LG realizing they have to be a player in the mini LED game to survive.
They don't need Mini LED to survive. They are doing just fine with or without it. They just saw there is money to be made with the tech so they are jumping in.
Lg hate lcd and many years ago stop develop new models putting all forces into oled. They know that ips made by lg is just expensive shit and when they realize that chinese friend taking all lcd market, lg is buyng now cheaper panels from chinese especially VA. Lg lost lcd war and now try to survive because oled market is not big - peoples don't want pay 2k usd for burning oled. They wanna 1k good lcd.
@modelbaumok9210 What a bunch of bullcrap! Whoever had an OLED can't go back to a shitty LCD TV! I've never had one issue with burn-in! OMG, 😂 my OLED is so beautiful, I don't know how someone can buy anything else!
MiniLED is not Dead! Finally a very good LG next to OLED. Lets hope they price it Right! good alternative to OLED
Thanks for doing all that you do !
My pleasure, my friend! Thank you for being here
wow looks really good, thanks Brian!
Will we get a true review of the 2024 90t at some point
Much appreciated Brian and to Robert for his accommodations. You work quite hard to keep us updated. I now look forward to Sony's new MiniLED and that of Samsung.
Very nice Job LG!
And to think some people said LG's QNED tv's were dead. LG said....."Not so fast!" lol. I am very impressed with what I see Brian and if I was in the market for a Mini LED tv this would be on my short list. Great video my brother.
Looks very beautiful Brian
Be watching tonight , yep thanks for your hard work feller 👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you so much Sparkie!!
I see Caleb Denison 👀
🤣🤣that guy looked just like him
Great video. I have had my QNED85 for a couple of years now. For the price, I am very pleased with its performance; it meets my needs very well.. The QNED90T looks great, but price wise, you can get a C3 for the same price. I am also not thrilled that LG has removed mini-LED and DolbyVision from the QNED85T. Mini-LED really helps IPS/ADS panels with contrast.
Thank you brian
Very happy mini led back we need options thanks
I feel the same way my friend! Thank you for watching
Hi Brian, not every program is in 4k why can't you show 1080p so we can see how LGs TVs can upscale to 4k
Looks good and definitely the 86 inch version is on my radar. Can't wait to see how this stacks up vs the X95L & the the new Hisense U9n.
Great job Brian. This stuff is simply magical these days. Unbelievable....
Thank you so much, my friend! It's an amazing time for TV technology!
Wow, nasty reflections….all the ceiling lights reflecting in the screen. Looks like a nice bright TV though. I’m tired of dim OLED TVs so I’m glad there’s a decent alternative.
What dim oleds have you been watching?
love it. My oled is starting to dim more. Now i can get rid of it.
Might finally be the year to upgrade my older LED! Hopefully prices won't be too high on all of these.
Thank you Brian for this video I want to ask you the contrast is good or the brightness killed the contrast
I’d love to see this tv be a banger. My living room is super bright in the day and I have a wide seating setup. I am rocking the Samsung q85a right now and it offers a pretty nice match for my needs. Bright colorful solid viewing angles and good enough contrast. Would love for this tv to be the replacement because I just prefer lg and it’s just getting to be time to upgrade.
The new VA panel is welcomed!
I prefer ips for colors .
It's IPS
Good side angle view for a VA
It's a VA panel lg ditched ips for 2024.
Brian, another great video! I hope I don't get FOMO! I purchased the A95L last year now I wondering if I should go Mini LED! Thanks brother! lol
Lol 😅
Thanks Brian, good work. Enjoy that Fleshlight you asked for too btw. Cheers brother
😂😂😂😂
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY lolz
Fleshlight..some new backlight technology?🤔
@@frrrmphpoo1700 lol you could say that, it does get really warm so it has a heatsink, some call it a beatsink
The 86 inch version is about the same price as the Bravia 7 -85 inch. Comparison?
Gonna be very interesting to see if the QNED90T or B4 is a better value purchase.
Looks good . How's the motion control?
How does this compare to the 2023 leader the Sony X95L or X93L?
Interested in knowing how it compares to TCL 2024 QM8 and QM7.
Can you review the 89T 98"?
