18th Street was closed by the NYC Board of Transportation in 1948, after the 14th Street station was extended northward to 16th Street. 18th Street’s platforms were lengthened in 1910 to accommodate 6 cars and that was it. It was the second original IRT 1904 station to be closed as a result of station platform lengthening. It was preceded in death by City Hall in 1945; 11 years later, 91st Street would be shuttered and finally Worth Street bit the dust in 1962.
Don't think I've ever seen people explore the uptown platform of 18th street. Very impressive footage. Keep it up Must have been hard to get from union Square down to the platform since its really busy Also another station I could recommend is Myrtle Ave. Not the M line but on the B and Q line. After Dekalb Ave. (The place of Masstraniscope)
No studio I seen another RUclipsr dude the same thing before go to that stop on that station I’ve seen you RUclips videos keep it up there’s so interesting

These are all from back in the IRT days, I assume?
What camera? Great footage
You should do sedgwick Ave station along with Anderson -Jerome station in the Bronx
Sedgwick Ave has been demolished recently, so that’s no longer possible
@@RascalTrainz are you sure about that because yesterday I was there
@@ssgss_eli Really? Huh. I though I saw pictures and video of it being gone.
@@RascalTrainz yeah the actual platforms are gone but you can still easily get there
