Limp Bizkit are fun, they fall under the Nu Metal genre, they were the biggest group in the world at one point, that iconic backwards red Yankees hat, didnt care if they pissed people off, made massive headlines for their balls to the wall Woodstock 99 set in front of 200k+ people... they were in heavy rotation on MTV, so one minute its Backstreet Boys, N Sync, Britney Spears on tv, then its Limp Bizkit, Korn, Deftones, Eminem, so it really put music fans/bands pitted against each other to see what got more air time. Fred Durst even came out and did the breakdown from "Livin It Up" with Christina Aguilera during her performance at the MTV VMAs. They have huge singles, but also some incredible deep cuts, all 5 in the group are great musicians, Fred was the face and took all the hate and fame that came along with it. From their debut album Id recommend checking out "Stuck".

Re-arranged from their second album and "I'll be OK" from their third album are both pretty good tracks you should check out.
Limp bizkit is a pretty fun group to listen to. A good chunk of their earlier stuff is really good, and Wes borland is one of the best parts of the band and an underrated guitarist. 🤘

Fun fact: They filmed this video on the roof of the World Trade Center. They were the last band to play on top of that building....then a couple weeks later, they received a thank you letter from the World Trade Center headquarters. That letter arrived to them 09/10/2001. 😮

Still got nothing but love for LB. They fun with a vibe. What more could you want. They have many bangers. Fred durst from limp bizkit was a tattoo artist and Jonathan Davis from Korn was in town getting a tattoo and limp bizkit had their demo playing and thats sorta the origin of limp bizkit finding success.

@@kylec1411 I agree with you, but they do have a ton of 'unreleased' material from the RMV sessions with some incredible songs that I'm shocked didn't make the album. Fred also did a livestream years ago and played some unreleased tunes that were bangers, but maybe never get officially released or finished. "this shit just got real" is a highlight from that session. Do you know the 3$bill era track "No Control/Don't Remember" that is another gem they used to play live, but didn't make the album

They were labled "NU-Metal". But calling it Rap-Metal always made more sense to me. DJ Leathal used to be in the rap group House Of Pain (another group worth checking out).
I'd also recommend Dub War and Skin Dred (basically the same band that changed their name). They do "Ragga-Metal" (a mixture of ragga, reggae, metal, rap, hip-hop, funk, soul, etc).

I'm from Jacksonville also. Duùvvvaàl. They were a band that had Wes' (guitar) brother on keyboard and no dj. When they got signed they ditched him and got DJ lethal from the old rap group "House of Pain:
". Fred (singer) was a tattoo artist in jax and when the band KORN came to town, Fred tattooed one of the members. The rest is history.
I'm a drummer and my band has actually played with them a show. (Along with "COLD" (Grundig), and Yellowcard. Reason I say this is because: IMO wes' brother on keys, WAS the band! After him I personally think Wes IS the band now. Weird.
    Go Jags!!!

Lots of great musicians and artists has come out of Florida. Here's another suggestion, if interested. "Simple Man - Lynyrd Skynyrd - Lyrics HD" (by the channel: ClassicSongs3) --Lynyrd Skynyrd is an American southern rock band formed in Jacksonville, Florida in 1969. This is one of the finest southern rock bands to have come out of "muscle shoals." And as always, I've enjoyed rocking with you, Nat. Thanks for sharing. peace out~

4:50 - some earlier scratch with rock
Run DMC covering Aerosmith “Walk This Way”
Or, my favorite one - Anthrax covering Public Enemy “Bring The Noise”
Those were covers and collabs, but an earlier start from late 1980s and early 1990s.
I won’t say it - Spiral Out (more Tool every now & again).

They fall under Nu Metal. Still not a fan of that name, but whatever. Mostly growing up they got call HipHop/Rap/Pop/Rock....or Trash. They had a SHIT TON of Haters. They were TOO MTV/TRL. Everyone dissed on them. Like Korn was the top, they were the bottom. BUT they were good and took the hate. Dont be fooled they also brought a lot of it their own way. Fred ran his mouth a lot.