Like a comparison with the X90L 98" ..
Compare the precision dimming and a8 vs the XR chips ..
The 89T right now is $6000 vs the Sony at $7000 ..
How does it behave with 24p content? Is it possible to watch movies without turning on motion smoothing?
Looks great Brian. As good as the Qn95c Brian?
Enjoyed the video Brian, thanks. How does this compare to the samsung qn90c?
tech with KG says that its not bright enough. Is that true? We really need an indepth review. Thanks for all the hardwork
I find it plenty bright my friend. This is just a quick first look . I'll see it again very soon
I must not know what to look at in TV's. I was in best buy yesterday looking at them and I didn't see much difference int he OLEDs vs the mini leds. The only thing that really was noticeable was brightness, but both were so bright I don't see how it mattered. Maybe cause I'm old. Ha.
On some of the OLED screens, when they were panning the image on screen, there was this micro jerking effect, which, reading reviews is what I assume they mean by stutter. That would drive me crazy. I'm having a hard time picking a new TV due to paralysis by analysis.
(Edit: I said oled was brighter, but I think it was actually the mini led that was brighter. My point was that they were both much brighter than my current 2011 TV so not sure what to get)
nice video. Seems like your impressed with this TV. How do you think it compares to the lG G3 just for movie watching not gaming
A ufo ghosting test is must for every new tv
How would you compare this to the 2024 Q85
First impressions looks great. What size does this model go up to?
86"
What is precision dimming?
@leo7onfire I mean like how is it different than a dimming zone. Is it just more dimming zones or do the zones have the ability dim and output less light? I think the later is what Sony is trying to do with their new TV
Oui pas mal je suis d'accord LG sont devenus meilleurs
What about the QNED 85T? They do not have mini-leds right? Any opinion about how it is performing?
How many dimming zones? Do they work when you game on a console or PC?
I will test when I have the TV my friend. Thank you for watching
Maybe qn90c level.
Took them long enough!
For me a guy that does like MiniLED. I cannot ever find myself buying one from LG. They purposely hold it back because they are all in on their OLED. So they cannot let it outshine them in any way.
It has limited processing, much dimmer than it could be and so on. Same way I dislike how Samsung is treating some of their TVs now. Their 4K miniLED is held back in processing as well to steer you to impossibly expensive 900D. We all know both companies could do that high level of processing for their 4K miniLED as well. LG now even hampers the C-series so much it's basically become the new "B-Series" of TVs.
They might have improved. But they are holding back.
100% agree with you. If you want oled you go with Samsung, Sony, or LG. If not oled go with TCL or Hisense.
Not TCL bright?
Why does every TV reviewer hate this TV????
Sometimes I feel like it's the most accurate in the world .
Is this tv out? I can’t find it
@leo7onfire don’t see it when I search for LG TVs on Amazon
@leo7onfire mine are too
What Model number is this in AUSTRALIA The same or QNED91 ???
Qned91 yes
HIT THAT LIKE 👍 LIKE 👍 LIKE 👍
👍
Looks like the Sony X95K 65" I have, but maybe slightly more blooming and less accurate picture overall. Very difficult to judge from this, however.
Sony is bloomfest comparing with QNED90T
Blooming hasn't been totally sorted, even with the local dimming. Shame as I like the QNED Mini LED technology. Unless these are massively cheaper than LG OLEDs, I don't see them taking off as the blooming is too much of a disadvantage. Colours are beautiful though. What's this sucker going to retail at? $2500? I see QLED Mini LED v OLED as a Betamax v VHS rerun. I prefer the more natural look of the QLED, but too many people will complain about the blooming, and OLED will win out.
Price is a factor as well, oleds are cheaper for most consumers in an inflation driven economy, companies like lg display still need to make profit and investors happy with large sells volumes.
To me I always watch with the lights on , very rarely with its off ,, so blooming isn't problem for me ,,, but I want sony acoustic surface audio plus technology ; qled is better and cheaper but I have no choice .
I didn't see blooming in this video
IPS RIP
Make sure you tell them losers at LG that people want VA panels on top tier TV’s, so they can keep their IPS panels on the lower end TV’s.
