Just stick on a couple of antennas, tint the front glass and you’ll definitely have folks moving to the right lane. In my area we even have at least 1 or 2 Mustangs in the police fleet and they use those a lot for Mustang week.
That infotainment system is huge! Nothing wrong with size that's for sure. I just wish it was better integrated. It for sure sticks out like a sore thumb
I was at my dealer having some mods done to my Tremor. They had a black 23 with the performance package that just came in. They parked it near the custom shop where I was and I got a good look at it. Everything about it flows so smooth and good looking. I'm kind of wishing I'd looked at that first. One thing I wish it had was a flat bottom steering wheel. Even when the seat is back, the wheel still is in the way of getting in and out.
I own a 2014 Expedition EL, with 133,000 mi., which I love. It certainly doesn't have the tech that this terrific-looking truck has, but what it does have is a V8. Perhaps I'm just too behind-the-times, but I think Ford made a mistake when they eliminated V8s from the Expedition, even as an option, with the 2015 model year and went solely with the turbo V6. The latter may yield more horsepower and torque, but it comes at the expense of longevity. Turbos usually fail after 130,000 miles or so and are expensive to replace. And with a 5300-lb. truck, you've got 75% of the cylinders working to move the same mass that 8 cylinders once did. It would seem to be simple physics that such an engine is simply undersized for the task and for the long haul. Prior to my Expedition, I had a 2000 Explorer with a 302 V8 which I drove for 345,000 mi. That Windsor V8 engine never had to come apart. It didn't burn any oil and it never let me down. I realize that I'm an outlier in terms of keeping a vehicle around long enough to attain that kind of mileage, but I doubt this new Expedition, as nice as it is, would ever give one that kind of return on the $81,000 investment. That said, this is a beautiful truck with some impressive performance and features. I think an all-electric Expedition will most likely be the all-around solution to both performance and longevity. Thanks for the video.
The Stealth brings out sportiness to the Expedition like the factory custom wheels and front end it looks outstanding though used to be huge Expedition fan back in the day. The interior is nice almost closed to its sister Navigator love the tablet touch screen seems easy to use I'm real good in technology so love the touchscreen at first couldn't stand it now grew on me also like the center dial as well.
Soooo.....I got tired of waiting for my F-150 Raptor to be built as its been almost 11 months, and decided before the miles got too high on my F-150 Platinum to trade it in on one of these a few weeks ago (based on your review). I love it so far. It drives a lot smaller than it is and it's pretty quick for such a large vehicle. I too zonked it for the chrome trim on the outside below the windows. I'll get that wrapped black and it should be all set.
JJ ~ me like it, it makes the Suburban look like a long box. I'm glad FORD did do a few black tasteful accents to match the overall color vibe. 440HP 510TQ 5.8 sec.0 to 60 ? yeah it's on my twelve page short list hahahaha. 81 dollars ! ? ! ? I can totally afford it, lol. interior is good - could be much worse. I think the non pinger print satin black interior surfaces is SMART & looks good. you & Lori did a great job yay - tony

