19" Stereo Power Amp for Guitar
The Palmer MACHT 402 is a 19" stereo power amplifier specially designed for guitar applications. It pumps out 200 watts per channel and 400 watts bridged to drive virtually all speaker cabinets. Featuring a highly efficient switch mode power supply and low noise fan the soft start class D design is protected against overvoltage, DC, short circuits and overheating.
Conventionally named, the channels' Hi and Low controls have been carefully tailored for guitar signals to provide extensive EQ facility, a wide variety of sounds and authentic tube power stage characteristics. In addition, the MACHT 402 sports rumble filtering, LED indicators, a 3-way sensitivity selector, built-in limiter and ground lift switch. With XLR and 6.35 mm inputs as well as Speakon compatible and 6.35 mm output connectors the Palmer MACHT 402 is the ideal power station for guitar preamps, small amps, modelers and even effects pedals.

if i had buy this to use this a pre amp stereo fx processor with full range speakers 60kh-20khz and keep the tone controls at 12 o clock or flat how would this compare with a class A/B 400 watt PA amp? The attraction is the weight 3.5 kilo compared with 28 kilo! as i am in Thailand and thats all they use
What is this power amp voiced off ?
Like, i know that the Koch ATR 4502 is voiced after a Marshall with EL-34's

What if you have a 300w stereo 4x12?
Can it power two 16 ohm 2x12s in stereo
Will this work with two 16 ohm cabinets? Since you stated that I would work with "Virtually any speaker cabinet".
at 4 ohms you get 200 watts
at 8 ohms you get 100 watts
at 16 ohms you get 50 watts

Has this been tested with bass guitar? A clean and drive signal into a bridged output I expect to be a more common use case on bass than guitar.

+Michael Morris Holland Die Endstufe kann auch für E-Bass benutzt werden, wobei sie dafür nicht spezialisiert wurde. Klanglich ist das, wie immer, eine Geschmacksfrage ;-) Cheers

Is there a version for bass?
There is no dedicated version for bass. But you can use Palmer Macht 402 also for bass.

So.... How about 16 ohms cabs.. You know as in a lot of 4x12 cabs.... I hate how all this companies release class D guitar amps with their ratings at 4 ohms or 8 ohms
That's because the amp section is the same as a house stereo system.
You can use 16 ohm loads but the power output will be half an 8 ohm load.
