- On this very special edition of Home Movies, we’re bringing you THREE (!!!) recipes for delicious summer salads. Think of it as “summer thanksgiving”-the three salads you’ll need for every bbq, picnic, pool party, park hang, stoop hang, etc. There’s a tangy, herby potato salad, a spicy, savory tomato salad dressed in melted anchovy and toasted fennel oil, and a tart, nutty cucumber salad with red onion and sesame. They all bring something special to the table, and we love them for it.

I have a feeling that Alison’s new “normal “ size fridge and freezer are going to look like the tiny ones in her old apartment 🤣 Its the old theory of carrying a large purse because you couldn’t find anything in your small one 😉 Am I right or am I right!?! I love her new kitchen! I think a great idea for the cabinets is to remove the doors and find ones with glass panes like the other apartment, just a thought. @@Nuisance_Bear She's going to jam a bunch of stuff into the new fridge, meaning that the inside will end up looking just as jam packed as the old one, even though it's bigger and should theoretically be more spacious. Like if a girl gets a bigger purse, she just ends up putting more crap in it, making it exactly as difficult to find stuff in it as before.

Okay Alison I have to tell you!! I made this tomato salad, had left overs, stewed them and pureed it...BEST PIZZA SAUCE EVER my husband said we should make that recipe just for the sauce! Anyway I hope you read this, or someone does and makes pizza with leftover anchovy/fennel tomato sauce!

I made the tomato salad last weekend. Sensational, everyone loved it, the bowl was wiped clean by pieces of bread. An absolute winner. Better than I imagined and I imagined it would be great. Thanks Alson
