its been my main browser for a few months, its by far the best one i've tried (and personally, even better than safari, i dont like chrome). it supports chrome extensions, and it's way more customizable!
@@fastlife2968 If you have an m2 macbook air (like I do) then you should not have to worry about battery my friend! Those things will go 15-18 hours. They batteries are crazy. Maybe I'm the wrong person to answer this, because I don't base my tools off of battery. I use the best tool because it's the best tool. You should’ve given it a shot. I now find it less complicated than, say, safari. You’re just not used to it, but that doesn’t make it complicated. Tabs are basic file structures in Arc, which is a lot more productive and efficient in the long run.
Any video media content has insane flickering non-stop (w11, Nvidia GPU). I just can't find out for the life of me what the hell the problem is. Other than this bug, I would have switched absolutely.
Loved Arc, but stopped using it because of its aggressive RAM usage. With one or two tabs open, my system would start using swap. I use Edge as my browser now, which is far more efficient with memory usage.

It's complete garbage. I've tried it and decided to delete it after a few minutes. First, I wouldn't say I liked the feature that I had to move my cursor to the top left corner for the traffic light buttons to appear. I need the toolbar on the left to be pinned to close the browser fast when it's needed, but it takes up too much space. Also, we don't have the Arc Browser for the iPhone, so there is no ecosystem. The "boost" feature is disgusting too, it's kind of like just the profiles feature, which is also available on other browsers, but more complicated. Managing tabs is another nightmare, I should first make the left side visible with my cursor and then press the + sign and then it doesn't even open the tab before I write what I'm gonna search, like, wtf is this apple spotlight search-looking thing just to open a new tab. The Arc Browser just makes things more complicated while trying to look innovative in my opinion.
1. There is a big difference between it being “garbage” and you not liking how it’s built. 2. Traffic lights aren’t hidden by default, you can change that. 3. There is an iOS app. I’m using it right now. It’s getting a redesign soon too.
Like an understand how that would be an inconvenience for someone who is using password, managers built into Web browsers, but my response to that is, I personally wouldn’t ever save my passwords inside of a web browser. I would highly recommend using a password manager that’s third-party to the browser for that. There are always browser extensions for that functionality!
@VarunSrinivas8 abiding by the “if the product is free, YOU are the product” mantra, I would not put the final gates of my personal security castle into the hands of free password manager. I’ve used 1password for just under a decade, but recommend bitwarden for people who want to self host!

And using Arc actually made me abandon using bookmarks completely, I don’t even manage bookmarks anymore, I use a third-party app for syncing bookmarks across all personal and work devices. Idk why anyone other then video editors use imac, windows has its flaws but regular pcs nowadays are just so much better then what Apple has to offer, I get MacBooks, I myself have an iPhone, but iMacs are just silly

I deleted the browser and emailed The Browser Company so they would erase my account. It was too complicated and the account thing is sketchy as hell.
While I can't fault you for giving up that quickly because it took me 3 or 4 tries, I'm not sure why everyone is so upset with login for sync.

It's chromium so it's a little hungry but i only have 16gb on my mac mini and I rarely have issues.
I got it 3 days ago for windows, it didnt have the app picking😢

Ive had Arc for awhile but i still prefer firefox/safari. Arc feels a little too gimmick-y for me. It is indeed an awesome browser though
