📌For the curious ones, here's the full list of fixes and improvements in today's release v1.3.0.
- We've made a brand new Space Creation flow to increase customization, profile selection, and delight!
- Switching Spaces will now switch your active tab to the last tab used in that Space.
- The Command Bar got a visual refresh, making you feel just a bit more speedy as you navigate.
- Google Meet PiP got an upgrade: it now offers more meeting controls, can be resized to show more meeting participants, and is more performant.
- Long-press on the Toolbar's back button will now show tab history.
- We added some light haptics when dragging a tab around your sidebar.
- We now show the tab overflow indicator while scrolling to better help you find your place.
- Moving a tab into a folder will now always "peek" the tab in the Folder so you don't loose your place.
- You can now rename a Space by simply clicking on your Space Title.
- We now only show the Incognito label in the Sidebar, rather than on top of the web contents.
- CMD Shift T and CMD Z now re-open a closed Peek, just like they reopen a closed tab.

I like it, but does this mean that the easels are dropped? I don't see any link to an easel anywhere, but I do really like to just glance over them :)
Any chance we could still get an easel version? I always prefer a written display over a video :)
I enjoyed watching the video format, but I love the easels because I remember things better when I read them. I also don't like how typing "what's new" in the command bar takes me to youtube instead of the catalog of easels. Great work though, love the update!
I loved seeing the easels each week, and today I was on a conference call when I clicked the "What's new" link expecting the same. I definitely WAS not expecting a RUclips video to autoplay!
Pros:
- I like video content in general (although I also want to see the highlight summary).
- Thank you for putting the feature summary in the video description. 🙏
Adding a sentence description on each into the video description (like the above pinned comment) - and somehow disabling autoplay OR change your "What's new" button to have a video reel icon so we know what we're clicking..
FEEDBACK: On the full Spaces page, I would like to double click on a space to be taken directly to the sidebar and window of that space. Right now, double-clicking in a space on the full Spaces page pops up the "Search or Enter URL..." pop up. A right-click on the space from which "Go to " or seeing it in the More (...) menu would be nice.
This company gets it. They let us peek behind the curtain, show us that our suggestions are heard, and are simultaneously competent and unpretentious 👏🏼
Absolutely LOVE this browser, and really big fan of watching this company grow and learning about the behind the scenes!

I have it on my Mac, but I also want to see it on Windows
I close friend of mine decided to switch from windows to Mac when he saw me using Arc.
@@lucasbiset4365 man, mac is itself for me a lot better that Windows, exactly because of window management (tautology;). But with Arc it's even better. Now I open only 2 apps: XCode(unfortunately arc can't replace it) and Arc

Man, this company is a breath of fresh air. Just sheer ingenuity combined with open, honest and constant communication with it's users, and backing their decisions with what users are actually saying. As a senior product designer, I aspire to be part of something like this!
This new way of presenting the news is so banger! Keep it efficient like this, straight to the point, in a RUclips video format, that's perfect.

The speed of these updates is really impressive. One thing I wanted to request, which you may have already discussed, is the idea of shared spaces, where a team of people can share the same tabs (maybe see which ones other people are on?), which I think would be very useful, especially as the current business model is based around company use. I think this could work in a similar way to Atom teletype, where it is hosted on the computers of the people using it, to keep it secure and mitigate the need for dedicated servers.
These videos are great. They're extremely succinct, they have useful information in an easy to digest format, and I love that you just post demos straight from all hands meetings. It feels like we're part of the process, and that's a ton of fun. It's not an exaggeration to say that Arc has been a *huge* help to keeping my work tasks orderly, and I massively appreciate the work you're doing.
Exemplary in all aspects! Stellar community engagement, remarkable pace, and I guess the secret sauce in HR dept. Congratz and here's to more resounding success! :)
I liked how the old new tab bar would blur out the background before to keep in focus, now I can barley notice it in cluttered screens

When an ad blocker is added in the mobile version or as in safari to enable other third-party applications to enable as in safari. But the best thing was how brave browser has a built-in ad blocker. Thank you very much for your work❤❤❤
Fantastic update! I read the easel every release the day it comes out and really enjoyed this video update format so much. (I've been on Arc since Jan 2023)
Even though I read the notes, I tend to skim and miss things that are cooler than I initially give them credit for. I love getting to know you guys in video and the all-hands snippet shared here is awesome. Nobody builds software like this, and this is why Arc is the best browser I've ever used. I can't believe how quickly you guys work on feedback. It's nuts. I wish everyone worked like this. No idea is too sacred to cut or go back on or fix. It's wonderful.

Been using Arc for a few months now and completely changed the way I work and the way that I use the internet personally as well. Been spreading the word, but have some around me that would need Windows to make the transition. Love the concept of creating vertical tabs/favorites arranged as tasks or research project folders bundled with notes for each. Love creating a custom dashboard with easels filled with screenshots so that I can visually be taken to resources on our company intranet that I always refer to, but aren't necessarily easily accessible with sharepoint search or a regular shortcut/tab. Kudos to you and am always excited to review the weekly updates.

Great set of updates! Fantastic work team!! I like the video format for updates BUT!!!! I would prefer if the video was embedded in the old Update Viewer because there was no warning that I was opening an auto-play video when I clicked on the See What's New link.

I just want to say that Arc has been one of my favorite pieces of new technology in the past year and has made my online life so much better, even despite the persistent bugs of the past month or so (inability to create new tabs, today tabs all moving to the pinned area of the first space).
