You are right about this stinky summer. I practically waited all summer for my deck to dry out so that I could get a coat of stain on it. I finally was able to do that 2 weekends ago!
I'm from Philippines...I'm your new subscriber, I learned a lot from your videos...in fact, I'm starting a new business out from what I learned from your videos....
The LP siding ripped does a great job for those subtle curves. I do appreciate your pouring a not wet s slump... it really makes for a better job with the addition of fiber and and additives that you have added at the redi-mix plant.
Another great video and excellent job, Mr Rathburn! If I’m being honest, I have to say I’m jealous. I don’t know how old you are, but I can remember when I could move like that, lol. 😝 Keep it up. Take care and thank you. 👍
Great video, you definitely aren’t afraid of doing all the work yourself. I guess the $ is real nice when you don’t have a lot of help but you still need to take care if yourself also. Really enjoy watching your videos 👍
Hey man..I'm also a content creator in construction. I just want to say you create a great story. Beginning middle and End. I can see your channel doing well. You're a great worker as well and even have me some ideas. Thanks for posting keep it up!
It was a perfectly suitable sand base that the 30 year old driveway was poured on originally. I left the crushed concrete in there and compacted it into the sand to help. Then added commercial fiber mesh and #4 rebar 16” o.c. Please tell me more about your gravel base, I’ve never heard of that before…
I’m in Iowa and we do 3/4 roadstone base compacted for driveways , and around 4 inches of base usually sometimes more depending on grade , but we get deep freeze and tha watch like victory or Rick Thomas they pour how we pour
I’m new to this whole concrete thing so if this is obvious I apologize. Why did you feel comfortable pour new concrete on the old base with out doing anything to it? Is that not the reason the original pad failed??
Nope it was a separate pour without proper rebar attaching the two. There was a gap that water was leaking into. Also the previous guy never Sawcut up the middle so it cracked right in half. Won’t be any issues moving forward

Green bristle brooms are the best brooms.

Thanks man! It’s not by choice. If I had the help I wouldn’t be doing as much

Good video nice when a job goes lile that
Good job
You’re a badass bro
👍
How much did you charge for that job ?
Looks good BTW
I'm surprised you didn't protect the concrete that was staying with plywood since you were going over it in the skid steer over and over again.
Good work ! Curious why you dont dig out for a gravel base ?? Never have seen anyone pour directly on the dirt before !
Simple, it's all about money. People trust his experience and expertise and in the end that is all that matters.

Then it takes 3 mins to take apart. It’s not like it’s a steep slope guys
Boy people would lose their minds seeing how most pour down in the south. 😂

just use your skid loader to put in the concrete
That buggy ramp fucking sucks!!!? Put in 16 footers? Lmao
No remesh?
Not with fiber and #4 rebar
No rock base, no compaction, ground is soft…wtf
The old base was rock... and was compacted.... dont act like a pro, just watch youtube channels or make your own channel if you know it better
