I have watched a TON of these cupcake decorating videos today and yours is by far the best! Far too many of them build up a huge swirly peak of buttercream/icing just makes them sickly and difficult to fit in your mouth. But then a lot of the flatter icing methods just look dull. This tutorial gives the best of both worlds, I think - a pretty, decorative cupcake topping that doesn't use twice as much icing as cake!

Aaahhh these are so beautiful! I've been using a method where you paint stripes down the sides of the bag with pure colouring paste before filling it up with the buttercream, but as you'd imagine this usually gets results that are way too dark at first. I would never have thought of doing this instead but it makes so much more sense! Thank you so much!