Nice review Joe, love your enthusiasm! I'm watching your recent SUV reviews fishing for buyer's remorse. Not finding it, my 2022 Durango SRT looking like a decent value compared to these new 3-row rigs from GM/Ford/Toyota
Solid video as always Joe and Lori. Joe I would say the comparison would be more on par with the Tahoe rather than the Suburban. The Expedition Max would be comparable to the Suburban. The exterior looks great, minus the chrome strip and chrome accent on the wheels. My biggest gripe with the Expedition is on the interior. First thing is that the infotainment screen has to be better integrated (see the Ram). The next thing is the interior as a whole. Ford does not do enough to distinguish it from the F-150 interior imo. This interior is too similar to a F-150 Lariat. GM interiors on their large SUVs are superior to the Expedition. I still think this a great SUV, but for 80k+ there are better options out there in the large SUV segment.
Why the chrome, Ford? That grill would be killer with a word mark rather than the black oval. They also could have skipped the name on the hood, who needs that. Give them props for the dark headliner, beats the pants off Toyota and the TRD Pro trims with the light colors but I guess this line up more with the Platinum Sequoia
I have a 21' expedition max limited stealth edition, I love it but my only complaint is the 8" screen is really dated. However this screen looks ridiculous and I feel like it would be a nightmare to use while driving. Its nice to have some real buttons and knobs
Nice review as usual Joe. But, as with the other Ford full size SUVs, the exposed rear wiper and no engine cover are out of place in an $80K+ SUV. One reason why GM has a 70% market share for full size SUVs Q1 2022.
Only reason GM has 70% of the market in Q1, you couldn’t find or buy an expedition. As a buyer who’s interested in the 22 stealth package I wasn’t able to build or price one on Fords website until February/March of 2022. Q3 will be interesting to see if they still have 70%. Plus GM moved all chips over to SUV’s
A little chrome, much like a bit of a slip-sliding in a tire, never hurt anyone, but I'm old-school enough to insist that a beast this big needs a V8. But,I gotta say,you guys know how to make this stealth fighter look *goooood.*
Joe this is a Sexy Beast of the Expedition. I Remember when it 25 years ago. The Top Trim was Eddie Bauer Edition lot has Change this is the Best Ford Made
Sad thing is that suv cost 99k usd in my place also the suburban is 92k while the lc300 is 110k only that's why most people buy the lc300 instead of that, and those.
Love Ford, GM, & even Stellantis (since they still employ more Americans than the wholly based foreign brands), but this vehicle is just massive. We had a family with 5 kids & still managed to fit into a Fiat with roof rack & trailer (when needed) … these Suburban, Land Cruiser, & Expedition sized vehicles are just obscene.
Your tow ratings are not accurate. There was no change in tow rating from 2021. Your vehicle is rated at 6k as it does not have heavy duty tow package. There is no trailer back up assist or trailer brake controller on the dash. 4x4 short wheel base is 9200, 4x4 max is 9000. 4x2 short is 9300.
Am SOLD🔥🔥 COMING FROM A EXPEDITION 2020. ALL VERY SIMILAR. BUT THE DISPLAY IS INE THING THAT REALLY BEINGS TECH TO LIFE.AM GOING ALL IN THIS YESR. MOONROOF. CERAMIC WINDOWS AND COVER MY SEATS ASAP.
That's the engine they should put in the Explorer RS. That and the pancake electric motor from the aviator and your over 700lb ft. We know the 10 speed can handle it.
Everything is nice except for the brake lights looking like from pre-school kindergarten concept. Be nice if they put little emblem on top of the screen, looking like some third party just slaps that screen on it
Ford should put the Godzilla 7.3 under the hood instead of that turbo V6. They can then introduce the model by playing a piece of "Godzilla" by Blue Oyster Cult. Seriously! It needs the Coyote or the Godzilla.
Ummmm.....that info screen looks like an afterthought. It doesn't look well integrated into the interior. It looks like crap in the Tesla, and all who try to copy. The Rams looks like it belongs. Yes, my opinion i know.
No dude I agree. The screens are tacky af. Those old screens at least they were integrated into the dash. I hate that all these companies just have the screens looking like they were just stuck on there at the end. This particular 15” one on some of the Fords looks extra atrocious, not to mention the lack of physical AC controls. I like the features, but the presentation is the deal breaker for me. If I could have Sync 4 on a smaller screen that’s integrated into the dash I’d be happy.
This Ford Expedition is pretty snazzy, just don't like the same boring horn buttons and key fob. Those taillights like I said before I'm just not sold on..... Come on Ford! You can do better than that!
Is quite impressive how a vehicle this size drives and accelerates.
They should ditch the shiny trim and machined area on the wheels, add dual exhaust and just call it a Expedition ST. Nice job Joe and Lori! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
Or they could bring back the thunder and lightning name plates for real this time😎😎
Blacked out on all 4 corners. I could dig it. Make it AWD.
I usually hate 2-tone wheels, but i think they look amazing on the expedition. Those wheels alone make me wanna get one.
I agree, black on black with black calipers. Total blackout
Really like the wheels. Buying a set for my f150.
Just stick on a couple of antennas, tint the front glass and you’ll definitely have folks moving to the right lane. In my area we even have at least 1 or 2 Mustangs in the police fleet and they use those a lot for Mustang week.
The stealth fits the expedition so well.
That infotainment system is huge! Nothing wrong with size that's for sure. I just wish it was better integrated. It for sure sticks out like a sore thumb
Vertical infotainment screens are more accessible to the driver and require less reaching than a horizontal orientation.
It looks great in that paint by the way.
I totally agree with you!
@@RaitisRides Thanks
I like the infotainment system and the all digital cockpit. But for $81K the interior could look more luxurious.
I think Ford doesn't do that as they have the Navigator
True
Surprised you didn't point out that the tail lights were different from other refreshed Expeditions. As always Joe, solid review, great work you guys
Ford really needs to get on the HUD display and rearview mirror camera band wagon.

