I think because TL is relatively expensive compare to other countries in southeast asia. A meal at roadside food stall in TL (or we called it "warong" in Bali) would cost $3 atleast. Meanwhile you can have full day meals in Bali for same amount of money. Anyhow, TL need to use their local currency it's been 20 years since independence.
Edit: after watching this video i have to say the facilities arent good enough to warrant that price. Im sorry.
Thank you for visit my lovely country east Timor 🇹🇱😘🙏
What I learned from this video is that it's quite expensive compared to the other SEA neighboring countries but you are paying for a non crowded place where you will enjoy a laid back moment. And also to understand that you are visiting one of the youngest country that are trying to establish as a developing country and later on develop country.
Welcome to our tropical country Timor-Leste. The climate of Timor-Leste is tropical hot and humid with two seasons caused by the alternating monsoons. There is a rainy season from December to May and a dry season from June to November. Since the currency of Timor-Leste is the United States dollar (USD), everything is generally expensive compare to our neighboring country Indonesia. I hope you enjoy your stay in TL.
I’m loving it!

Really appreciate it 🙏😎💪
I hope people realise how hard Timor Leste has worked to maintain its independence with Indonesia so close… we should all visit more and help the people of TL!
😂 actually Timor Leste became 2nd the poorest country in Asia after Afganistan 😂. Timor Leste better joint Indonesia in the past. So enjoy your independence Timor Leste 💪
@@harrykumoro4335 No, better independent. Imagine: poor and with shit passport like indonesian? At least they all have the right to have Portuguese passport and live and work freely in any EU member state. Let's not talk about a lot of indonesians going to Timor in recent past to register their kids in the church to get Portuguese passport fraudulently. even after all, you guys still tried to shit on them. Luckily the government of Portugal made it more strict and need to really show that you are born in Timor.
Yes you are right
You're an aussies yeah.? Tell your gov to stop exploiting the Timorese. Did you know every Timorese students can get scholarship in Indonesia colleges as long as they apply for it? Most of their motor vehicle also come from Indonesia. It was us who support TL the most since her independence. And now we're the only country in the council who support TL to join ASEAN.

Timor's a Portuguese colonial territory, it's possible that it might end up like Brazil's high crime rates. Philippines does have high crime rates in SEA in the past but not the highest for a Spanish colonial territory. Possible for these countries could be like Latin America's deadly gangs.
We love our little brothers from Timor Leste!
Yes, you love me because you and Timor Leste are both Christians😂
Timor should be friends with Philippines as we are both Catholic majorities would be easier to unite than Indonesia does.

Beautiful country. I was in Timor-Leste eight months ago for a holiday and I was blown away by the untouched natural landscape and the friendliness of its people. Admittedly it looks greener in your video than when I went but I went in the dry season (didn't stop it raining periodically). Next time I go I want to do the eastern trip to Jaco island as well. Enjoy your travels!
Thank you for sharing your experience!
Untouched because no body wanted to go there, nothing much to see and expensive. One of the reason why it is one the least visited country in the world.
@@DaengKulle795 so true sir
@@domingoscoi6798 well it is a fact that Timor leste is no. 5 the least visited country in the world. Even with 270 millions population next door Indonesia or Australia 20 millions no body wanted to go there?
Why is that? Ask your self?
Nothing much to see, expensive so there was no any value to offer.
Next door Bali lombok Labuan has millions foreign visitors while timor leste only few thousands.
Go do your research In the past Timor Leste was the most beautiful and clean country in Asia when Portugal still administrated the island, until your Indonesia dictatorship leader invaded us with his Army and kill more than 100 thousand beautiful souls Timorese, just shut your mounts up if you don’t know what you are talking about,.what your country did after you cost us that much? $53 for a spooky hotel like that? And $25 for a motorcycle? That's quite much ofc. It seems everything is expensive for tourist there. in another hand, the GDP per capita is not more than $2000. It means they only make $150 per month. Mostly they can't afford to book a room in a hotel or to rent a motorcycle 😮
Indeed but the irony is they were overjoyed when tourist coming and making vlogs in there without ever realised that the vlogger also complains about the groossly overpriced accomodations compared with neighbouring destinations like Bali, Labuhan Bajo, or even Darwin.
Gdp percapita is only 1200 usd to be exact.

