38:09 Arslan said that pros often do a delayed jumping move after Dragunov's heatsmash if they wanna option select an immediate timing frame trap and the blue spark tackle. If you practice and time it right, you are able to block instead of attacking if the Dragunov plays an immediate frame trap and you're also able to jump over the tackle with your attack if the Dragunov decides to do the tackle
Inputting UB~B cancels the jump animatic but if a high or throw alike move ground-pounder trackle it even allows for swifter crouching too. I'd often used this against Marduk's,Paul tackles & Universal Running PC! Shoulder Tackle when using Negan landing Universal Jump Knuckle UF1 or his Blunt-Force UF4 (Doesn't low-crush but it is in airborne state for i4 frames)
40:48 Because the +7 FCdf14 allowed for Sidewalk to initiate the Rageart cinematic which often, bottlenecks one's actuation yet since Atif is following Mishima ruleset to SSL if he had done a SWR/SSR he would've been clipped completely as it tracks
You can also do this with moves that have built-in sidestep like Dragnov's own UB2 which was specifically designed to tackle Jinpachi shenanigans & such yet nobody uses. Negan had F2+3 Tripwire which was heavily designed for such and if he cannot sidestep at P2 side to crouch-cancel whilst also getting a lucky 124 because of camera switch favor.
I'm really excited to see how The Jon performs after his amazing victory at TGU. Hoping we can get the Double/The Jon rematch cuz I'd love to see this set get run back and see what they do differently.
If I ever played Tekken well enough to enter an offline tournament I would be immediately thrown out because I would be doing the Bruce Lee high pitched screaming with every hit.
This match-up is a nightmare. King is weak vs ling zafina shaheen and law. Shaheen and law are constantly full crouch mixing. This ducks throws at the same time apply quick pressure or a threat while aligning you with king. It also beats muscle armor and makes the king hesitate main parts of his game plan. Getting in a shove is difficult cause its ffn1+2. King is too fat to side step most of laws stuff. Then even if you do it isnt quick enough to inturpt most of his strings. Jon really is a monster with how many throws he got to actually hit. He did alot of first timing running 3 to keep him close and force a guess. He shouldve done more chest push and dick jabs. Funnily enough deadly boomerang is really good against law. It makes kings hurtbox really small. Also ss db 3. Laws usually pressure kings with high starter strings. So with a law threating slide in your face its so advantageous its crazy. You only really got 2,1. Df2 df1. Shove if its godlike fast. Df3 if you got a good read.
@voxrex3932 up close yes. Laws full crouch shimmy delayed wr moves are a pain for king and when he does a move to counter while ss up close his hurt box gets too big. You can ss but its harder then other characters. He does have a really good ss BUT he is a big body character.
Aside from the obvious Yagami comeback, One of my favourites moments in the EWC is Double's Ki-charge to rage art setup at 26:10. Legit got me belly laughing. Dude's so cheeky!
Oh, so he DID read my comment, huh? Jk, but seriously up to -6 you can just sidestep king, ducking is optional. If you know king will spam f4 on being up to +6 you can even try ss df,2 and iirc it will beat f4. But even if you DO get hit by f4 thats a poke worth of damage, no conversion and a free getup for you so if you weight risk vs reward then there's no downsides to "just ss it bro" and therefore there's also no game. And dont start this nonsence about realigning or delayed timings, we all know people smash their buttons like smash players smash restraining orders.
The issue, is that what you’re saying is a mix up in itself, and a very risky one, and yes delay timing and such is a big factor, people do it, whether you don’t or not don’t speak for other players, king is fucking good
Saying people like to smash their buttons when you have so much proof of delayed timing is crazy I routinely delay my lows because people don't risk staying crouched long
@@elegantzoom5486 delaying timing on minus is a thing? What? What are you smoking? You're already minus theres nothing to delay man. "King is good" sure cuz u said so must be true. Scrubs nowdays, man...
@ says every top player and everyone ever other than certain king players, and you actually can delay when minus, if your opponents thinks you’re going to mash you can delay your retaliation, also that wasn’t my point, king can delay his f4 and grabs, which takes away the “just side step bro” idk what you’re even arguing about. This is common knowledge in tekken

Almost spoiled lol
Imagine the jon's performance when Marduk comes back 🤯

12:18 Damn Phi, it's almost like you know what you're talking abt 🤣

King is not "too fat", he has one of the better sidesteps and can step most Law options perfectly well

We need to see some more claudio

Delay timings are common after blue ranks, I don't know what you're talking about
