, real or not, that you've never met, still doesn't mean you are dating them. You may care about them, but you have no idea who they are, even though they have sworn to be completely honest and open to you. Believe NOTHING they say until you meet them in person, and if that keeps getting postponed, you are being played, plain and simple. It's better to be single and alone than to be without your life's savings and possibly even your home and car because you gave all your money away to some scammer in Africa who has some basic computer knowledge and knows how to cut and paste poetry, fake pictures and tells you he cannot live without you, every day. Many of them are teenagers who have been trained how to do this stuff. How embarrassing is that? Save yourself for someone real.
Their own fault. Its wide kniwn now, first. Second, if Elon Musk asks you $150 to buy presents for his kids, or Keanu Reeves $50 to call his mom - you would think it's not true ...
How do you fall in love with someone online? I just started talking to this girl online and nobody’s saying I love you right now. It’s best for these boomers to stay away from things they clearly do t understand.

There's more men getting scammed believe it or not
Folks in real life/person can scam you too. Stay vigilant folks
Even before AI, you never know who you are communicating with on line.
It doesn't matter AI, online or real person romance, if someone ask you for money, that's a red flag especially if he/she askes a large amount.

No to online dating unless you meet that person in person.
If any man asks me for money, my answer is always...NO! I don't loan or give money to anyone online or in real life.
Fraud needs to be punished as a serious felony
Felonies don't exist in Commonwealth countries like Nigeria. Nor Poland. Nor ...... and how are you going to enforce it: they don't EXIST.
Good luck catching the scammers in China......

Then why are even attractive people being scammed? The women who went public with the Tinder swindler were attractive.
They don't ask you for money. They offer you an investment opportunity.
DO U think we should use our tax dollars to try and find the scammer? i dont

@@tlmas1914. Until they scam someone YOU care about, right?
It's OK to be single people.
Nigerian princes came before AI… 😂
the moment someone asks money from you for any reason is a total scam!
Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t have any extra pennies to send to a stranger 😂
I know right! How do these people have all this money to give away???
Rule 3: you only get scammed if you allow yourself to get scammed. And, again… these scams are not “sophisticated”
The internet is the worst place to try to meet someone. You have to meet people in person.
Tell your loved ones: if this ever happens to you, I want to know, and I won't judge you. Please don't be embarrassed - tell me.
Lovely comment
Don’t do it, ladies!! … online is the dumbest place for anyone to meet someone nowadays.

Until society starts to heal there will be lonely hearts out there to be broken.