7:58 Imagine how many lives have been sacrificed for independence. However, until now, the people are still living with extreme poverty, high illiteracy, child malnutrition, and relying on food products and vehicles from Indonesia, even though their GDP is still lower compared to the province of NTT (one of Indonesia's closes province), was fooled by Australia and is now caught in a Chinese debt trap. With that money, you better visit Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, or Labuan Bajo, Indonesia. It is more valuable, cheaper, and safer for you.
U said alot ..bt u knw u need to move on😁
Correction: First, we are completely relaxed with the so-called "Chinese debt trap" because we have zero loans with China. Second, we were not fooled by Australia. We fought for our freedom and independence even during the Portuguese colonial rule in East Timor (at that time your country was not even independent).
@@timorleste9831 First, you are indeed fooled by Australia, had you don't then your people would not going to held massive demonstrations in front of Australian embassy in Jakarta and Dili. Second, you did not fought your freedom, but Portugal dump you like a worthless piece of land.
@@ignatiusryd2031 Well, it is true that ASIS conducted espionage operation in ET. But don't forget "the 2009 ASD's attempt to monitor the mobile phone calls of 🇮🇩 President." We all have been victims before.
Your knowledge of the history of ET is indeed limited. That's why you don't know our struggle to be free from colonialism and foreign occupation. In 1975, they left their colonial territories because they had to due to situation and condition in Portugal at that time.
@@timorleste9831 You need to go back to school. Its obvious that Australia is drain all of your oil dry while you kept put the blame for what Australia done to Indonesia without any valid evidences. Lack of knowledge and huge iliteracy even amongst your own people are obvious the result of centuries under Portugal colonialization without any struggle to abandon the 'colonised mentality'. Highly obvious from your country's official language that were using Portugese rather than Tetun.
Brasil e Timor, parceria que dura para sempre.
Obrigado

Wow its my dream to visit this country
No future for the country oil is stopped producing and oil saving is expected to Vanished in 2030.

@@Michelle123_qw they are the one who brought Indonesia into their Civil War asked to join Indonesia but then later on asked for independence after Indonesia spent a lot of money to develop them.
This was only because they found oil and Australia persuaded to ask for independence so they can be like Dubai and look where they are now.

Great video!! Thank you! (got me to conclude it's not worth the round the world trip here from Brazil, I'll do Indonesia and Philipines only)
5 Jehovah God has given me this chapter on dreams and visions for the Saints. And like the Bible, this sermon will serve many peoples. And at the appointed time, it will place the Church in a new dimension. And I am telling you about it so that you may be prepared for it.
6 Through this chapter, we will walk in a desert without landmarks. But we will go up to the end, because the Angel of God is our guide. God said to Israel: "Behold, I send an angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place that I have prepared for thee". Daniel, Ezekiel, Revelation and many books of the Bible are stories of symbols and riddles. And just as the Bible ends in symbols and riddles, the Church will also end in an atmosphere of symbols and riddles.
7 I wanted to give this sermon in a single chapter like Kacou 146, but having two different aspects, I thought it good to give it in two parts. I am going to speak here of the instructions on prophetism for a return to the original faith, and then I will speak of dreams and visions in a second chapter. It will be like the two Tables of the Law of Moses or the two Testaments of the Bible. They will be dependent on each other like a bow and its arrow. Dreams and visions are the arrows of prophetism.
8 Every human being on earth, including those who do not believe in God, has dreams or visions. They are the means of communication between God and mankind. Dreams and visions are the videos of God to mankind. And they are a language like riddles and parables. And it’s in the time of Africa that God speaks of dreams and visions, because Africa is the land of parables. And like the Ethiopian eunuch, read and meditate on these two words until God sends Philippe to you for the complete revelation.
when will Timor Leste come again?
