I was given some very old heirloom tomato seeds, (approx 50 years old) that have some interesting history. These tomatoes had been grown for generations in Siberia in a remote village. Due to religious persecutions in Russia most of the families in this village moved to the US in the late 1700's They brought their favorite tomato seeds with them and successfully continued growing the tomatoes for the next 100 years in the eastern USA. A large number of the members of this religious group immigrated to Canada in the late 1800's due to religious persecutions in their part of the US. The lady that gave me the remaining seeds was a descendant of the remaining families that did not move to Canada. She was tasked by her parents in the early 50's to be the family caretaker of the tomato seeds/plants for future generations. She told me that she grew the tomatoes for many many years and the variety was well established. She said she and her husband bought a sail boat and traveled and sailed the oceans for the next 30 years. Sometime in the 70's she returned for a visit and went to visit her uncle that said he would keep growing the tomato breed. To her shock she discovered that he only had one remaining tomato plant in his yard. She took the only ripe tomato she could find and removed the seeds and put them in the refrigerator where they had been for almost 50 years now. In 2018 I was selling tomatoes at the farmers market in Anchorage and we met. She said we chatted for close to an hour and I must have given her my phone number. Out of the blue she called me in the fall of 2022 and said she her health was not that good and she wanted to find a home for the seeds. She asked if I could attempt to revive the breed and would I be willing to be the new caretaker of the tomatoes. I agreed and she mailed me a packed of seeds. They looked terrible but I attempted to sprouts several of the seeds on three different occasions with no luck. It would be amazing if this kit could help to successfully bring this rare tomato back to life.😁

Do you tip the tube to get the grow soil to come out with the seedling or do you pull the plant out. Also do you sterilize the tubes after each process? I HAVE been with you all for sometime now and have confidence in all your amazing products
Hope to show you pics when I can. Growing for six years and hope you can give me a discount for the product because I will need to start with at least six. Right on!

old seeds, which wont pop with cup and paper towel no matter how much you scarify or peroxide them.
I have my doubts about this product but I might just have to try it out.

@@paddington1670 It seems that the liquid may contain plant steroids and/or an EM-1 type booster. I've had success mixing rooting gel and water to germinate seeds I thought were gone.