We have a couple Expeditions with 175,000 and 221,000 with no engine or turbo failure as of yet. These Eco V6 certainly far outperform the old 5.4 V8.
If this is a 'sport SUV' I don't know what sport we're playing here...

Sumo Wrestling 😂
I’m not a ford fan but this is well done!
What up Joe? Expedition time!
Ford……please integrate your center screen in the dash…..in all vehicles.
It’s not a Tesla.
Thanks Joe and Lori ! 😎

The chrome strip and any chrome on the wheels are a bad idea.
I got to sit in one of these and I gotta say, it’s an incredible ride. Amazing!
Hey Raiti's Rides Can You The 2022 Cadillac Escalade Sport Platinum
He has
I have a lifted 2020 Stealth and I'm extremely happy with it. It pops up in a few of my YT videos too. Very stylish on camera.
Its the standard 3.5 Eco correct ? This 2022 is a Stealth performance pack with the HO engine at 440 HP, different suspension, exhaust, and etc.
Nice job guys! Love the infotainment, not big on the current tend of “stack” screens. Would def compare it more to the Tahoe unless showing us a max.
Nice job with my favorite Ford SUV joe 😎
Agreed shoulder trim should be tint chrome instead of bright chrome circa 1993.
Soooo.....I got tired of waiting for my F-150 Raptor to be built as its been almost 11 months, and decided before the miles got too high on my F-150 Platinum to trade it in on one of these a few weeks ago (based on your review). Loving the suv😍

Thank you to everyone at Walker Ford!
Just took delivery of a platinum I ordered last oct. love it!
I am not even a suv guy, and I would own this. It is that badass. A good daily driver.

This is the one trim I love but for that price, I should just go ahead and get the Yukon AT4 or Denali, geesh!

Disagree, I think Chevy Tahoe interior is subpar compared to the Ford Expedition interior.
Hey walker ford! I bought my Fiesta ST and Ranger from there. Buying a 2024 Expedition Timberline from there this week!
It’s awesome great review!
Headlights look awesome
Why the chrome, Ford? That grill would be killer with a word mark rather than the black oval. They also could have skipped the name on the hood, who needs that. Nice review Joe
Any word on when we will see the 2023 explorer ?
I love it Joe and Lori and keep up the work and I love the video lot real true 👍
@Joe. I have a quick question. Is it worth to pay extra for stealth performance package?
Not fast enough, not premium enough for 81k or more, but another great review guys!

Sir tell me who is the big size car
I’m surprised he didn’t didn’t say “use these tow hooks to yank those twinkies & planters peanuts out” 🤣

Joe great review, those chrome strips on the sides & rear should be carbon fiber 🇺🇸☕️
OMG do you guys ever sleep? Another video!? The Gods have answered my video wishes 🤣
I hate the screen huge screen. I wish it had the set up like the 2022 f150.
Sounds pretty weak. The exhaust note is oof.