@leo7onfire I heard reports that it’s going to be a panel lottery, some panels will be VA and other ADS and the consumer won’t know what he/she is getting.
Samsung sku from 2020……..
I wanna see the 85T.
Update: Nevermind. It's edge lit. Give me the x90L from Sony. Cuz at those price points I'd take an X93L or x95L. Or Bravia 7
The 65 inch Bravia 7 is 2300 usd though .
I will wait for Sony.
not impressed with the pricng tho 86 inch is 3 monthly incomes. Thats just as unrealistic as the eu wanting me to buy a ev thats 5 times my yearly income lol. companies get increasingly delusional with pricing.
Also watching this on a calibrated ips panel and no blooming and great back values. Just dont tune brightness to 11 and your 95% there. infact the browser black is darfker thenthe video source so the video source could be better for better black values.
And they seem to ahve less flexibility as you call it them my current LG tv as eco mode is gone just some new energy sdaving whish is terrible. I use my eco mode at ngiht for lower brightness. this does no longer exist it seems. i dont want anything auto as auto is as dumb as todays AI.an d i saw optical out+ speaker all fun and dandy but does that still mean that its limited to aac for the optical part aka low btrate as that makes it mostly useless.
Disappointed by LG's lack of attention to design. This thing sits in our living room & is free standing. Even the back should look great. It has to be a piece of art even when its off. So its Sony for me. Not that Sony is great but its better of the lot. Wish apple made a tv
Wait for the NEW Sony 2024 XR90(C) Mini-LED series, it will crush the LG and Samsung Mini-LED!
Will it come in 98inch size?
The Sony will Max at 85" the LG 86"
It will also crush your wallet so keep that in mind the next time you preach about why we should wait for Sony instead of Samsung or LG.😅
@@Icipher4😅
@@Icipher4 I can't look into everyone's wallet, so that's something each person has to decide for themselves. What I do know is that with 12 years of experience in this business, I have seen many Oled and Led models from LG, Samsung and Sony come by with all their advantages, disadvantages and defects and my advice/conclusion is: buy Sony if you want Mini-Led, and take yourself seriously in Home Cinema, in 2024! Buy LG and Sony if you choose Oled and choose Samsung for everything in between 😅 If you cannot afford Sony Mini-Led, get an extra job on the side or work harder for your boss! 😉
i always had bad luck with LG products, they break easily and come with issues like pixels
Blooming is still more noticeable than Sony's X95L. The color saturation didn't look that good either. If miniLED is to dethrone OLED it won't be this model.
this one is going to be wayy cheaper from what im seeing. its already going to be launching below the x95ls current price
@@momohit1255 After two years of no refreshed models this one does nothing to raise the bar for being a top brand miniLED offering. TCL and Hisense will probably be better and cheaper. That's where LG is in no man's land.
You got all that from a first look video? How much time have you spent with the X95L?
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY Last year was the closest i came to switching from OLED to MiniLED and went with the G3 at the end of all the research online and in person. I get it's a first look but the X95L first look was something else and blooming was subtle to non existent at least to the eyes. Big fan of the content you and Fomo are able to publish!
@rohitmanaktala hope your loving the G3 my friend and thank you for being here
nobody watches these promotional videos to test high end tvs.
I actually watch real movies test them in all formats. I can only show what you see for copyright purposes
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY you can show it by taking screenshot of the movie scenes and Animes then test it running TVs side by side with default presets or your calibrated settings. you won't hav any copyright claim🙂.
@CaptainScorpio24 actually they can copyright screenshot
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY no they can't, they hv allowed for screenshot and smallest clip for fair use without sound..
@CaptainScorpio24 I've had It happen!! I simply won't risk it.
If LG is producing the quintessential Oled technology. Why mini-led? It’s confusing and consumers should beware of another shift in technology coming.
vivid looks like straight trash on every tv. if you plan to use vivid, just go buy the cheapest tv you can find, you don't care about a good panel to start with.
Sometimes I look at some nice mini LED TVs, and I think, "Not bad." But as soon as I turn on my Panasonic OLED, I think, "They just can't compete with a nice OLED!"🤷🏼♂️
