Lol the firework. This is spot on, system admin but want to get into security but it seems so broad I have no idea where to start. Refreshing to hear that the journey may not be as far away just to get started compared to so much other disappointing new lately.
it really not that hard, I was a field engineer boots on the ground installing routers and all sorts ( only installing the box no configurations ), I am now working in cyber security as a Analyst detecting, responding and remediating threats. creating rules and policies to detect malicious/suspicious activity , reviewing alerts and getting involved in incident response where I can. i recommend SOC roles for breaking into the industry so many further pathways are unlocked when you get in. Threat hunting, intel, discovery all sorts
Interesting interview ;) keep going with your youtube channel its definitly under my favorites like John Hammond,NahmSec,DavidBombal,NetworkChuck and so on.
