      Oké, so it went really well actually. Thanks to these videos beacuse I was doing it alone. However I couldn't go for a 5th run because my feet hurt too bad. (I have supports arch supports).
      But I'm not sure if it's my supports or if it's my bindings and/or shoes because they where rental. Does anyone have a clue? Maybe I did the bindings too tight or too loose or is there any other easy mistake that can cause pain?

      @@izzyberghmans3801 could be the boots, sometimes you need to try different ones, but sometimes it can just take your feet while to get used to snowboarding. It might have been the bindings but the boots are more likely to be honest.

    I know this is an old video so somewhat late to comment but I have been absorbing so many of your lessons. I’m currently learning to snowboard and seeing you not land the second trick right away and hearing you having to kind of psyche yourself up at the first very try, honestly made me feel a million times better for falling over, for having to talk myself into just going down the hill. If a super experience rider like you still has your equivalent of those moments, then it’s ok for me to have them too. It’s so hard to know what a natural progression should look like as so much snowboarding content is fearless riders hitting rails and sending it all over the place. No one is ever scared, or nervous. It’s hard to know if you’re supposed to be nervous, if that’s typical. So just hearing that little breath you took at the start was really reassuring.

    • @malcolmmoore
      @malcolmmoore  2 года назад

      Absolutely! The learning curve can be long at times and a little self preservation can definitely be a good thing! I used to do alot more freestyle but as I get older I do less and less of it, still it is good sometimes to push yourself and try new things!

    Hello Malcom! Your videos have really been a huge help to me.
    I’ve just started snowboarding this season and thanks to your videos, I have made great progress!
    I can carve fairly well, and am getting pretty close to eurocarving ( thx to your video on that)
    I recently started tackling blue and red runs 🙌🏽 And I’m finding on the steeper terrain that rather than traversing, my carves end up going into a complete side slip and I’m not sure why…maybe I need to make my turns shorter and quicker??😕
    Would appreciate any feedback you have. If this would make for a good video, great! If it’s just a matter of some simple instruction you can give right here that would also be very appreciated!

    Nice flips! Here's a video idea for beginners like me: what can you do to recover from an error when you feel like you are about to catch an edge or to lose control? For instance my friend told me that sometimes he is about to catch an edge, but to prevent it from actually happening he does a small ollie to "reset". Another example, what is the best thing to do when you fail a turn and you start picking too much speed and lose control? Should you just fall on purpose before you go very fast?

    • @K0xm4N

      I did the same thing when I was catching the edge. Very small olie helps :)

    • @imbrivm
      @imbrivm 2 года назад

      I did a lesson the other week and my teacher at the end of the lesson was showing me how popping a little ollie during your traverse helps you "check" your balance and if you're improperly balanced you will generally fall when you land. It defintely helps if you feel that catch coming!

      I'd say more on a trampoline, just gwt the just of that then similar aspects, you use the bounce to generate the spin backwards same as you do with a board, it's important to go fast, dont shit out of it or you'll end up hurt mid air and jump leaning backwards, the speed you travel at will generate the spin as well as the jump. Be careful and wear helmet.

    Malcolm, you sold me on volume shifted boards. I'm considering getting the Dancehaul but based on lots of reviews and feedback on the web, it's weakness is chatter when going fast. Is that your experience with it? Since you go really fast. I'd consider the warpig but it's not available in the size I want.

    • @malcolmmoore
      @malcolmmoore  2 года назад

      Yeah I mean the dancehaul isn't the best at high speeds, but you can still do it. The dancehaul is obviously much more directional than the warpig or the amplid dada that is riding now. That does make it better in powder though. Just depends what you want it for really. Dancehaul is really fun, easy to mess around on at slow speeds, great in powder and slush, OK in the park and not great switch!

      @@malcolmmoore thanks so much for replying! Sounds like it's what I'm looking for. I don't think I'll be doing a lot of hard charging but I want a board that I can confidently go a bit faster than with what I have today for the occasional need for speed.
      I realized looking at a new setup that there's not a lot of videos out there talking about binding selection. Maybe you can do a video on how to pick the best bindings for different riding styles and also go over some of the tech available in the bindings.
